Plus the cost is more to replace those kinds of tires and wheels/damage from curb rash. All of those options or wheel packages just add more $$$ and mark-up to vehicle price i.e Honda Civic with sunroof along with those tire and wheel packages. The other important thing to me besides having a comfortable riding car of not having a bumpy stiff ride, road noise, engine noise is to have the top Toyota stereo system and speakers from the factory.
@@microminiskirt Your points are very valid. The manual transmission doesn’t have start stop. Even if you did, I don’t think it will destroy your engine. Hybrid Toyotas use this feature all the time and they last a very long time. What I like, base Corolla has full speed adaptive cruise control unlike base Camry. Have to get AWD, hybrid, or X trim for full speed. Doesn't have electronic parking brake in base
some pet peeves: no small compartment to put your loose coins/small items! usually older cars have them, also no cig light for your adapters, no really good space to put a vent mounted phone holder as well ( no room on the dashboard, anyone got ideas?) , no wireless auto android yet, maybe via future head unit software upgrade enables it?

This video has been the MOST helpful for me!!!! I GOT MY 2022 TOYOTA COROLLA LE!!!! 😃 Now, can you explain to me how I should use the different lights (ex: high beams, low beams, automatic, etc?) Also, are their fog lights in this car, if not, what lights should I use in foggy weather? Lastly, I got my car in BLACK SAND PEARL 🙂 Any suggestions on what to use/buy to clean the car at home? Thanks!
Hey congrats!!!! So glad it helped. If you set it in auto it will do all of those for you. Nice right? If not, use DRL during day, and full headlights at night. You likely do not have fog lights on your car, so use the LOW BEAMS during fog. Not the high beams as they cause a lot of light bounce back. Black sand Pearl is a really nice color! I suggest checking out my video on washing your vehicle: ua-cam.com/video/ZBjImUoYTfg/v-deo.html It’s very in depth and I don’t ALWAYS do it this way. But generally the “two bucket” method is your best bet. After you watch this, if it’s too much, just search “two bucket wash” and see whose routine fits your needs best! Enjoy the new car!!!

Guys I’m thinking of getting one this week same model ‘22 Corolla LE very exciting but can any one let me know what are those 4k packages that Toyota offers while purchasing the vehicle? Is that warranty? Would you recommend getting it or not
I just bought one and waiting for it to arrive soon! 🙌🏻 Just want to know if has a reverse camera? I see videos that shows it and others like this that don’t. Does the car has it or not? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for this video. I have a 2023 hybrid. The pedestrian warning sound while driving with low speed is unbearable inside my car. It is a very unnatural sound that should warn pedestrians but in the process I believe due to the poor insulation it comes straight inside the car and makes the driving experience horrible.
@@brianruperti The pedestrian warning sound suppose to alert pedestrians. It makes a horrible screeching sound like a bad break pad that needs to be replaced immediately, metal to metal grinding noise. Unfortunately it sounds horrible inside the car as well in the Corolla. I would understand if pedestrians has to be aware of a quiet vehicle but it is so unfortunate that the sound also noticable inside the Corolla while driving forward under 25mpg.. which is all the time, since there is either low speed or stop and go traffic most of the time where I live and work. It is also there in reverse. I whish they would either do better insulation to protect the driver from this disturbing sound or lower it to a level that is bearable to the driver or they would use a different sound that imitate a healthy car sound rather than this screeching, grinding that makes your driving experience awful.
Just got mine used from a third party dealership and I’m nervous about two things: 1. My key fob does not work; we changed the battery twice and the buttons still don’t remotely lock/unlock the doors, open the trunk, or sound the alarm. Tried loads of “ reprogramming” tricks and hacks found online but to no avail. 2. The little LED light to the right of the display screen and on the front passengers side showing something with about airbags? There is no warning on the drivers dash just that little light as seen in this video, what does it mean? Pls help
Hi, Brian!!! I’m back w/ another question. Yesterday I went in to get my car serviced for the first time, the 5,000 maintenance. I have the 2020 Toyota Corolla LE, btw. I got it new back in January. Well, the service guy told me that they wouldn’t do an oil change until my next scheduled maintenance, which is for 10,000 miles, or in March 2023. My oil hasn’t been changed since I got the car & the oil light hasn’t come on yet. Does that sound correct to you? They told me that since my car is using synthetic oil, it lasts longer. I’m kinda skeptical. I’m a woman who doesn’t know much about cars, but that doesn’t sound correct to me. What do you think or recommend? So I gotta wait a WHOLE year before getting my oil changed???! 🤔
Hey welcome back! Yes Toyota care only pays for your 10k and your 20k oil changes but every 5k you get a tire rotation and fluid top off. My personal suggestion is oil changes every 5k or 6 months but do what you feel is best based on what your maintenance guide says!
@@brianruperti okay. I want an oil change. Since Toyota didn’t do it, should I go somewhere else like Jiffy Lube? What place do you recommend that I go? Also, thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I truly appreciate it ♥️
I agree with your decision on the 5k oil change. I don’t suggest quick lube places like jiffy lube because I think the oil needs more time to run out. I think the few bucks extra to have the Toyota service center do the job is worth it for two reasons: 1.) the car is getting handled by people who handle only Toyotas all day, and they can notice things others cannot. And they have the feel for it. 2.) When time to sell or trade the car comes, you can strong arm someone for a better value on your car by proving it was ONLY serviced at Toyota. This also helps if you ever have to use your warranty. There is no argument if you’ve always serviced at Toyota. So in conclusion, I think the higher cost of dealer service is a small insurance policy worth paying. That’s my opinion. And some may disagree. That’s okay. But I hope my insight helps! You can always write to me if you have questions.
@@brianruperti ok, thank you so much. I’m gonna take heed of your advice. I’ll be calling my Toyota Dealership to make an appt for the oil change to put my mind at ease.

