So glad you’ll be using retired products from Stampin Up. I have so many stamp sets and would like to see old sets used. Good luck in your future endeavors! Thanks for sharing.
I totally understand!. I too was a demonstrator for five years and stopped being a demonstrator because I had so much product and could not keep up with all the new stuff when I still hadn’t used what I bought. I love stampin up and mostly use their products but I like using older stamp sets. Now I just buy what interests me. I have so many stamp sets (been stamping since 1997) to keep me occupied lol. This will relax you now that you can create what you want with what you already have. Look forward to watching more of your creative videos when you are ready to make them. 😊
I totally understand. I was a demonstrator for a couple of years, and I think I had to buy more product than I sold. I was done. Could not afford the quarterly minimum. I like the product, but there is so much more out there. Blessings to you dear lady.
I understand completely! And I agree with you. I would be so happy to see you create with the retired stamps. Looking forward to seeing you again. God bless you!
We all need to do what is right for us, as individuals. I will continue to be a viewer of your videos. I use my retired stamps as well. Congratulations on making such a big decision, and being true to yourself. All the best for your crafting future. Take care and stay safe
Good for you! My sister is my demo and we often joke that I should start a UA-cam called RETIRED! Since so much of what I have is retired - so if you do retired stamp set videos - I’m going to be watching you even more. Use what you’ve got! And, most importantly, be TRUE TO YOU! Blessings!
Thanks for subscribing to my channel, and for your support, I really appreciate it. I am having using anything and everything. Glad you are enjoying my channel and thank you for your support xxxx
Thank you Maria for all your many years of wonderful crafting ideas that you have shared with us. I always looked forward to seeing what creative creations you shared. I am a Stampin Up demonstrator just for the discount and never get rid of old stamps and dies. I’m more interested in creating and using everything that I have. I’ll continue watching your channel and hope you find more pleasure and creative juices with your new found freedom.
Thank you all so much! I am overwhelmed with your lovely comments and support, I really appreciate it. I will not be able to respond to you all individually, but please know I have read every single one of them and they mean the world to me. Thank you so much xxx
I hear you girl. I was a hobby demonstrator for five years.....no customers. I couldn't afford it anymore, so a bowed out about three years ago. Be happy in your new venture and don't stress, all is well.
I’m so glad u’ll be using retired stuff...I have so many so I’m very grateful to get ideas on how to use. I look forward also to seeing u use other stuff. Absolutely love ur UA-cams and will stay with u.
I totally understand ,,,,,,,,,,,,I love my retired stamps ,,,,,,,,can't wait to see what you create using exactly what you want to use! we will be watching!!! See you soon!!!!
Your comments resonated with me. I have only been a demonstrator since 2018 and I have loved it, but the challenges are exactly what you described - between needing to meet a quarterly minimum, to needing to use only current product when showing cards on my blog or You Tube videos. Plus, I'm like you that I don't like to sell, sell, sell. Demonstrators have to continually put out promotions and offerings to entice customers to buy from us or to get them to join under us. I have so much retired product, it kind of makes me sick when I think of the amount of money I spent and that once the products are retired, I'm "not supposed" to use them if I want to promote my busniess. Well, I WANT to use some of that retired stash because I love them. I also want to use other companies' products that I have seen and love. Maybe the biggest issue I have is that in the three years I have been a demonstrator, I have made virtually no money, except commission on my own purchases. I'm not sure it makes sense for me to continue either. I still have more thinking to do, but that's the direction I am leaning. Like you, I will keep my UA-cam channel and post videos to showcase my creations, just for fun. Good luck to you.
Good decision, that will probably bring more people to your channel. I only view channels to see the ladies creating, not to buy their product. Good luck for the future from a fellow Sydney sider!!
Just found you today... Good Luck I was a dem0 25 years ago. Spent more than I made. They got too greedy. Glad you will be crafting with a greater variety of products and not limited to 1 catalog. I will enjoy your creativity.
