I was just going to mention those. The Rambling Redhead from HGTV had this on IG her husband was using it but it was so detailed I had to scroll on! 😅😂
Wow...lots of opinions on this. I love taking about those things that happen when we reach menopause. I wish we would do more. I actually find that my nose hairs grow back pretty quickly. But on the positive side, I haven't had to shave my legs in several decades. 😂
I’m almost 60. I still need to shave my lower legs regularly. My knees and thighs only once or twice a month. If you don’t mind me asking, how old were you when you didn’t need to shave?
Omgsh, Kimberly, I kinda cringed when you mentioned plucking nose hairs, according to my dr it’s an absolute DO NOT EVER, although you’re only opening a very small “hole,” there’s constantly air going up when we breathe & that includes micro germs, opening up to infection which is one of the worst places to get one!! Dr’s call the entire area of our mid face “triangle of death,” bc it’s so close to our brain. It has happened to me & let me say…it’s sooo painful!!! Pleeease don’t ever pluck your nose hairs, trimming them works…
I actually was recently a victim of an infection just on the entrance to my nose… It was so incredibly painful to even barely touch with my finger tip. (but this happened because I squeezed my nose and created an issue where there was none.)Thankfully, it only lasted a few days but everyone definitely wants to do whatever they can to use completely clean utinsils
@sherryryniak4506 Yah...and I've noticed that (as is typical) Kimberly is simply ignoring those comments warning against her advice to pluck these hairs. (this troubles me, no end😢)...because it's not uncommon on this channel😮
I just read that nose hair is there for a reason. You can go too far with removing the hair. A trim of long hairs is one thing just don't remove it all!
My daughter worked for a derm. The word on removing nose hair by tweezing or waxing is a hard no. Like others here I have a cheap little batter powered on that does a great job. Cuts short but does not leave open follicles.
I am so glad that You are talking about Nose Hair. lol. Since I’ve been shaving my face, my peach fuzz is so much thicker and under my nostrils, I now have so many black, coarse hairs growing. I hate it. And in my nose, oh my word, I use WAHL tiny wand that is battery operated for trimming nose hair. It goes in a circle and is pain free. I absolutely love this little guy. Thank you Kimberly for talking about a very personal problem that we as women just keep hush hush about.
I had my nose hair waxed once, and my experience was it hurt pretty bad. Plus I didn’t like the feeling of not having anything in there. Those hairs are there for a reason! They are very necessary to screen out germs, dust, etc.
Yeah it just started happening in my 40s or 50s! One of those lovely surprises. I use tiny scissors on any hairs sticking out. I check occasionally with flashlight and magnified mirror.
Used to use scissors, then switched to a battery operated nose hair trimmer. My nose hair has gotten more wirey and course as I gotten older. It was driving me crazy until I bought the trimmer. Best purchase ever! 😊
I wax my husband's nose and ear hair about every two weeks, but I'm using the craft pop cycle sticks. I will be purchasing the long swabs to use instead. Thank you, Kimberly.
I have done the scissor technique and am now using a rechargeable nose hair trimmer that I bought at Walmart! Thank you for the incredibly informative video!

OMG! My daughter just made a remark about my long nose hair! I told her that everyone I hang out has bad eyes, so not to worry LOL! Where is your pretty purple sweater from? Thank you!
Hahaha!! My granddaughter commented on my nose hair recently. And it does seem to be an issue now when it NEVER was before! So weird! I just found your channel, recommended by Ann Evolving. I'm so happy I found you!
OMG Kimberly, when I saw this I squealed and jumped out of my chair. I laughed like crazy because I've been cursing those hairs for the last two years. Were they there when we were younger? I have no idea but they didn't start poking out of my nose. 🤨 I've been using one of those little nose hair trimmers, however, it leaves them stubbly and I find then the hairs tickle my nose. I'm definitely going to try this. When you wax any hair growing back is fine so that would be great for the nose. The other thing, when you look inside the nostril it's a black cavern in there. So when your hair inside your nose begins to turn gray (white) it sticks out like a sore thumb. 👍 Getting older is such an adventure!!!!!!
I know several people are saying not to wax inside the nose because the hairs are there to protect us, BUT, I do wax them off every 2 to 3 months in a salon for $15. It's painless and my nostrils look so pretty. Haven't had any issues thus far 👃🏼🙌🏼
Yes, I complain that the hair that once grew on my head now comes out of my nose and face. And the collagen that was in my face is now in squiggly lines in my eyesight (doctor said part of aging and my eyes will compensate and adjust, they have.) The squiggly lines were something I didn't know to expect. Being able to find the humor in all of these things helps to deal with them emotionally.
Please talk about your beautiful eyebrows. Shaping them, and do you have any "bald spots" or areas with little hair? What have you found that has worked to fill in those areas.
