The best Corolla LE review I’ve seen yet! Great job!
I certainly agree with everyone who praises this video! It's been a god-send to me. I was looking all over for a video that would not just TALK about the various smart-car things it could do but would actually show me up close how they worked and how to work them! So yes, thanks a lot for making this video. It's a one-of-a-kind!
Hey Brian how do you turn eco mode off?
I work at Toyota and pretty much know the cars by heart now. But I still keep coming back to your button tutorials! There‘s something about your calm voice and simple explanations. 😇
Thank you! This made my day :-)
you'll need every resource you can get to rip people off even more. contribute to society dont become a parasite.
Do the Corolla's have Engine Auto-Stop at stop-lights? I dont see it in this video maybe you can help me out here.
@slowcivic2k they do not
I am watching it many times
Hi just bought a Corolla LE and here I am 😊
Welcome aboard!
you must be a teacher by profession, new corolla owner here, excellent tutorial! thank you
Wow, thanks! I appreciate it. Congrats on your new car.
This video was amazing and easy to understand. You got straight to the point. I just bought my first Toyota today and this helped me a lot.
Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial. I had no choice but to buy a new car and was really impressed with the space and technology in the Corolla, as my wife had a 2020 that is really nice. Having said that, I spent time trying to learn the features and functions using the manual and couldn’t find items like how to show the compass. Your simple straightforward explanation was easy to follow, more detailed than the manual, and far less complicated! You answered all my questions and can finally help my wife with some settings on her Corolla she didn’t understand.
Hey so glad I helped you! Congrats on the new car 🙏🏼
Thank you for this tutorial. I had to buy a new car and am really glad I chose the Toyota Corolla SE 2023. It's been 26 years since I bought a new car but I was like the person above, trying to familiarize myself with all the new and (to me) confusing features by reading the manual. I was more confused than ever--and frustrated. Then I found your great tutorial. I've followed it twice, and so appreciate how clear and precise your explanations are. Thank you so much for helping me to start enjoying my car instead of fighting it. Jflores 10/8/23
I just bought a Corolla and I’m so grateful for your tutorial! Thank you Brian! 🙌🏼🤩
Happy to help! This comment made my day!
Outstanding, clears up everything. The manual is pure hell!!!!
This is a big help. The car is too darn complicated. Many of us older people do not need most of the gadgets. I had a 2010 and was very happy with it. I could play CDs in my 2010. This is ridiculous.
Wait till you see the next generation of cars
seeing as though i have a '23 Corolla in transit as we speak, this is the perfect in depth tutorial I'll need. thanks!!!
Glad to help!
thank you SOOOO much. I've been (barely) driving a 2000 Honda Civic (I'm mainly a bicyclist) and now own a fancy LE...this video has been incredibly helpful (perhaps life saving!) I'm sure I'll watch it again and again. Now I'll check out your other videos. What a great service!
Thank you for watching!
Best tutorial video I've ever seen. If you don't do this for a living, you certainly could. Thank you for your direct simple information on nearly everything.
Thank you very much for your support!
Awesome training seminar Brian. Factual. Logical. Accurate. Clear. ✅
I appreciate that!
Just bought a Toyota Cross LE. My other car was 19 years old. This is a great video to explain the entire inside of the car. I have watched this video a few times and am getting familiar with my Cross. Thank you for explaining everything.
Glad it helped!
Even though I’m already familiar with this stuff because I’m a Toyota guy it’s good to see people like you explaining every detail on how the features works. I really like to have one of this but LE Hybrid AWD but with convenience package 2 and colored on wind chill pearl with black fabric interior. Good job man explaining! 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! You have great taste 👌🏼
just bought a new Toyota corolla LE, and this really helped me know how smart my car is! Thank you! Great tutoring!
Great to hear! Congrats on the new car
that was fantastic, ALL my questions answered so well, thank you very much
Glad it helped!
Thank you for this. Yesterday was a month since I bought my 23 Corolla Cross. This is my first Toyota, so this guide was very helpful. I'm absolutely loving this vehicle!
Glad to have you in the Toyota family 😎
Thank you. Well done. I just bought a 2023 Corolla LE hybrid and your video was awesome.
Thank you!
Great Great Great Brian!
As I'm a corolla guy, this video is crystallising the simplicity, durability, quality and reliability, that made a lot of people all-over the world to trust/buy this brand (Toyota).
This tutorial was really helpful, useful and informative 👍
Excellent Brian, love to watch all your videos.
