Almost Sky Captain good
I grew up with a love for old-time radio shows, which were tough to come by in those days before the internet and UA-cam specifically. I love not just what you've been able to do here but also how many people have been enjoying this story in this format. Even if not directly inspired by some of the old radio theater classics, their DNA is in evidence having been suffused throughout your production. At the top of the list, I see shades of "X Minus One" most noticeably influencing your work, whether directly or through influencing another show that then influenced you. Also, "Lights Out Everybody" and various programs Orson Wells programs from "Lux Radio Theater" to "The Shadow" can be seen shining through. If when you finish the overview you did a first person adventure serial starring a specialist soldier and his trust and stalwart robot partner as they investigate some war related mystery, that'd be awesome and I would totally volunteer to do voice work or whatever you needed. Well done, I can't wait for more!
We are unworthy of your content! It's too good for us mere mortals!
I am not a fn of AI created material...But this stuff is damned fun to watch, nice work . If all AI creators this sort of work out I'd be a happier man.
Not many movies with high budgets and production values have managed to get close to the immersiveness and realism of these videos. Outstanding work!
Good argument against meritocracy.
I once read a scribble in certain military barracs toilet stall saying "people draw here without a hope for reward or recognition; should it thus be considered True Art?".
We shouldn't hire the people who have done the most repetitions(most calcified), but the people who are the most passionate, creative, dedicated and in-love-with-their-art. People who do better shit alone for free. If I had bazillion coins I'd become patron for such artists and together we'd fucking slay the industry.
@@poetsrear Interesting points. I guess the problem is that we don't exactly know which path can lead to success before it happens. Sometimes the key is in old forms and traditions; other times, it’s something completely new, entirely unexplored or even protest. This video is kind of a mix of both worlds, in a way...
I had a book about the Battle of Jutland that had this look in the illustrations.
@@poetsrear Are you mentally ill? Just asking.
@@poetsrear that is not an argument against meritocracy at all. You’re literally arguing for meritocracy and you don’t realise it. Meritocracy is hiring people the most qualified to do it, which is literally what you’re advocating for you just have no idea what you’re talking about to realise it. It’s literally in the word, hiring based on MERIT.
As someone who has read deeply the history of Antarctic exploration, I give this three frost-bitten thumbs up.
You can borrow 1 of mine; that makes it 4 you're putting up
So long as its not your frost bitten 'todger' a.k.a. Prince Harry
And one frost bitten 'todger' care of Prince Harry
Seen actual footage of the white fleet getting ripped up and countering the HEll out of there.
@@Davidsavage8008 Are you talking about the fleet we sent after WWII?
Being a child of the 60's the black and white film adds a realism that's chilling!
Yeah, there's lots of color film from WW2, but we usually didn't get to see it on TV even after TV went color.
@@patricialee76 Yes, they were so rare that there was a show called 'WWII in Color" which was on TV.
I watch a lot of films of ww2.. was born in 81 but agree. It does give it a sense of realistic historical experience, lol
One of the best content on UA-cam.
This could easily be made into a feature film.
Let's hope you get the recognition you deserve for these excellent uploads.
As a history minor, I’m glad people are shedding more light on the events of 1930s Antarctica. It’s a shame nobody really remembers what happened down there, but sometimes that’s for the best
Pepperidge Farms remembers...
I was a part of this terrifying battle as a young infantryman . In the heat of the battle I drank Ice Water to remain cool. We fought long and hard until we were extracted. Because of injuries I was placed in snap freeze and left in a hidden bunker where i was forgotten for a number of decades. When found i was reactivated and injures healed but they forgot to erase my memories and so i remember these horrors and testify that these advents are factual. Only not stated here was how the Automatons like to play with us their pray before killing us. A terrifying experience indeed. Thank you to those who made this documentary who many think is just made up and don't believe their eyes. Complacency is deadly
Buddy you through 😂😂
@@XxSniperProx😂 Yeah mane bul tweakin
Thank you for your service
We will never forget the crimes of the automatons
@@lauriewise6271 question for you, since you were there and all: how was it that your technology was advanced enough to construct hundred-foot-high autonomous combat automatons, yet you still didn't have color film?
