At the age of 80, I have worked very hard to care for my skin. This is the payoff for me. I use as little face makeup that I can to let my skin shine through. I emphasize my eyes and lips, still in a subtle way. My bronzer and blush are just enough to contour my face without looking harsh. I love this video and I love my 80 year old face!
At the age of 80, I have seen this look come and go throughout the 65 years I’ve been wearing makeup. These beautiful and natural skin tones are always a refreshing change after we’ve experienced a lot of colorful, vibrant, or extreme trends. We’re all ready for a more natural and refined look before we embrace the next “big thing”. And, of course, these “latte” looks have always been business appropriate.

I’m 68 and have just found your channel! I need help with my eyes and also my lips!!! I’ve suffered with very thin lips my whole life. I LOVE your simple eyelid make application tips! What recommendation would you give me to accentuate my extra-thin lips? I NEED all the help I can get!
So agree.. I too have been wearing ‘makeup’ since 1950 (I’m 87)… this look always looks so flattering! I remember when the most popular brands were Maybelline and Ponds!!
I'm 69 and love that there are ladies my age and beyond who still care about these things. I even take makeup when I go to the hospital! It just makes me feel better even if I'm not well. Thanks for leading the charge, so to speak, Nikol!

As I age (69), I have intuitively changed my makeup according to the changes in my eyes and skin. I do the same type of make up. At this stage less is more. I always apply color in my lipstick to coordinate with the colors of the clothes I'm wearing. People always compliment my make up. It looks natural but not washed out. Thank you. It was one of your most beautiful videos, especially: " You do you" ❤😊

I always match my lipstick to what I am wearing. I also get a lot of compliments on my makeup. I used to see people wearing a red blouse with pink lipstick. It always drove me nuts!

I am 65 and have been wanting to change my makeup look too, I am going to try this as well.
Women are important, we are the life bringers, some of us have jobs and many things that occupy our time. that's no reason to skip the make up . I turned 65 in June and have noticed that I can pass a mirror and not even glance at myself. While cleaning this fall I had taken a mirror down to clean it's frame, while re hanging it I got a look at myself and was a little shocked at how I look. so now I have a spot in front of a window where I put a mirror and my cosmetics. I am finding out how long you can leave mascara before it dries out. lol I'm looking old, tired, and like I'm miserable. 1st thing I did was smile and the crinkles and lines I saw... so that's where I'm at but I have ordered some makeup online and am planning a trip to sephora soon.

Oh, and PS, that is a great tip for mascara application. All that squiggling at the base of the lashes that I do gets sloppy.
Another great tip - seems crazy, but actually blinking while applying mascara gives a beautiful result. 👍🏻

I didn’t know this was a new trend, at 67 I’ve been doing this with brownish/hazel eyes and grey hair for years. It just has always worked for me. Thx for sharing Nikol!

I’m 80 and have always loved makeup but now aware of not over doing my face. Just love this under stated look it looks so right for most ages and I’m definitely going to try it.

I really appreciated the video u did on using your eyeliner as a subtle eyeshadow. That has helped me so much! I have very sesitive eyes and cant use shadow or eyeliner. But using the liner the way u showed, and a bit of hypoallergenic mascara only on top, works much better for me. Thank you!❤

This look is stunning. I want something that looks fresh without looking made up. This is it. Thank you. I’m 61 and have gone natural with my hair (now white, gray, and brown - formerly blonde) and now none of my previous makeup approaches feel right. This gave me some great ideas.
I've been seeing this look all over social media & my first thoughts were this is so reminiscent of the Super Models of the 90's! I remember wearing it then and have always enjoyed neutrals for an everyday look. Now I just bump it up a bit, being fair & blue eyed!

I received your eyeshadow, mascara, eye cream and lipstick , of course I used them right away. The Naughty Nancy pallet made my blue eyes POP like no other pallet I own! The color corrector took away my very blue circles.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone of your products.

My struggle: selecting the right foundation color. Need to take a trip to Sephora to have someone help me with shade matching so I won't waste money on an expensive foundation that I can't wear.