Waiting more from you, and sending my love from Egypt 🇪🇬

Thank you! You're the best!

Your video is super helpful, thank you so much for posting. I am a new 2024 Corolla owner. I keep coming back here for a refresher. And now I understand how the Auto-Bright on the headlights work.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, I am a new Corolla owner and your video is better than reading the manual. Thank you
Glad it helped!
I just got a new 2024 Corolla SE with a few upgrades. My first new car in almost 10 years, and my very first Toyota ever. This video is just what I needed. Clear, detailed, informative. I have never experienced these advanced safety systems before, and the MID was confusing at best. The relatively small screen size doesn't help, but your explanation(s) have cleared things up for my next drive. I'm planning to watch the latest infotainment video next. Thanks for making this video. Only one I've found anywhere thus far.
Hey congrats on the new car! What color did you choose? And I’m so glad to be able to help you.
@@brianruperti I got white, same as my previous car. I really like this color, but family and friends have trouble telling that it’s a different car 😀
Thanks for the tutorial!
You bet!
What a helpful video. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks very much for the info. It really help.
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic video. Thank-you very much.
Glad you liked it!
Fantastic!! TY!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. We traded in a 2014 car for a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross, and we're totally baffled by how far electronics had come. It's very hard to learn these things by reading the manual. Now we can change the things that we need to change. Thanks again. This is great!
Glad it helped!
Very good review. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
thanks. that was very helpful
Glad it helped
Awesome video!!!! Thanks!!!
Thank you!!!
Thanks just got one and was about to be annoyed but this helps a lot!

Thanks for the tutorial
My pleasure!
Just bought a 2024 LE Hybrid. Thanks so much for this. My boyfriend says to read the manual, but your video is better.
Glad it helped!
Awesome content!
Appreciate it!
Thanks for this sir 🙏🏻
Most welcome
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
I just bought a 2023 Toyota Corolla hatchback and this is the kind of information I wish I had received at the dealership since this was the first car I've purchased in this century. I especially wish the volume knob on the screen would just let me turn the screen off since I prefer direct access controls to menu diving. I'm impressed with the car in this first week of ownership but I'm just not as screen-centric as a lot of drivers. Thanks for your help, I'm subscribing.
Hey thanks! Welcome to the channel and enjoy your new car 😎
Great Video. Thank you!
Thanks!
@@brianruperti does LE or SE modal get heated seats?
Se optioned in but most dealers can heat any seats for a charge
Thorough how to video. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
it is really helpful!
I'm glad!
love this!! and love my new car :)
Thanks!
Excellent tutorial. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome lecture thanks
Most welcome thank you
Very nice thank you❤
Welcome 😊
Thank You!
You're welcome!
Thank you. I have a rental and I didn’t know how to get the key out of the ignition. 😊
Glad I could help!
You gave me way more info than the salesman! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you ❤
You’re welcome
What a great job he is doing. There are many great videos on UA-cam and a lot of not so great ones where the speaker knows what he or she is doing but seems to expect others to already know a lot of things. But this guy knows his stuff and can present it. Does anyone know if you can mess with these setting without starting the engine? Thanks
Thank you! 🙏🏼 you can change certain setting without starting the engine. Press the push start button 2x (or turn key forward 2 clicks without cranking engine on) without pressing the brake and 75% of the options can be customized. Some of them must have the ignition on and engine running however. Good that helps.
This tutorial is perfect for me. I bought a 2002 Chrysler in 2008 and have been driving it for over 15 years, so almost everything in the tutorial is unfamiliar to me and I've never driven a newer car than 2002. My car doesn't have a video screen or driver assist anything. We are considering a new Corolla so it's essential that I learn to operate all of the at least 100 things I saw in the video that I've never seen before.
Glad it helped!
helpful thanks
Glad it helped
This was a great great help for me. thank you very very much for making this video. The manual is difficult to understand.
You are welcome!
One of the main problems I've been having with my new Corolla is the fact that every resource I've seen (except THIS great video) has a different configuration of buttons and gadgets. Neither my owner's manual NOR the special blurb they gave me at the dealership that discusses the TOYOTA SAFETY SENSE 3.0 show the same configuration of widgets and indications. It's almost like they move them all around randomly to confuse the driver with every new car they manufacture!
❤ because of you... I bought a Toyota 😊
I am so honored! This made my night! Congrats!! :-)
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thanks❤
You're welcome 😊
I have had my 2023 Corolla for 6 months, and recently had the low tire pressure light come on. I said to my wife, with all this electronics, why cant they tell me which tire ?? Then I watched this video and felt silly not even trying to find that option in the manual. This video really helped me learn so much more about the buttons than just reading the manual. Thanks.