I'm really hoping humanity can pull through this and realize that their automatons are being taken over and need to change tactics.
It's been a long time I've seen something this gripping.
Keep up the good work.
I can see this kind of thing happening. Maybe not thousands of soldiers sent to the "front lines" but a little bit more like the general population waking up to a "BIg voice" telling you to turn in your guns for your own safety and security. As you look out of your windows Mechanical soldiers are going door to door to ensure that you comply. Like the Red Flag laws that police and ATF are using to disarm you now but just slightly more extreme. Win or lose, I think mankind will survive but just barely. Those who may not have the necessary skills to fight but have knowledge that the "automatons" need to help them survive.
These are super-cool! It's kind of like a World War against a Lovecraftian Skynet, sort of. Not literally. This concept is uniquely it's own. A lot of us are really enjoying these. Kudos!!
The word Literally adds nothing to any sentence its used in
these movie docs are mental seems like real history love it
It is REAL.
@@simonf8902😂
They are real, its just erased history, many that survived the battles had mind wipes, films were classified ultra secret ,
If this was a prelude to a sci-fi movie, I'd be hooked.
The effort and vision that was put into this piece of art is staggering. The execution is brilliant. Whoever is behind this deserves some kind of award. Amazing dude.
Is this not ai, like someone put in a script and this came out, that’s how it feels.
Outstanding achievement, You have Singlehandedly invented a New Sci-fi Genre, your Talent is On Par with the Giants of Science Fiction, Your a rare Black Pearl in a sea of white Pearls 👏👏👏👏👏 Please if anyone in the Gaming/TV or movies, Snap this Tallant up, May your career 🖖
This is an amazing video but he didn't invent a new sci-fi genre. Alternative history sci-fi is a thing, you should check out some videogames like resistance fall of man and singularity.
This is not a new genre at all. Far from it.
@@Joe-jv5mm Man vs Machine is not in any way a "new sci-fi genre". In fact, it is one of the oldest tropes in sci-fi. This is just another rehashing of that trope. I'll give it points for being well conceived and executed, but there's no call to gush about this as if it's some kind of groundbreaking phenomenon. Particularly considering that it is AI generated.

The core quality trait of this series is good writing. Bravo!
Oh man you gotta be shittin me!! What a cliffhanger!! Damn fine job btw, keep it coming.
Traditional shittin flasks, robust and valuable metalwork.
Outstanding!👍🏾👍🏼👍🏽👍🏿👍
They say the devil is in the details. The brilliance of this series is in the details as well. I was reading through the creators responses to questions like why didn’t the soldiers wear arctic camo, or why the 1913 Automatons look like they were wearing a helmet. The fact that he had a logical reason for such tiny, unspoken points shows the utter brilliance of this. I cannot compliment the creator enough
Well... One question I would have is why are the troops not wearing proper cold weather gear.
Unlike the maker of this, I have BEEN to Antarctica, worked there for a total of four years, including two winters.
One thing I can tell you, is those troops? They are all dead. Even in summer their clothing is simply not enough to deal with the cold. In winter? Their lives would be measured in minutes.
And no, the heaters creating warm zones would not work. This is Antarctica, not for nothing is it known as the windiest place in the world. The average daily windspeed is 12 knots, 14 mph. Windspeeds can reach in excess of 200 knots sustained. Not gusts, sustained....
@ ummm, you do know we’re talking about a fictional story, right?
@@alganhar1 pff, we the argentinians have permanent bases here for more of 100 years, in fact the first person who born there was argentinian, maybe you are so weak.
These are so much fun, but beyond that they are well-written--that puts them above the UA-cam standard. Good work! I am a member.
