Heh! Thanks for that one, man! And thanks for an awesome video - Crystal Castles was one of those games that really captured my imagination when it first came out. I've played an actual one once, in a Chuck-E-Cheeses in Toledo, Ohio back in the day. And just look at the side art on that thing. Excellent find, guys!
The art work on that Crystal castles looks pretty good to me but then again I’m not up close. I recon you could touch that up Del. I touched up my berserk years ago and was really pleased with it. You should give it a try maybe practice on a pallet. Fantastic pickups and can’t wait for future vids 👍
I used to play Zoo Keeper like crazy. World record was nothing for me to beat. I averaged playing over an hour each game. Love the game. Would like to get one if I had the room.
@@delsarcade It's been something like 35 years since I played it on arcade. I know its was over 100 million and I averaged around 30 million a game. People I've said this to never believe me but that's OK. I'd loose most of my lives on the invisible ledges. I used to clear the 4 tiers for the extra lives with little issue, though I use a different method than you showed on the first two tiers in your game play. I actually got kicked out of a store that had one, the owner said I played too long on one quarter. The flashing lion levels can mess with your head after awhile though.
@@delsarcade Thanks for the offer. I built a MAME machine awhile ago, the video of the final is on UA-cam but I did it for my daughter more than me, it was more of the challenge to build it. Check out the video if you wish. And I have not played it much, the last time I turned it on the computer had an issue. I should start playing it again. But again thanks for the offer.
Both are great fucking games, man. I recently bought the Atari legacy cabinet from Arcade 1up. Crystal Castles is easily my favorite game on there. Also, Zoo Keeper is just awesome. Like Crystal Castles, it's a great game, but it also has great artwork.
Congrats on a great Crystal Castles and Zoo Keeper score! Way to finish this "crappy" 2020 on a positive note:). I also like the original art on the cabinets and that side art is definitely salvageable. Control panel, on the other hand, it's better to replace, as you (and your kids) gonna be touching this every time you play. If you don't do it now, you probably would replace it in couple of years anyways. Why not just enjoy a nice control panel now? If there are cracks, you could try gluing it, but why bother. The whole cabinet will look like almost new, if you replace it. I would still recommend to replace the rest of the rusty leg levelers holders with new ones. The less rust on the machine, the better. Wonder, if adding a small metal plate under that screw in part would help. Even some kind of metal washer that the screw in part could latch on (hope the thread is long enough). It would relieve some stress from the wood, as some load would be kept by the plate/washer. Also, maybe even rinse out the new legs threads with IPA, so there are no rust particles on the bolts when you screw them back in. Just a peace of mind that there are less places corroding ;). Happy New Year:).
Thanks. Yeah. I already replaced the other leg leveler nuts since they were loose, not shown but done after I shot this vid. ;-) The CP will probably get replaced. I just need to wait for milder weather for spray painting. Maybe in the Spring? In the meantime I will rebuild the trackball for sure. Thanks for adding your valuable input!
crystal castles let me give everyone advice on them check the art work now its not negative to have replacement artwork on this machine because eventually the art work does fade and start wiping itself off the cabinet what you do is rub your hands on the side of the cabinet if you feel like the art work is dead smooth and looks stenciled on you have original art work when you see it in the light you can see it trust me and there is a differrence
Wow, nice combo pickup! I've always loved Crystal Castles, great cabinet design and art.
Yeah, I've been waiting ages for one in the this shape. Finally pulled the trigger!

Yeah, got lucky with the double pickup!
Love the pick up series... Keep doing your thang!!
Thanks for watching!

It crossed my mind to the touch up work myself... We'll see... I need to research it more first.
@@delsarcade give it a go mate.
Your only going to fill in the cracks right ?
Your be fine

Great catch! You could ask Steve from TNT for your Zoo. Maybe he can help somehow.
What part of the video are you referring to?

Zoo Keeper is a rare game and there's not really that much around
It a hidden gem for sure!
Don't get galaxian that game is dumb don't waste your money on buying it it's not worth it
I already own the actual arcade game for years.
that game is not dumb. it's hard as hell so everybody that sucks at it says the game sucks.