Former esthetician here, I’ve waxed my nose hairs and my families nose hairs for well over 25years. It’s painless and I’ll add you don’t wax the whole nostril just the outer area. Also, they make smaller round tip scissors used for trimming eyebrows much safer if you are going to trim nose hairs. Tweezers are so incredibly painful, waxing is the way to go 😉 Edit* I don’t suggest sticking the swab all the way up your nose, you can create a situation where an ingrown can turn into a nasty infection. I use a waxing stick and just swipe on the outside area, I creat a pull tab on the lip with the hard wax. Let it set up and then pull. I’m just not a fan of the swab for safety reasons. Cirepil blue wax is a great hard wax to use ❤
@@catherinebent5101 I’m sorry to hear that. Not sure if you still have a menstrual cycle but if you do I would suggest not waxing during that time. Also, it could have been the person doing your waxing. I never had one person tell me it hurt. Can it be a lil jarring at first? Yes, but painful no. Hopefully you can try again with a new esthetician. 🌞🌙⭐️💜
@@catherinebent5101 I’ve tried 2 different flawless trimmers, I find they still leave hair behind on me … it’s definitely more convenient than waxing but for me waxing is the only way to go, I like to be smooth 😉 I’m glad there are plenty of options for hair removal.
I couldn't resist this video. I occasionally get a few rogue nose hairs over the last few years and have attacked them with tweezers. I don't remember ever getting long nose hairs when I was younger and very grateful I haven't developed hairy ears too! 🤣
I just use hot wax...I'm with you I am just not that sensitive and it's quick!!! And this became a thing for me in my 50's (among some other "fun" things).
I also use the battery powered trimmer. Best thing ever! Thank you for discussing the subject, though. Men should really pay attention to it! Ladies, check your husband’s noses. 😊
Such a pretty color on you-please share the details of sweater and eye look today!! As for nose hairs, I just borrow my husband's battery powered nose trimmer. It' just takes a sec and is safe and pain free.
Now I use the battery nose trimmer, but I've cut & plucked, it depends on whats there. It has a lot to do with your nationality, you don't see little children with hair growing out of their nose. So the older u get the more hair comes out of your head and shows up somewhere else...usually your face.
Oh my gosh.. I laughed so hard and clicked so fast!! Yesssss... Nose hair is a thing! Im 53.. i just tweeze or use scissors.. very carefully.. my wyes really water w the tweezers but it only lasts a few seconds.. havent thought about waxing ... You're the best! 😂
Definitely has increased with age along with a decrease of hair on my head. Little nose hair trimmer works pretty well. While the expensive hair vitamins are increasing the hair on my head, I am also seeing an increase in facial AND nose hair since I started taking them 4 months ago. Company claims they won't do this, but I don't think its just coincidence.
Your hair looks great! I use a battery operated trimmer. Not very often but i do use it if i notice they are sticking out. If not, i have tiny scissors. What a great topic! And yes, the magnifying mirror is crucial! No tweezers! Thats too much pain! Be careful with wax and tweezers if you use Retin A. You have to stop using the Retin A for a week prior. Otherwise, youre pulling skin off.
I pluck the few hairs that are noticeable when I look in the mirror - aka the hairs that can be seen by other people (I don't want to look like my grandpa with nose and ear hairs sticking out). It does hurt but only slightly. Over the years the hairs have disappeared or become thinner. YES - as we get older we grow hair where we don't want it AND lose hair (eyebrows, etc) where we want it. LADIES - we also need to lift those breasts. Get your bra resized.
I didn’t need to trim my nose hair until my late 40’s or early 50’s. I’m sure it grows as we age. Look at elderly men. Some of them have hair coming out of their noses and ears! You don’t see that in younger men. I use a battery operated nose hair trimmer. I’m too afraid to try the wax!
Battery trimmer! Your nose hairs filter pollen and allergens from entering lungs...Long ago I removed too many and I had an irritated nose for some time. Wouldn't want to remove any...just trim...learned the hard way. I'm 71 so not that much hair left to trim and I'm so fine with that.
If i see a long nose hair , i grab the tweezers. I don't think you've talked about odor from private parts. Im using lumey and it really works. The only drawback is that it stinks. But the smell goes away.
I had to go check my nose because I never thought about it and when I checked I didn't notice any nose hair. Now I have those obnoxious chin hairs that are not there one day and the next the hair grew about 1/4", same with a few above my lip hairs. I use a tweezer or one of those small battery trimmers.
Kimberly, the triangle of death is real. Snipping a long hair is okay, but never pluck, besides those nostril hairs serve a purpose. Google, also popping pimples in that triangle area can be very dangerous as well. Take care, Marchand
Is it just me or do you find as you age your nose runs. I used to wonder why older people ALWAYS had a handkerchief tucked up their sleeve or in their pocket, now I know!!
I've used both the scissor and tweezer methods but have NEVER thought about waxing! I wonder if the hairs in your nose serve a purpose, though. I tweeze the ones that I can see but leave the rest.
I’m in scissor mode, couldn’t pluck my eyes water too much! I did get a wax at my local beauty salon but didn’t feel they hit the densest growth area. Think I will look for my own kit
OMG !!!!! this is not a good practice , nose hairs are necessary to remove impurities from the air you breath , completely removing them opens you up to all kinds of bacterial exposure , using a nose trimmer and cutting them back is a much safer method .