God bless you for not sloppily saying “best thing ever!!!” And instead expressing accurately
Another masterpiece. The visuals you have created are what I feel an avid and imaginative reader of early to mid 1900s sci-fi reader would see in their mind with book in hand rather than the often gaudy romanticised versions from Hollywood that often barely pay lipservice to the authors skill. I look forward to the next showing of your flourishing skills.
I feel the same enthusiasm and excitement over your productions as I do over Kane Pixels. Different genres, but the same level of creativity and sense of unease
These are getting better and better, incredible talent! Can’t wait for the next part! 👊
I love this idea. Imagine someone in the future seeing this and believing it's facts.
How you managed to get Richard Burton to narrate this "documentary" is beyond me. But I'm glad you did as he is, was, one of my favorite actors.
Well done, my friend. This is highly creative, original material. Congratulations!
These are groundbreaking. Absolutely excellent. Please make more!! I love how these are narrated like a radio broadcast.
As per usual, another out of this world video!! Man, this guy needs recognition big time. Share his videos,,,,spread the word. This is absolutely my favorite subject/fantasy/videos. So good....thank you.
These videos are awesome, it actually reminds me of the " The Great Martian war" but its better and longer.
Its possible one day a videogame or movie/series will steal or adapt based on your idea, you really invented a new "IP", amazing!
Ngl, been really enjoying the lovecraftian vibes going on in this series, mixing that with an alternative history twist on the usual robot rebellion trope makes for something pretty original if you ask me!
This is awesome. Very entertaining. Nicely done!!
Words fail me . This is beyond brilliant . Some sort of awards for this must be impending .
This is such great story. I could see this as a primer for a Wargame.
Thank you for posting these wonderful Alt - History pieces. I appluad the quality you have been able to get.
I look forward to more
Amazing great work
Absolutely loving these docudramas the sheer amount of talent to produce something this good is incredible.
Hello , I am a bit of a war history buff and a big fan of sci-fi stuff. I don't know who or what or where ur experience lies, but ur blending of history's past and incredible imagination of the possible future!!! Ur actually using terminology from recent and current war cartoons and blending it with modified black and white stock film footage of WW1. OH MY GOD ! U are not human! A.I. WTH. U R imagination and ability to blend past & future is shockingly impressive. Well consider ur attempt at putting out 5star video about sci-fi a screaming success! Now I know how good u have become 😉👹
Thanks!
I hope as you said that you can make series like this as a full time enterprise, thoroughly enjoyed them all and many thanks!
Thankyou! i have plenty of videos planned and the next episode in production, really hoping I can take the leap to full time content creation by early next year :)
@@AstralInfernum-AIArts are you planning to eventually move away from AI generated images to more conventional CG or other forms of art?
Was this all AI generated? I am blown away. I love retrofuturism. An amazing story line and the visuals are simply stunning in black and white.
An absorbing series, really enjoying it. Made all the more sinister by its documentary style.
These are amazing! I could watch them for hours. They take me back to my youth when I would gobble up sci-fi book after book. Thank you for making these. ❤
Im so happy about the new release. Keep up the good work.
After watching I can't wait for part 4!
Thankyou! Plenty more to come :)

This is so sick! Almost cinema! - I was immersed all the way through this!
So well done!
You deserve your own production studio!
Amazing as a word is cheap-ing describing this series. Impressive, Most Impressive! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
50% of this terrific story is the narration by the Richard Burton clone. It's astounding how you've captured his vocal persona. Absolutely first class.
Improving all the time, keep it up
So good!!! I am thoroughly enjoying this alternate history.
wow wow wow wow glued to the screen ty for this whens the next episode ty a million times
It's amazing how preserved this film is. People forgot about these events since synthetic life became so common. I had a conversation with my teacher another day, wondering why those automatons chosen Antartica. I assume it was because they cooling system, but my teacher told me to stop thinking about it. Great video, Astral man! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If Asimov was alive to see this,he would be in the 7th Heaven! Nicely done, and in the style of Victory at Sea,with embellishments! Star Wars,Avatar, and knowledge of various WW1 trench warfare! Thank you 😇 😊!

