to be honest, I've found ds2 to be the most difficult game in the series, if we're not counting bloodborne, but, I found it hard for the wrong reasons. I haven't finished ds2 yet, and, honestly, I kind of don't want to. The bosses in ds2 are piss poor easy, but the enemy placement is what makes this game ridiculously difficult, and I can't stand it. It feels like they wanted to focus on making this game as annoying as possible. There are things I do enjoy from this game, but, my god, it just feels okay at best to me. It's so okay that I don't even want to finish it, I'd rather just skip to 3, or beat 1 for the 5/6th time... or maybe playing ng+ on bloodborne. Essentially, this feels like the cheapest game in the series, hard for all the wrong reasons.
Billythepancake I know it's like they are easy but there are so many at one time and the bosses are easy I beat the first one with the giant sword with crap weapons I mean for real all you gotta do is this dodge hit enchant repeat
Whatever build you do, I would recommend to level the stat adp. Adaptability increases for example the Estus using speed and the I frames while dodging.
This is the comment I was looking for, which is the only thing I felt was missing from the video. For players that are used to DS1 i-frames, ADP is super important.
@@kevinlin92Regardless of class, 105 agility is the sweet spot for dodging. 110 agility is not enough for an extra I-frame of dodging, although backsteppers get one at 108. Anything more is prohibitively expensive.
"Dark souls 2 is the easiest" Yeah and its the only one where PvP is actually based off of skill instead of abusing glitches or just mashing R1 better than your opponent (DS 1 and 3 respectively).

Six additional things: - Once you get the thing from the big dragon go back to where you fight the spider whose ass is also a spider. You can get something extra in that area. - Every time after you defeat an invader (red murder ghost) go back to that one bonfire after the dark skeleton tunnel in the Forest of the Fallen Giants. Near that place is a dead giant who sometimes has something for you that helps you against subsequent invaders. - After obtaining the King's Ring go back to the bonfire in the castle right before the room with the six Sentries. Go to the door there and down the ramp: doing the thing at the end there will save you major headache at the end of the game. - There's five Giant Souls in the game. One is dropped by the enemies you fight in a hidden area in Dark Poison Fun Land, three are picked up from the places you go to with the thing the dragon gave you and the final one is dropped by the big dragon itself (but you don't really need that one, and getting that one is hard as balls). If you have at least four of them you can go to where you found the King's Ring and do the right thing in that area. Then go back to the Shrine Of Fuck You, find the reused boss just after the second bonfire and go through the door after him while not being hollowed. You get some nice stuff there. Also take a Giant Soul to the doors found in the pit and the one in Rickety Dark Town. - After doing the above go back to the area where you did the right thing while the headwear you found by following the previous point is in your inventory. Do the same again after getting similar items in the DLC: if you do this for all four of them they all gain an additional ability. - Find the old guy in the chair three times by falling down the second hole in Lion Ghost Fun Land, by falling down the hole in the castle in the Sentry room (far door on your left) and by falling down onto a ledge in Dark Poison Fun Land. You need a Giant Soul for this last one. If you do this in this order it becomes easier to be a Pilgrim of Dark. Make sure you go to Lion Ghost Fun Land second, and the castle last. If you have trouble with the final fight here, use the Hex that silences your opponent.
i know all I need to know about the souls series, I just still enjoy your content enough to watch it, I only started watching recently and I am happy to say you have gained this sub
This video really helped me out! I decided to go for a Sorcerer/Dex build, currently 75 hours in, trying to whack monsters to death after I run out of spells. Some areas are a breeze, like the old iron keep, while areas that have resistance to sorcery are pretty difficult.
i started out playing dark souls 1 and beat it in new game + even but when i play dark souls 2 i feel it is much harder that or i cant find my way around
Zephyr dyno I found dark souls 2 to be the hardest and dark souls 3 to be the easiest probably because I am really good at bloodborne and ds3 plays like bloodborne
Flexile sentry was the hardest boss for me, i played Ds2 on 360 as my first souls game many years ago and recently got 3 and mastered it, so maybe i could whip it now, but back then it was my Dancer of the boreal valley.
Ok I'm happy i clicked on this it helped while giving me a good laugh i just bought the game so wanted to see some tips about it also i think ds3 is the easiest considering it was the first one i played and didn't die till the nameless king
you know it's a great video when at the 10 minute mark i start checking how much longer is left since my brain is saying there was at least 30 minutes of talking and info crammed into this so far and i swore this was only 13 some minutes. good job on the fast talking info cramming into everyone's cramholes!
I just got this game yesterday. I knew this game was not going to be easy at all. But fuck. I only got past the tutorial and into Majula and anywhere else I just keep dying and dying and dying. What's worse is my equipment is falling apart.
trequor My first playthrough my Scimitar broke and had no idea how to repair it. But by now I already finished the game and even went through the DLCs.
I made the HUGE misstake to watch guides for darks souls 1 and took out the fun and wow factor so i made hige misstake 2 and decided to play ds2 without any info and at drangleic castle i decided to see if there are areas that are actualy fun cause i played hoping for the fun to start but it just didnt
And this is soooo important, if you want IFrames (the things that make you invincible during your dodge roll) and to make drinking estus faster, get your adaptability up to 20 at least, it raises agility which gives you the bonuses I mentioned.