Hey glad to help thanks for watching
Big help for my corolla 2024❤
So happy to help : )
Hi Brian. Thanks for the great video. I just got my car a week ago and will be watching this vid a few times to learn it all. Question: when listening to music i prefer to have the sound come mostly from the rear speakers. Is there a way to choose which speakers i can use? Thanks so much for your help
Hello, congrats and thanks for watching. Yes you can adjust that by going to settings, scroll down to general, sound & media
Thanks. I had found that setting but thought it was grayed out. I will check again. I drove my 2000 Solara for 20 years ❤️ and all the new electronics is mind boggling LOL. You and your video is so appreciated
@ech8162 glad to help!
Hi, it’s a great tutorial! Thank you very much for this. My 2023 corolla SE always auto break before a red traffic light, I was wondering how to turn it off? (I have already turned the PDA off)
Thank you! What systems are you running when you’re driving normally?
Just bought a Corolla and this is so helpful. Thanks! I got a quick question though: my car starts with the Eco mode on by default, how would you change it back to normal on the dashboard?
Glad to help! What are you seeing on the dash?
As someone who's been using a pre-2k car, thank you for getting me up to speed on current car technology! I do have a question: Where do I charge my phone? I see that there's no longer a smoke plug-in, and can I charge both android and iphone devices?
Thanks for watching! Just take the USB plug your phone came with and plug that right into the car. You can also buy spare cords online. Get the ones with good reviews, not the cheap gas station ones.
Thank you for your video! Just picked up my 2023 corolla le in Canada two days ago. I was wondering if you know why my corolla doesnt have the individual tire pressures feature on my MID? There's only vehicle information with no second page to go down to.
Thanks for watching and congrats. Most corollas don’t have this option, as far as I know. But it could be a diff spec since you’re buying Canadian market Toyotas.
Thanks for the tutorial! question: as long as the key fob is within range pulling the front door handles will unlock it automatically but what about locking it? Is the only way to auto lock it by pushing the lock on the key fob?
Thanks for watching. When equipped with the smart key system, you lock the car by placing your finger on the end of the handle that has the little groove.
Just wondered is there a button to press that will disable the internal motion sensor, the reason I ask is occasionally my alarm randomly goes off.
Hii!! Just got my corolla yesterday :-) thank u sm for this tutorial. Question; the corolla doesn’t have BSM?! I was lane changing and realized :(
Hey! Congrats! Some do but you have to spend extra money for it. Some dealers install aftermarket if you MUST have it. Enjoy the car!
I've been fairly spooked by the network news channels talking about smart cars braking for no apparent reason. In the case of my new 2023 Corolla Hybrid, I think I've experienced this at least once when my car seemed to brake for no reason. For now I live in a rural area, but I plan to travel to Dallas-Ft.Worth in the spring and I can just picture hurtling down I-35E in Dallas at 70 mph in heavy traffic and having the car erroneously think that it's now time to brake to a full stop because the driver is "incapacitated". I don't recall you discussing that feature on the LE but I may have missed it, since there was a lot of content to absorb. Do you know if they've fixed this yet or not? Apparently it's been a problem with several brands of smart cars in recent times. So I was looking around for any way that I could disable the Emergency Driving Stop System. I think now I can test my car's behavior by turning off the Lane Tracing Assist which you say is the bottom of the two buttons directly to the left of the Cruise Control circle, and/or turn off the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (which I find annoying anyway--I usually just go around the cars in front of me on my own rather than pace them). One question I have, though, is I was driving the car today and I got an indication in the upper part of the MID that I'd never seen before. It looked like a pair of lines representing the lanes I was in and had what looked like an X through the lower half of the indicator. The whole indication was white. I got a little excited because it looked like it was telling me that the lane tracing had been successfully turned off. But when I drove the car later in the day, I was unable to reproduce the indication. Does anyone know anything about this problem or its resolution? With Safety Sense 3.0, which I have, perhaps they have corrected this problem? Does anyone know?
Mine is 2023 Corolla SE upgrade Canadian version but i dont have tire pressure monitoring system. When i talked to dealer they said this version doesnt have that.
I bought my Toyota Corolla Le Hybrid 2023 . First Time Buying A Toyota I Love My Corolla Le Hybrid
Welcome to the family!
Does all Toyota Le base trim, have remote start using Android Auto? I live in Canada and was wandering if we have the same remote start feature on the Android Auto system.