Excellent video, love the Richard Burton voice too. 😃
This stuff is Great! Way better then any new movie! I love the whole setup, even the narration sounds kinda like Alfred Hitchcock. Fantastic work!! Please continue to keep this kind of content coming!!
This is great alternate reality storytelling ! This is way more interesting than any movies that have come out in decades! The grainy black and white footage makes it seem so real. Very well done 👏 ✔️ 👍 👌 🍻

Awesome stuff. Loved man - machine boobytrap the most. Horrific and nicely crafted graphically.
Looking fwd to watching this later.
excited to see where this channel goes with different timelines
Really cool ! So realistic
All the accolades in these comments are well deserved. So much better than most of what Hollywood is putting out.
This is some good quality stuff right here
I said this in another one of your videos!
I think if I'd seen this in the '70s or '80s, I might have believed that history was hidden from me all along!
Fantastic job! Wow!!!
This is the beginning of a serious distraction for me! Great work. Cheers from Texas

Most well done Sir. Please do keep up the good work!

THAT WAS FRICKING AWESOME!!
Excellent storyline and AI graphics ! Well done ! 😊
This is marvelous. My only tiny complaint is that it a massive assault on Antarctica would never be called "Operation Snowstorm" - it would be called something utterly mundane like "Operation Biscuits".
Incredible work once again! I don't wait for much, but I wait for your videos! They are masterfully crafted and a truly inspiring use of AI. Well done sir!
Good to see this channel getting bigger too. Way more views this time around by the looks of it 😊
Thank you so much 😀
this is probably the best made shrt movie i have seen so far! Nice nice nice
It's like Where Eagles Dare meets Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow. Fascinating and unique.
Once again, while avoiding sloppy exaggeration on the my layman’s part, very well done
Amazing! What an awesome IP! It would be insane is Larian or CDP RED worked with you to build on it and started making computer games based on this.
7:30 I’m amazed their was no suspicion of that being bait, you know, considering a crying voice is one of the most obvious forms of bait.
Anyone remember Danny trejos corpse saying “help me” in predators?
This series is getting so good!
This newsreelThis newsreel style video is so much fun and very well done. Thank you
Though it has huge Holes in Technological Projection,..it’s VERY unique in its Steampunk like Alternative Universe. WELL DONE
fantastic work, loving each one of these!
Some of the best content I've seen this year.
Great work.
Very reminiscent of war footage from the two world wars, but with an interesting twist! But it still lacks of a "past tense" of historic genre. I still appreciated it, though, and will check out the other "offerings" of your alternate history. A++ for imagination!!!
Great episode! I hope we get more info on the origin of the advanced automatons.
One of the best Editor / Directors in this genre.
I am so impressed. I've recently been getting into the deeper side of AI for production and I would love to hear how you make these. You have a true eye for cinematography and storytelling, and I'm so glad you have a way to bring your visions to light. You have nailed the feel of the movies from that era, and the voice you choose is great. I have enjoyed these so much! I would love a little 'behind the scenes' at some point - truly fascinating!
wonderful work! always great to watch your newest addition
That was great cinema! Looking forward to the next in this series.
You sir are Brilliant. And should get the highest award for making these videos!!!
So good. I'm in awe of what you are creating!
Looks awesome
This would make an absolutely awesome RTS game. Do it in black and white with the same kind of narrative voices for the units. Use an old film filter ( Optional ) during battles to add to the immersion and willing suspension of disbelief. :D
This is so cool. Watched all of your videos so far. Great fictional reimagining of the time period, and I can't wait to see how things progress. Would love to see a movie based on this concept! I thought about showing this to my niece (8 yo) and telling her "look what happened in the 30s!" 🤣 She'd think it was real most likely!
Funny thing is that this is likley our future framed in a romantic alternate history
Wow... This is like a live action done in so damn much better way than some animated movie from a few years back that sucked!
This is a masterpiece and such a work of pure dedication! The writing and narration... Outstanding and mind-blowing! Ralph Bashi would be proud!