The reason I loved DS2 so much is because the enemies only respawn so many times, giving the souls you collect some weight. In DS1 you were like, what I lost 250k souls? Back to the Painted world to farm for 10m, oh shucks!
I love that feature I don’t know why but this game is absolutely fucking brutal for me and yet I beat DS1 with almost no challenge, so having to kill the enemies only for a select number of times is a godsend
I just endlessly farmed the Crest Of Artorias area in the Darkroot Garden in DS1. I got 18,000 souls each round during the first playthrough, and around 60,000 each round the second playthrough. I ended up having Strength, Intelligence, Faith, Attunement and Endurance all the way up to 50 by the end of the second playthrough.
So far I don't see why DS2 is easier than DS1 or Demon's Souls. You needs some 20+ STR for a shield that blocks 100% physical damage judging from the stat requirements of the starting 3 options at the first Blacksmith. The controls are slower and more delayed than in the previous games. My biggest criticism is the enemy lock-on system doesn't feel right. IDK if I have to toggle some menu game option, but time and time again my locked-on attacks vere off sideways from the target; probably because there used to be tilt attacks. It seems that there's less moves in the weapon move sets, so it's not like you can poke with a rapier while hoping backwards.
The slowness and the character not attacking TOWARDS the target reliably are my biggest criticisms of combat. Especially since I beat bloodborne first, the slower combat is so frustrating. Stunlocks and animations take an eon to recover from. But all in all, once you learn the timing the slower pace makes it a cake walk.
Because people have adjust to dark souls or maniacs demons souls which literally can power bomb the entire rest of the series in new game plus while set in new game because demons souls maybe broken but it has the most idk fun case of difficulty spikes because I love dying and dark souls didn't kill me as much but I have like 800 hours in demons souls to dks2 and keep accumulating hours in all of the games

Watching this on 2021 because I start to play Darksouls 2 xD
You should do sly cooper
This will be my first Souls game Buns, I’m putting my faith in you.
Thank you, I really didn't know shit about this game lmao
Love your voice, and your deliverance. Great job!!!
That california accent is one of the reasons I love listening to your voice for a couple hours on its end
+Esper its a weird mix between Californian and Southern...and well just general goof. But I'm glad you like it ;D
+SuperButterBuns hey buns! I loved your persona 3&4 for beginners! 11 out of 10 👌
you know it's a great video when at the 10 minute mark i start checking how much longer is left since my brain is saying there was at least 30 minutes of talking and info crammed into this so far and i swore this was only 13 some minutes. good job on the fast talking info cramming into everyone's cramholes!
If you've seen RWBY by RoosterTeeth, she sounds like a mix of Ruby and Nora
Reason why i am here is becausw i enjoy your video's. They are quite funny and enjoyable.
I am saddened at the lack of Junes.
TylerTheDragon everydays great at your Junes
Best vid so far on any souls games. Had me super invested! And you're hilarious!
I just got this game yesterday. I knew this game was not going to be easy at all. But fuck. I only got past the tutorial and into Majula and anywhere else I just keep dying and dying and dying. What's worse is my equipment is falling apart.
wat. Equipment repairs every death
trequor My first playthrough my Scimitar broke and had no idea how to repair it. But by now I already finished the game and even went through the DLCs.
Henry The Fucking Tank Engine NO SPEAK NOT OFF THEM PLZ NNOOOOO
Amazing video ahead
I made the HUGE misstake to watch guides for darks souls 1 and took out the fun and wow factor so i made hige misstake 2 and decided to play ds2 without any info and at drangleic castle i decided to see if there are areas that are actualy fun cause i played hoping for the fun to start but it just didnt
same thing happened to me
Best beginners guide ever.
Your voice is like Dark Souls - unpleasant and pure suffering to hear, but kind of appealing in places :o
And this is soooo important, if you want IFrames (the things that make you invincible during your dodge roll) and to make drinking estus faster, get your adaptability up to 20 at least, it raises agility which gives you the bonuses I mentioned.
Oi how's it going on Nocturne?
+Mada From her last stream I believe she was on her way to Ikebukuro.
TylerDaDragon Has she fought Dante yet?
+Mada No, she's just beat Matador.
TylerDaDragon How many tries before she actually did it?
Ok this is my new fav channel. Subscribed.
MOOOOOOOON RIIIIIIIVEEEEER
WIDER THAN A MIIIIILLLEE
SOME DAAAAAAY
I love when people make beginner targeted videos and show the entire game in it
The reason I loved DS2 so much is because the enemies only respawn so many times, giving the souls you collect some weight.
This was the most entertaining guide I've ever seen.
Got gud.
I've seen you a lot on streams
Git gudder.
30,000 Subscribers! Congratulations Buns!
+Omega 64 Thank you :D
+SuperButterBuns No problem, you deserve it.
Watch Mojo brought me here and I'm so happy it did. Your videos are very entertaining.
i need some help with DSII
*looks up guide*: "GIT GUD"
Just beat Dark Souls remastered at a friends after a few months of weekly sessions. My assistant manager just offered to let me borrow ds2. Can’t wait!
Good video, ya casual :P
I wish every video I watched had your enthusiasm.
I couldn't get pass the forest of fallen giants.
