I recently made the same decision, for pretty much the same reason. I have a Lot of crafty supplies from pre-Stampin' Up! days that I'd really love to use too. So, I use both together now - SU and whatever else I want. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your crafty journey as well.

I dug out some of my pre-SU stuff and surprisingly some of my inks and pearl drops are still good.

Good for you. I made the same decision 2 years ago and never looked back. They are fortunate to have wonderful demonstrators and customers. I’m thankful for the introduction to stamping from demonstrators on UA-cam. My main reason was I felt they were too restrictive, lacked innovation, slow shipping and retired things too frequently. You’ll love all the crafty goodness out there and enjoy the freedom to indulge in new products. I wish you the best! ❤

Thank you for creating this video. I’ve been tossing it around in my mind if I wanted to join or not. After watching your video, I don’t think I want to join. I enjoy using different products from different companies as well. I certainly would not enjoy being limited to the products from SU exclusively. I do love their items, but I love my other items just as much. Blessing from IL and looking forward to more videos you create. 😊😊

Thanks for sharing your Why. You will be missed as a Demonstrator, but I am glad that you will still share your creations. 🍯🐝

Hi, I'm a newcomer to your channel and appreciate what I've seen so far. Good luck to your new venture in your crafting life. Personally I'm a card maker and would love to see your using materials from whatever company but not trying to push the latest this that or the other. Demonstrators using stash they have from mixed companies, but using over and over in different techniques are very few and far between.
in this way, you share your style, flare and imagination, rather than the latest set of items to be sold to keep your figures up for the month. Would encourage you to take a look at Natasha Foote's work, she's from New Zealand and her work brings back the joy and enthusiasm of crafting. Get the feeling you are that sort of crafter also. really am looking forward to your new adventures. regards from UK 🇬🇧

Same reason I left as well. Still use my SU products and I also still buy from them. I wanted to use whatever I wanted without having to worry about breaking rules on accident. Also, I joined for the unique ink containers and when they changed them- they weren’t so unique anymore. I love buying products from all over!

First time seeing your channel, firstly I wish you the best for your crafty future. I make cards and use a variety of products from various companies, I have been purchasing stampin up products that I want from a demonstrator for 1 year now ,and she knows I am never going to join SU . I just buy what I like. Look forward to your creations. Donna from Australia

I wasn’t going to comment (and I wish you many blessings on your new journey), but it’s okay to use other company products. There is not a limitation by SU on that. What is a no no is being an affiliate and making money from other competitors. Somehow everyone thinks they will be banned if they use other products and that is not true. But I wish you well!!!!😊

We can tell that this was a very difficult video for you to make. We can also tell that there was a lot that you were not saying. It's unfortunate that Stampin' Up has a policy which prohibits the independent demonstrators from using other products on their videos. It's also unfortunate that they don't permit their demonstrators to have other affiliate accounts. Most demonstrators make more money from affiliate relationship than they do from Stampin' Up. So Stampin' Up had better be careful with their restrictive policies. It's sad that large companies have no reluctance to keeping the small business owner down financially. It's selfish. It's awful. You have to sell your soul to be a demonstrator for that company. People need to stop signing on as demonstrators. I don't buy Stampin' Up products anymore because of their restrictive policies. I won't support this company and other crafters need to stop supporting it as well. There are far too many other craft companies coming out with great new launches every quarter. We don't need to buy from Stampin' Up.
