      @@brianruperti I really like the steering wheel of the SE version better than the LE version which I currently own 😂😂😂😂. I will be doing major trip first time this pandemic started this weekend, so I will be driving roughly 180 miles roundtrip, will see how it will perform on gas. The 2020 only has 11.5k miles which is really low mileage for the year right.

    It drives me nuts that the door lock/unlock buttons don’t light up. It’s so frustrating trying to find them when I want to unlock the passenger door in the dark to let someone in. Why would a modern car not have lighted buttons?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  Рік тому +7

      I agree with something small like that. Take this for what you will, it may help:
      The door lock button on the door has a smooth button for the unlock and a nobbed button for the lock. So without looking, you can find the unlock button right on the drivers door by feeling for the smooth button out of the two. Then you can feel for the two dots on the lock button.
      Also, most Toyotas after 2014 actually unlock all doors when you put the car in park and relock them when you put it in to drive.
      I hope these 2 tips ease your issue with the lack of button lighting.

    I'm getting a base SE in Super White color, say no to moonroof/sunroof package, remember kids, don't pay someone extra to put a hole on your car's roof which inevitably breaks and leaks, and you get less headroom due to the moonroof.

    Do you know anything about that lumbar switch on the side of the seat at 11:22? My car has that switch but I can't find any info about it online. It lights up red when it's switch up and doesn't light up in the down position. I'm wondering what the differences are when you have that switch up vs down?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  Рік тому

      That switch is an after market heated seat switch. It should light up red or green depending on the level low or high heat.

    Just got a 2022 Corolla cross xle and this video has been super helpful with how a few of the features work. It has a bigger screen and it’s centered and is the speedometer display as well but it all seems to work the same.

    protip: always use intake air when AC cooling is on for longer trips. This car is dumb and won't let the moister out when you shutoff thus you will get a bad odor. For longer trips, you can switch to intake air for the last 10-20mins of the trip to get rid of the moister.

    Is the car a 2022 Toyota corolla SE hatchback or just a regular sedan?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  2 роки тому +1

      It’s the reverse. Both the corolla sedan and corolla hatchback (which are 2 entirely different cars) are offered in the SE trim. Hope that helps.