Very informative video, appreciate it

Congrats!!
@@brianruperti l love my 2020 LE in celestite
@@alvinsimba734 Celestite is awesome. Very unique color. Enjoy it!
What I don’t like about this model is the display screen it’s a vision blocker that’s the only one bothers me. Thanks for the info it really help me.
If you raise your seat up so your eyes are in the center horizontal line of the windshield, the screen will blend in more. Hope that helps.
ya it seems to stick out too much and blocks your view and its blocky, too much bezel, and too far away imo, finger magnet too
@@brianruperti good tips, i kinda like seating low when i drive tho so its not a plane lol
Everything was really well explained
Thank you so glad to hear
And good thing is I just got my toyota corolla LE today..

RESPECT to you bro 😎…Thank You!
Thanks 😎
Helped a lot thank you man.
Glad it helped!
You are the best
Thank you!
What I like, base Corolla has full speed adaptive cruise control unlike base Camry. Have to get AWD, hybrid, or X trim for full speed. Doesn't have electronic parking brake in base
Thank you so much!! I’m planning on purchasing one soon ☺️
You’re welcome! And that’s exciting!!
Thank you so much, this was very helpful!!!
You’re welcome!
some pet peeves: no small compartment to put your loose coins/small items! usually older cars have them, also no cig light for your adapters, no really good space to put a vent mounted phone holder as well ( no room on the dashboard, anyone got ideas?) , no wireless auto android yet, maybe via future head unit software upgrade enables it?
thanks for the info. now i have more knowledge of the functions. can't wait to get my 2022 corolla. I've pre ordered mine because of the shipping situation in hawaii. in lieu, I'll be selling my 2016 corolla s once my car. comes in.

Fantastic job!!!!
Thanks!
Great video but there's this little slot. Looks like it's meant for a chip right next to the shifter on the right, can you tell me what this is? Please and thank you
Yes that is for technicians to easily gain access to the shifter to service it.

Does the 2022 SE show tire pressure anywhere on the dash? Or give you a warning when a tire is low? I can only find my tire pressure within the app
It will simply give you a warning when one of the tires is low
Consider me helped. Thank you. Will watch many more!
Glad it helped!
This video has been the MOST helpful for me!!!! I GOT MY 2022 TOYOTA COROLLA LE!!!! 😃
Now, can you explain to me how I should use the different lights (ex: high beams, low beams, automatic, etc?)
Also, are their fog lights in this car, if not, what lights should I use in foggy weather?
Lastly, I got my car in BLACK SAND PEARL 🙂 Any suggestions on what to use/buy to clean the car at home? Thanks!
Hey congrats!!!! So glad it helped.
If you set it in auto it will do all of those for you. Nice right? If not, use DRL during day, and full headlights at night.
You likely do not have fog lights on your car, so use the LOW BEAMS during fog. Not the high beams as they cause a lot of light bounce back.
Black sand Pearl is a really nice color! I suggest checking out my video on washing your vehicle:
ua-cam.com/video/ZBjImUoYTfg/v-deo.html
It’s very in depth and I don’t ALWAYS do it this way. But generally the “two bucket” method is your best bet. After you watch this, if it’s too much, just search “two bucket wash” and see whose routine fits your needs best!
Enjoy the new car!!!
@@brianruperti hey!!! THANKS A LOT!!! I love the car. It’s my FIRST ever car. It suits me well; we’re a perfect fit! I am still learning about all those buttons and controls...lol!!! But like I said before, your video has helped me out tremendously. I will watch your video on how to wash the car. I’ve heard that black cars require much more TLC when washing them so I want to keep her as impeccably clean as possible on my own. Ofc, I get free car washes at my Toyota place too, but I want to learn how to manage the car independently as well.
THANKS!!!
♥️
Guys I’m thinking of getting one this week same model ‘22 Corolla LE very exciting but can any one let me know what are those 4k packages that Toyota offers while purchasing the vehicle? Is that warranty? Would you recommend getting it or not

Reading the manual so we don’t have to. Thanks brah

Thanks for thsi video bro
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
I just bought one and waiting for it to arrive soon! 🙌🏻
Just want to know if has a reverse camera? I see videos that shows it and others like this that don’t. Does the car has it or not? Thanks in advance!
Congrats! Yes it has reverse camera
Great job, thanks for the info
Thank you!
You’re welcome. Pedestrian warning sound?
Just got mine used from a third party dealership and I’m nervous about two things:
Pls help
Congrats!!
1.) you may have the wrong fob
2.) the warning light for passenger side airbag should only be lit up if there is no passenger on the seat
I think the few bucks extra to have the Toyota service center do the job is worth it for two reasons:
1.) the car is getting handled by people who handle only Toyotas all day, and they can notice things others cannot.
Nice! Good move and taking top care of your baby!
Question: I just traded my 2020 Carolla for a 2022.
No sport button! Can the "Sport" feature be simulated?
Thank you!
Is your 2022 an LE?
@@brianruperti SE, I spent WAY to much time at the dealer...
@@lesrw1 oh ok so since it’s the SE it doesn’t need the sport button because it drives sportier and the entire car is the sport mode 😎