I'm so glad you're not leaving UA-cam!!!! You're very creative, and I love the way you see materials in a different way. You don't create the same "cookie cutter" crafts that everyone else does. I was a demo for 2 years. I have absolutely got tons of stuff that I haven't even inked up. When there are 50 demos that I watch, and all 50 are pushing sales on one stamp set, I begin to hate that set. These things get run into the ground. I still haven't gotten back into making things. I am knitting again, which I did before all the SU stuff, but I have all this "stamping stuff" I will never use. I wish I had used my brain in a better way. Good wishes to you, and I'll still be watching you create--but for FUN!!!!
Thank you for letting us know and thank you for still sharing your craft.... I love your videos.... a lot of us are same as you .... hanging by a thread here.... so good to keep in touch
Certainly understand the economics of your decision. Everything is going up and there are many of us who want to see cards made with the older stamps and papers we have. Good luck.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your projects now that you have a world full of crafty goods to choose from. There are so many really creative die and stamp designer out there, and Accessories and Tools that Stampin Up don't sell. I think this will give your creativity a whole new perspective. Onward and Upward! 😘❤️
I'm looking forward to seeing demos using retired stampin up products and other company supplies. Good luck. I have now subscribed to help support your channel. ❤️
You are being true to yourself. That is so great. I am looking forward to seeing your creations using retired products. I too am just not using what I currently have enough. Thank you for sharing.
Just found you and this video. Yes, I have so much stuff as well and need to use what I have. I am a new subscriber and wish you luck and lots of fun on this new adventure!!
I’ve been a “hobby demo” for about 2 yrs now and I have so much SU items, many that I haven’t used yet! I love stamping, but I’m trying to curb my purchases, and just be a customer when I want a specific product. I totally understand your decision, and I luv the idea of using using what you have in different creative ways. Good choice, Good luck 👍🏻 😉
Thanks for being very opened and honest. I too am a demonstrator and also find it hard to meet the quarterly commitment. I do this as a hobby that I love , but I love stamps from various companies as well. I don't make videos, but I enjoy watching them. Good luck to you, look forward to new videos from you in the future.
It's good to stretch your own wings sometimes to use your OWN creative juices and do it on your own time and your own way!!! Enjoy your break and good wishes in your new endeavor!!! 💖 👍 😉
Just discovered your post. I am about to leave SU too, after over 8 years. As a hobby stamper I can’t keep up the quarterly quota. Only have a couple of friends/customers who buy and if they don’t, the dollars are all up to me. Love the products, but also use other stuff, and I have enough of everything to last till I die!!! All the best to you.
I’m so happy you will continue to create on UA-cam. I enjoy your videos. I am a hobbyist demonstrator and I feel the crunch of the quarterly amount to stay active.
i subscribed today! i appreciate that you are going back to older stuff. I have lots of stampin up, but i find that it's hard to keep up with the latest. I wil love whatever you put together i'm sure! thanks.
This is my first video I watched of yours. I am a demo who has one customer ( my cousin) I want to do videos with a mix of companies. Thank you for the video. I just subscribed.
Good luck with your decision to venture into new pastures, hope you find your happy place where crafting is a joy for you. So glad you won't be leaving youtube, you give so much pleasure and encouragement to so many. Like lots of other crafter cannot afford to keep buying the latest releases, want more ways to use what I already have. Look forward to your next adventures and shares of your talents. All the best and regards from UK 🇬🇧
You are one of the finest creative representatives for Stampin Up. I say that as a result of learning so much from you and watching your tutorials. Much success going forward and I will continue gaining from your expertise by watching your channel. It is very exciting to think you will be combining so freely, so many other products for us to see. :-) Taking time for self is most definitely an action step toward personal success. I have a keen sense "you've got this"!
I have made this same decision myself, I understand the pressure and the angst felt at not being able to use ALL of your stash whenever you want. Blessings to you and I wish you much creative happiness in the future!!
