Been a privilege to be a part of the Magnificent 51. Thanks to Bill Sanders and the partnership of a small group of true watch geeks, we have a unique watch story to share with other like minded folks around the world. Thank you Bruce and Robert for introducing our baby to the masses. Bill Sanders, I’m grateful and thank you for the inspiration to take us down this wonderful path. You ROCK!
As one of the 51 and relatively late to the group, I wish I could remember who informed me about the project. This is not a watch I would have bought normally, but the collaboration idea was such that I signed up. I'm more optimistic than Bruce that a second project will actually happen with the same group at its core. Unfortunately we did not pass the first round at GPHG.
Thank you Bruce and Robert for this brillant explaination of the genesis of an outstanding project ! You're perfectly right to mention the great work made by Bill Sanders who managed to make this dream come true.
This is such a great idea and exciting to see come to fruition. I saw this watch about 4 months ago when I went back to see Bill Sanders channel and was stunned by the great looks of this watch. To be honest I was a little pissed at myself for not following Bill more thouroughly over the last year or so and wasn't able to get in with this group. Yes, I'm jealous! Having a chance to add a watch of this caliber to a collection would have been a once in a lifetime opportunity. Next life I guess?
Thanks for sharing our story. It was an interesting journey to be a part of this unique project. It's truly amazing to see the final result of all those meetings.
That's a beautiful watch! Congratulations on such an accomplishment and effort is creating something so elegant, simple yet beautiful without distractions!
Bruce, can you do a video on how to become a watchmaker? I think more educational video could be a great playlist/series. Also, recommend getting something to soak up the echo in your room. Carpet, baffling, something. It would greatly improve your sound quality.
For sure. I've got carpet and sound panels. For some reason the audio file from the mic was corrupt so I had to clean up the audio from the closest camera as best as I could. I was not reshooting a 20 minute video ha!

Congratulations 🙏 I wanted to be a part of the group but didn't have the money 😢
Hopefully you’ll join the group on the future projects. Cheers!

That is a shame! It was likely too good for the under 10 category.
That watch looks magnificent! Congratulations on your achievement!
Thank you. The story behind the watch is what makes it unique. Cheers.

Thanks Robert and Bruce, this project was the best horological experience I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

The project would not have happened without Bill Sanders.
Mmmm KFC 🤤
I love your channel Bruce. You cover some sweet watches and you include a huge variety also.
Thank you! I try to share a little bit of everything
going through design process with 50 individuals is a great achievement for the designer.
Nice vid, Bruce, thank you. Think the watch is awesome, especially like the pics of movement, regulator, and seconds gear. Good stuff👍.

Very interesting watch and story thank you for covering it 🙂
Hi. Bruce,
The movement is very beautiful. Your video is really good👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
Right...pretty cool project & a rather nice looking watch. Beautiful movement, too.
Thank you Gents.
Great project, some aesthetic imbalances, but great components. I don't see why this approach can't happen again, covid or not.

Having heard about this bespoke beauty for months, I'm excited to see it in the metal soon! And being GPHG nominated is EPIC!!
Wanted to be apart of this project but didn't have the money 😢 Congratulations to Bill & the group 🙏
This is amazing and really love everything about what they have put together. Robert is such a gentleman!
He is a really good guy
I love Bill aka Dad!
Who is your daddy, and what does he do.

This has my attention 1000%, who can I contact for more information. Would be interested in jointing group or another group that may be forming.
An awesome achievement and watch. Born out of the love for mechanical timepieces. I would love to own this. 🥂
The movement looks great, the dial ok and hour hand choice was not for me
i think they managed to achieve this because good amount of money was involved and when productions were slumped.
So what?
Super-elitist stuff. I assume that zero African-Americans were able to purchase this watch.
Nice watch but too steep at almost $9700 would be nice to see a peasant model with a seagull hand wound movement for less than $200 just saying.
