Not necessarily. There’s a few scenarios where you’d be ok. For example, you over exert yourself and go into cardiac arrest and die. When you come back to life, your heart will restart and the cardiac arrest will be over. It can be an event and not be an illness. Therefore you could end up being fine afterward
Or let’s say you drowned or suffocated. Thats an event. As long as when you come back to life you’re out of the water/have air again, you will most likely be totally fine

For the "you can be the main hero in any video game you chooose but you can never leave that game", I would easily hit the button and choose "Sky: Children of the light" Even though in technicality there isn't really a "hero" as it's an MMO and pretty much everyone has the same ending goal of the story but you can still potentially be *considered* a hero due to the nature of the game either way. -and without spoiling anything, you are trying to save/free people's lives in certain parts of the game. It's the most beautiful game I could live in honestly.

For all the ones about entering video game worlds, the whole point of playing video games (at least for me and I’m sure many others) is to escape from your reality. It’s a way to get away from the stress and struggle of daily life. If you were to live in that virtual world, that would become the reality you eventually wish to escape. The question then would be could you play video games within that world? Which depending on the game the answer is likely no.

"will you press the button" is like the peak of not fully thinking things through. The very first question, there is no downside. If you press it and happen to get an injury so severe that you lose all 9 lives, you've lost no more than you would have if you didn't press.
Similarly, in the next one, you would still get a crazy superpower with a small drawback as opposed to getting nothing. You can always choose not to use it if you think you'll get caught.
So many of these the downside is just 'you can't use the upside sometimes' which means you still have some times where you CAN use the upside, which is only a benefit. If the upside is something stupid like "you can make a blade of grass turn" that's still something you couldn't do before, so being able to do it sometimes is just better than never being able to.
I don't know why this gets me so heated, I guess because I want difficult conundrums and this same kind of obvious decision keeps popping up.

The difference between having an inner monologue and not having an inner monologue is literally just that you say things mentally. You think exactly the same, you just don't verbalize it. Rant start-
Soooo, I have got to back Mark on this, Vegeta is definitely a better character than Goku. Compare the two...
Goku - crappy dad, just wants to fight strong people, puts the world/universe at risk constantly, is the reason for the destruction of other universes (granted he did stop that from being a thing), when is the last time he saw Chichi?, and is just clueless.
Vegeta- strict dad... but cares, wants to be strong but has discovered it's to protect his family, puts his life at risk to try to help clean up Goku's mess constantly, is overshadowed by Goku for no reason, actively spends time with his kids and Bulma, is actually somewhat intelligent (and is confident in himself enough to be with someone who is significantly smarter than him).
Sure, I'll admit Vegeta started off kind of crappy with his desire to become immortal but the reason was to be strong enough to beat Frieza after the genocide of his entire race, so I get it. Then it was just jealousy and embarrassment that someone who was supposed to just be a grunt ended up being stronger... but that was learned behavior he grew up being taught that he had to be the strongest to lead his people. So there Vegeta got real character growth and not just random power ups that at this point feel shoehorned in, like what next big power up is Goku going to get that eventually Vegeta will end up learning eventually and not just as plot armor in a fight but through hard work and dedication so he can continue to be able to be on par with Goku to stay relevant, we all saw what happens to those that get to weak, they end up forgotten as background characters (looking at you Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillen, and Master Roshi)
