This video is what sold me on this amp. There really isn't many good videos on this on UA-cam. To me it sounds like a kickass vintage super reverb which was my dream amp. I almost bought a reissue Instead.
Man that amp sounds outrageous. Even with everything at noon tone control wise, just the base tone from the gain turned up sounded awesome! It's been my holy grail amp for a while, have to get one some day!
Just found your channel while looking for Cornerstone Gladio pedals, new subscriber. Great playing, comprehensive review. I have this amp and yes, it is killer.
Excellent playing and video Mark! I have the predecessor to this amp the Studio Pro 35 that I’m currently trouble shooting an issue on but MAN am I excited to get it running smoothly again!
It really is such a great and responsive amp. I was initially taken aback by how responsive it was. I never driven a Ferrari but it plays like an auditory sports car. Haha
@@markhopkinsmusic I’ve been eyeing the Two Rock Studio Signature as a home amp so this video was incredibly informative! Also, you’re an amazing player 👌🏽
Great playing and amazing sounding amp! I think one thing that's missing in a lot of "does it sound good/ is it usable at home" discussions is what dB are we talking? Some people are looking at 75, others 100. There's a bit of a difference though! 😁
I've never had issues getting great tones at home at reasonable volumes. Every now and again I crank it and put ear plugs in when I wanna peel a little paint haha.
@Mark Hopkins first, thank you for making great, informative videos! My comment is not criticism of yours, but rather an observation that literally no one addresses the elephant in the room: dB. It's funny to me. I've watched probably a hundred videos on amp demos, and with rare exception, dB is not addressed. Really, not targeting you and your videos! Just the moment of observation... usable at home really means a wide variety of things to different people! 😁 keep up the great work, Mark!
If there’s any silver sterling owners out there I’ve finally figured out how to get it to break up- set the filter controls high, low usually higher than the high- and set the bass on the eq high and treble and mid to taste, all eq switches on Stumbled across that setting and completely changed my perspective on the amp
Thanks for posting this video! I just got a Two-Rock Bloomfield 40/20 and set it all up tonight but now it's too late of an hour to go on a tone-safari...
Hey Mark, love the channel. The Two Rock sounds great - would you say it's a home friendly amp? Appreciate its not fully opened up as it were, but would it be overkill for just home use? Thanks
They are very different amps. But the Two Rock always feels more focused and HD while the Bartel amps have a more vintage inspired feel. If I was wealthy enough I’d own both
Honestly the head/cab has a bit more low end (the cab is open back too) - sounds more open too - but they both sound amazing anyway you slice it! I just like the portability of the combo for certain gigs.
Hi Mark, love your channel. I have a question, hope you could help, I’m making a big decision between getting this Tworock studio sig combo vs gibson es335. My amp right now is Prs achon50 combo with clean channel but not that good in clean, I just wonder if Tworock amp would do well in jazz? beside JM tone which I really love. Which one you would recommend in term of jazz practice? Trying to get into jazz/nice tone but still love JM tone. Hope you could help making this decision, Thanks!
Oh man! I am super biased here but the Studio Sig is one of my favorite amps of all time! It can handle jazz gigs, rock and blues in its sleep. I can’t say enough nice things about it honestly. 🤘
That's my Synaptic Amp . Great boutique builder based out of Maine. I should do another video on that - it's been quite a while since I spot lighted it :-)
@@markhopkinsmusic that’s what I hear too. Not quite all the settings and not as versatile, but when you have a great pedalboard in front, can’t imagine you can hear the difference in a mix on stage
Thanks for the video Mark. 6 months til I get my studio sig for my 40th bday. Can't wait!
Heck yes!

So true!
It’s not cheap, but it’s worth the saving… You won’t be chasing more new amps once you get your Two-Rock, unless you want a second Two-Rock 😂😅
Beautiful playing Mark and a Beautiful sounding amp.

@@trbr1799 Oh no worries, I took no offense at all :-) But next amp demo I do maybe i can get an app with a db meter to show that - great suggestion!
@Mark Hopkins nice! Other than That Pedal Show, you'll probably be the only one! 😁
I spent 4 weeks one night down at Fells Point !

Mark,
Nice demo. I also enjoyed your demos of the bartel Amps. How would you compare the TR to the Bartel Starwood?

What would you say is the main advantage the open back combo gives vs the head and cab

Great stuff man. Have you ever used the Studio Pro 22?
Hey Tim, thanks! I have not, but I do remember that period of time when TR was under the Premiere Builders Guild.
Thanks Dude!!!

I’ve never played thru the CRS so I’m not sure. But I hear this is very close to that amp