Gorgeous! I love these colors. The is eyeshadow palette (Cabana, right?) “latte” trend is and has been my go-to colors since the 80’s after getting away from the blue or green eyeshadow trends of the mid to late 70’s.

I like this look very much. It's natural & soft. Thanks for keeping the sheen out of the bronzer! About the concealer application, I have always had trouble covering dark circles without looking ridiculous! Then I discovered Nikol's method & trired it. It WORKS. I carefully blend the light color down & later apply blush. It works perect. As long as it works, I don't care what I'm "supposed" to be doing! Next, I'll try the mascara application technique! That three well eye pallet reminds me of my favorite pallet in the 90’s! I can’t remember exactly, but I believe it was from Estée Lauder. Loved it, thank you for creating a similar one. I’ve been struggling to find the correct colors of lipsticks since I hit my late 50’s am am suddenly more pallid. I like this idea of layering colors. Thank you for such a great tutorial!
What a great tutorial… as I age, my “needs” as far as applying my makeup changes (sometimes daily it seems😳) and everyone’s “needs” are different in order for us to feel beautiful in our own skin❤. And THAT is the sole purpose of makeup anyway…. To help us feel good about ourselves. Some people, having their hair done is most important, some, being impeccably dressed is their “thing”, for me it’s my makeup🤷♀️ and I love a good “natural, monochromatic” look. And looking like you just better is actually very tricky. But, I love the whole process… very relaxing❤❤

I'm 25 but this was such a great make up tutorial and I actually haven't really gotten into make up because all of the people my age doing tutorials are always just doing too much. I want a very natural look I don't want a lot of make up on my face, so I am gonna have to try this one out. I really liked the bit where you covered your dark circles i swear I'm plagued by them it doesn't matter how much I sleep I wake up looking like I have black eyes. The shadows and discoloration is so bad.

I have the same question, I am Latina age 67: my eyelids have brownish shadow (discoloration?). I have naturally tanned skin. Is brown shadow a good choice for me?

Best mascara tip for application I've ever seen . I never had any luck with applying mascara , always had the clumps no matter what brand .

I'm 70 and have acne scars and my skin is STILL OILY. It sucks. I have to add witch hazel to my liquid foundation sparingly so the scars aren't pronounced.
Especially for work & daytime...do this. Nighttime face can be brighter, etc.

I love the "no makeup" look...at 68 years old today, I think, for me, less is better. There was a phenomenal eye makeup pack back in the 80's by Christian Dior called "moon whites" .....it was the best eye shadow I've ever seen, sadly they don't make it anymore. But it was something that could be blended into any color shadow or even blush, to create beautiful colors that were subtle and unique. It's nice to see some of the more subtle shades of eye shadow coming back. Great video, many thanks 🙏❤

I’m going to pick up that eyeshadow trio. It looks to be the perfect neutral. Not too warm or too cool and I feel it’ll give a nice soft looking eye. It looks very forgiving. I like the small brushes too. A perfect travel palette as well as an everyday no makeup makeup look.

I'm in my 50's and have been a Cosmetologist since '97 . I've done tons of makeup over the years weddings of all sizes, proms, events and special occasions galore. But I have to say in the end a soft classic makeup is my fav. Just found your channel today. Love your video and have been researching talc free cosmetics, especially powder because that's my foundation. So I love that you have your own line and will be trying it. As I’ve aged from red into blonde/ silver hair, I’ve been really getting into “ the less is more “ makeup look with a focus on “your skin but better”.

Also trying the lower cost makeup and saying what works well. I'm learning a lot! I don't understand why the heated eyelash curler?

Lately I've been mainstreaming my process: i use lipstick for everything: lips, blush, bronzer, eye shadow. Is this bad? It seems to work. I do use a primer or lighter color on the lids to lighten them up though.

Honestly I thought that I was too lazy because that is the makeup I use to used always, even when I see people with those nice trending makeup, I keep doing the same one hehehhe🤭
I love this palette on my olive skin (the eyelid primer great). I bought it & it’s become my daily go to color. Sometimes I only use one or two of the colors rather than all 3. It’s just easy and goes with everything.
