VIC High Country Howitt Hut To Macalister River

- The first half of Day 2 of our Jan 2023 VIC High Country Trip. We start the morning from our camp the night before at Howitt Hut and head south on Howitt Plains Rd to start the Caledonia River Track.
At the end of the Caledonia River Track we head west to the Macalister River Track and find an amazing lunch stop on right on the river.

Yeah definitely more external footage would be great and camping , talking in the car while driving with a camera on you maybe a drone and you could have some awesome videos!

What a beautiful valley on the Caledonia river track. It would have to be my favourite track so far. The creeks, cliffs and vegetation was absolutely stunning. Thanks Jase great work. Cheers, BobbyB.

Thx john, not a lot of tracks in that area, a few though. I've driven Eskdale Spur a number of years ago but that was before I started the channel. Closest on the Channel would be Mt Big Ben. Recently also posted a video camping at Mongan's Bridge Caravan Park but no trip in that one just the park and testing out my camper trailer.

You missed the Cascade at the bottom of Butcher Country track.

Hey mate, great video thank you for sharing. Btw what map were you using on the PC?
I use Memory Map on the PC with the HEMA maps. Very helpful for planning trips on the big screen from home. App is free but you need to pay for the map packs.

Planning trips, I use the Memory Map app with Hema and other maps to plan on my computer at home. On the tracks I use the HEMA HX2 which I have a bit of a love hate relationship with
