I was born and raised in London to Cypriot parents and would love to live there but house prices are steep and then you need an income. Unless you have a good job lined up and cash money to buy a house then this is not doable for the majority. I can retire in a few years but my pension wouldnt cover the cost of living there and all my money would go into a property so I would have to continue working. I have been looking at other places like Bulgaria where you can get a lot more for your money and live comfortablely on a reasonable pension
@inconvenientfacts6452 yeah lots of variables tho. Do you need a 380k rentable house to retire here? Or do you need an 80k house? If you have Cypriot parents you don't need to meet an earnings criteria. Why not rent a 2 bed apartment in Peyia for £500 per month, right next to all the bars?