Android auto yes, remote start no
Quick question: do you know if the cross come with rubber mat, or I have to my own?
Most do, but some won’t. The manufacture mixes it up.
I ordered the high-end Premium version with 2.0 (196hp) engine. My third red Toyota in a row (since 1994). If you take a lower end version with options the price won't be much different. A GR would have been nice too but it's only available in bi-tones such as red + black which I don't really like. Only one thing is missing and that is the anti-speeding ticket option.
Very nice. Id love a GR
@@brianruperti I expect the Premium to be some sort of "Q-car", more discreet than the GR.
When in reverse, are there no yellow lines on the screen for predicting where the vehicle will move?
I just got a new Corolla cross hybrid, when using Sirius is there and way on the steering wheel to switch stations to go to the next station in order, like start at 1 then 2 then 3 and so on because it only switches to the next favorite station with the buttons on the right and there are a limited amount of those
Great question. It’s designed to switch between favorite settings. To scan, you’ll have to use the infotainment screen.
How was the AC, Brian? You think it's good enough to handle SW heat during July and August? I live in Arizona so we'll get firey temps.
Yes it’s very cold and get some LLumar AIR80 on your windows too.
@@brianruperti llumar air80? I was thinking of 3M crystalline tint.
It’s so cold it will drive you out of the car.
Great video! I have a question, how do I get the tank average to show instead of the trip average? I've been trying for a long time and couldn't find it!
If it has it, it would be on the leaf menu, to change what’s displayed, go to settings and select drive info or pop up display and adjust what shows.
@@brianruperti found it, thank you!!!
You’re welcome 😎
I just bought a 2023 se but they got all the same buttons besides the se have sport normal and eco button, but I just wanted to learn why I couldn’t use my cruise control, thank you
Thanks for watching! Congrats
Does this information for the Corolla Cross as well? What difference are there for the other Corolla trim levels, hybrid, and AWD versions?

To clarify are the buttons that you reviewed on the Corolla LE the same for the Cross. If not completely then what are different. What buttons are different from the LE for the other trim levels, hybrid, and AWD.
Brian is there a way to turn off the annoying chime when you first fire up the car? Jeff E
Not sure sorry
Good Morning
Do we need to press brakes to turn on and turn off the hybrid Toyota Corola
Yes for on but plz scroll to chapter about ignition and startup
can you adjust the time longer on remote start from 10 minutes. I live in cold area and windshield doesnt clear enough before car shuts off
I wish, but no, not to my knowledge. What may help is turn the heat down to 72-76F and fan speed medium, not high. This has been proven to aid in the engine heating faster. Winter grill blockers help too.
When you start it ..what is the warning that says rear with 3 people in red seats which seems to stay illuminated for a minute or so?
It’s checking the seats to see if there are passengers and if they are buckled or not
Does the Toyota Corolla GR sport 22 version have a heated steering wheel ?
I don’t think so but I don’t have access to 2022 brochures for this car sorry
I need a tutorial for the XSE hatchback model. A lot is the same but the cluster is dramatically different. By the way thanks for the tip on how to get back to the Toyota interface on the infotainment center.
Try this and let me know if this video helps! ua-cam.com/video/IaH5ttFrSEk/v-deo.html
I have question on my 2023 Toyota Corolla LE it says the oil it takes is “SAE 0W-8 “ but I’m having a hard time trying to find it what oil would u Recommend to get it has other options like “0W-16” & “0W-20”
Hey I recommend reading the booklet because the book will
Mention other options. But try to find whatever oil the engine originally calls for. You can buy it from the dealer or most automotive shops can get anything you want.
@@brianruperti okay I’ll look at the booklet because when look under the hood it said “SAE 0W-8” Thanks Again!
@ashtonlundy3746 you’re welcome!
Also, always use full synthetic oil. Your engine will thank you for it.
Thank you so much... Extensive and concise ... But i have a problem my screen connects to the android phone but only displays songs
Your welcome. You can tap the icon on the bottom left of the screen to create a home menu
I do have a question, something that you didn't cover that I've been puzzled by ever since I got my new Toyota. What is that slot that looks like a big USB port to the right of the shifter? As you were going through this (and man I had a lot to learn and truly apricate it very much) but it popped in my head after..........TIA
That’s a little key hole for the technicians to pop the plastic and service the shifter
It covers a release lever to put the transmission out of PARK in an emergency, like when the keys are lost or the battery is dead and the car MUST be moved. RTFM.