You should never remove nose hair. They are your body’s natural defense for germs, dust and debris. I would only trim the hairs that are growing out too far but NEVER remove.
Worried that the cotton will come off the stick when I pull it out and it will be stuck inside my nose. Happened with an off market qtip. Has this happened? Or is the cotton well attached to the stick?
I am 55 and yes! Nose hair is an ugly thing! I use a nose hair trimmer and check for nose hairs all the time on me but strangely I never noticed if my friend’s have nose hairs. Haha
I trimmed my nose hairs years ago with a battery nose hair cutter and it made my nose feel awful. I like my nose hair. Lol. I dont have any thst protrude but i felt itchy in there back then. Néver again unless something grows out of my nose when i get older.😅
Yes and lately when I go to my doctors for whatever I want address a problem sometimes it’s not a problem I just want to know now that I’m 70 I notice more they say to “you’re at that age” well I know my age although I don’t feel my age and I feel I don’t look my age maybe I’m too sensitive about comment but I don’t remember that quote at age 20, 40, or 50😏 so nose hair well I guess we are at that age☺️😉
I have to tell a story. Years ago, one of my sisters was extolling to another sister about how great it is to wax her nose hairs. Typical of the sister learning this information (I’ll call her Jeanette), she decided this sounded like a great idea, not for herself, of course, but for her (extremely patient) husband, who also happened to have a full beard and mustache. I’ll call her husband Bill. So Bill is watching a ball game, minding his own business, when he is summoned to the bathroom by Jeanette, who is determined to rid him of his excessive nose hair. You can see what’s coming- she ripped out about half of his mustache. By the time the “mistake” was fixed, Bill was completely clean-shaven (and nose hair-free!). It was the only time in his adult life that Bill did not have a beard and mustache. I felt so bad for him, but it’s one of my favorite memories of them- So very typical of their relationship.
Be sure not to go too deep to not spend spafh Als, I have a normal nose but long nostrils, I have it professionally done and they can't do it with one stick. Have to go into the up and lower areas separately to get the hairs.
The reason I use a man’s nose trimmer is it last longer than a woman’s and it’s more efficient and we need those nose hairs to filter out the bad stuff by removing them you’re removing your filters
Nose hair is there in the nose to filter Out toxins, dust, and bacteria, to help protect against infection. Also, it is there to help humidify the air we breathe in, for our lungs. Those who are nose breathers (vs mouth breathers) have been found to be less suspecitible to colds and other airborne viruses (than mouth breathers). An otolaryngologist (nose, throat, ear doctor) would be absolutely aghast at the idea of plucking these hairs entirely out of the nose😳 Using one of those electric nose trimmers OTOH, is perfectly safe, bc it only trims off the excess (& visible) length, but leaves the (shorter) hairs and their roots intact.
I use a battery nose hair trimmer that I bought off amazon for about $12. It's fast and easy : I love it
These are great, I agree 👍 they trim without plucking which is an absolute DO NOT ever

Nose hair can be trimmed away, but it is there for a reason! To filter out dust, allergens, etc.

You should never remove nose hair. They are your body’s natural defense for germs, dust and debris. I would only trim the hairs that are growing out too far but NEVER remove.
Very useful! Love it and you!
I just adore you!!
Worried that the cotton will come off the stick when I pull it out and it will be stuck inside my nose. Happened with an off market qtip. Has this happened? Or is the cotton well attached to the stick?
I don’t know if I didn’t have it, or that It has gotten darker! My nose is sensitive and it is horrible to get the ones that show.
I have nicked the inside of my nose with the battery operated trimmer.
Oh noooooooooooooooo. I use the battery nose hair trimmer. I'm concerned that waxing or pulling out the hair could result in an infection.
Ok now I have to check out under my nose 👃🏻 I never noticed if I have any showing yuck lol
What type of wax do you use
Could we use the waxing apparatus for lip?
I use a man’s nose trimmer. Cheep and easy. I buy it at Walmart or Marshall.
The reason I use a man’s nose trimmer is it last longer than a woman’s and it’s more efficient and we need those nose hairs to filter out the bad stuff by removing them you’re removing your filters
There are some good YT videos on this. There are applicators made for this, or you could use a popsicle stick.
Nose hair is there in the nose to filter Out toxins, dust, and bacteria, to help protect against infection.
Also, it is there to help humidify the air we
breathe in, for our lungs.
Those who are nose breathers (vs mouth breathers) have been found to be less suspecitible to colds and other airborne viruses (than mouth breathers).
An otolaryngologist (nose, throat, ear doctor) would be absolutely aghast at the idea of plucking these hairs entirely out of the nose😳
Using one of those electric nose trimmers OTOH, is perfectly safe, bc it only trims off the excess (& visible) length, but leaves the (shorter) hairs and their roots intact.
