i agree. that's why I like the Girl/chocolate twin shape. More company's need to offer wider boards with smaller wheelbases. That's why Heroin is killin it right now
EXACTLY 💯 I HAVE BEEN WRITING POWELL ABOUT introducing modern shapes and their flight decks for 3yrs. Flight decks are the best! If they ever start offering the same shapes heroin does, Mark Foster is sitting on the side of the street with a cup in his hand. As he should be with his horrific graphics. My pals continue to waste the technology on these old Caballero shapes, and pencil directional boards is beyond my comprehension. It's like this company is run by a 70-year-old who don't even skate?
Powell boards look way flatter than their counterpart vx decks through nhs. I just regripped a sketchytank vx and i believe the 8.8 is my favorite shape
If you spread some wood glue onto a tail as it’s starting to razor, and just keep doing that every couple of days, these flight decks especially will last a LONG time. I’ve found that Titebond Number 3 works really well, because it dries really strong.
@@eastcoastcurbkiller I just think of it like shoe-goo (though a lot less toxic, so I can do it indoors). It takes almost 24 hours to properly dry, but then it really preserves the pop.
@@bw6927 oh sick! I’ve considered epoxy, but haven’t bothered because I figured it would be kind of messy. If it lasts that much longer, though, that would be worth it.
I love flight decks man. The pop stays so good. I skate the AA Heron 2 Egg (symmetrical) mainly but I wish Powell would make symmetrical Flight decks (8.5-8.75")
i have been skating china made dlx true fit 8.25 and 8.06. they are way flatter than bbs made. thats all we got here in europe. bbs dlx boards are rare nowadays here :D
I have an Ishod easy rider 8.38 and the k26 shape 8.5 and only because I have other flight decks I noticed that when the normal maple deck wears it still has pop but feels dull. Whereas the flight decks even when they start to razor tail they still have a crisp snap to them. I will say I don’t think I could skate the 8.5 flight deck if it had the 14.5 wb that the easy rider has. The flight decks grab a little more when you flick so I’d probably rocket constantly. It took me long enough to get used to their 14.25-14.38 wb and I’ve been using 14.25 for quite a while with Baker
Yep I totally agree symmetrical popsicle are wear its at ..my son is 8 and he only wants to skate twin nose/tail Chocolate boards are taking all are money right now😂😂
@@parsonicservices3576 hahaha I absolutely love the symmetrical girl/chocolate boards. If he likes those he will probably like the new primitive twin noses. Those are my favorite.

If you drilled new bolt holes you are defeating the purpose of reviewing the board. The change in wheelbase on the new boards is one of the major new features of them.
@@idmhead0160 no I’m not? The wheelbase on their 8.25 hasn’t changed from the old mold to the new mold. It’s always been the same. What’s changed is concave and steepness of the kicks.
@@eastcoastcurbkiller The wheelbase changed on some of the sizes. For example, the 8.75 used to have a 15" wheelbase and is now 14.5. The review is fine. Just saying, most people aren't going to redrill and change their wheelbase. At that point, just get a different deck or adjust to what it is.
@@idmhead0160 tons of people do this so you are definitely not speaking for “most people”. And if you like a mold because of steepness or whatever but don’t like the wheelbase this is an option. People can do whatever they want with their boards.