All the very best Shannon, you made a good decision. I know it wasn't an easy decision to make, but you will reap the benefits when the pressure is gone. Have fun and I wish you much happiness with your crafting journey. Many blessings to you too xx
Terrific! Look forward to seeing a mix of old/new and other brands. I use my old SU products, new and mix many other brands. To see that on a channel, GREAT! Ive seen your videos, but now i subscribed.👍❤️
Funny…I feel much the same as you. I am also a demonstrator for just over 11 years and am sort of ready to let it go…I do have customers that fill my quota…good luck in your creative efforts!
Marie....this was a wonderful video! I will follow you no matter what you chose. I’m glad you are opening up your spectrum to include things you love. Wishing you the best and waiting patiently for your return!!
Looking forward to seeing your new videos. I live in Brisbane. I love watching the Australian demonstrators. It will be good to see ideas with other brand products. Good luck and happy crafting.
Look forward to your future videos! SU does have great product but there’s a lot out there. I have tried to rein myself in on buying new stamps and dies because #1 cost, #2 use. I too have tons of product and shamefully have found I have so many stamps, dies from various companies that I haven’t even used yet I want and need to! Good luck 👍
You are most welcome! I am so pleased you will enjoy watching videos with older stamp sets. I think it will be so much fun. I have so many stamps and it is a shame not to show them off again. Thank you so much for watching my channel, I really appreciate it. :-)
Best of luck Marie. I am having some of those same feelings as my Stampin’ Up! Supplies are taking over my craft room. I also enjoy your videos and will continue watching as you create.
Thank you for all the many videos you have shared through the 11 years. I pray you will regroup and continue to make your incredible design and will be watching for your new videos. Now relax and enjoy what you love to do. Have a good day, every day.
Looking forward to your future creations. I understand your thoughts and dilemma .... I could never get rid of the stamps etc that I love. I love being able to use the gorgeous grunge stamp set with painted poppy, or any combination of stamps that I want. And I understand that as a demonstrator that’s not possible. So good luck and all the best to you.
I know exactly where you are coming from I have been a hobby demonstrator twice over the last 12 years my stamp sets tools etc is pretty huge I’m slowly thinking on the same lines as you especially recently they retire items too quickly and I have always thought well it doesn’t matter because I don’t sell , but this time I’ve not even used half the sets that are retiring. I love your videos and your style of crafting so I will definitely follow you , lots of love and best wishes for your future success ❤️
Wishing you all the best with this new direction, you are one I've loved following because your cards and creations have always inspired me. I'll continue to watch your videos. I'm also a demonstrator in the U.S. and this most likely will be last quarter, like you I'm a horrible sales person, I hate pushing things on people, and its expensive, I live on a pension and again like you, I just don't have the extra money to meet quarterly minimums. Thank you for your honesty and lovely card designs, they've made me smile.
Just found you .I don't think your talent has anything to do with using Stampin up products . I think you are simply and absolutely talented .Period ! :) Paper crafting is a hobby of mine , i might not understand the madness of branded products but i do understand is killing initiative and creation process at personal level .I have run into so many other videos of ppl leaving this particular company ...sound very dodgy to me . New sub. here , bell on as well , excited to watch you creating lovely things xx
I have enjoyed your tutorials and watch all of them! You can use any products to demonstrate your crafting talents! I will still watch you from the USA, Washington state.
I too have lots of retired sets and would enjoy seeing more videos. I also like to work with lots of other products and looking forward to your videos!
In my opinion it's about the creativity, not all about particular products. There is no way I can afford even a fraction of the products I'd like to buy. So using what I already own is what I have to do. Thank you so much for your honesty and candour. Look forward to seeing what you create in the future. 🙂
I agree that the quotas are difficult to do a less you like to SELL!! I like the group and products….but I think it’s important to encourage people to use what you have. I joined you on You tube because I like what you had to say.
The quota is the killer. Would love to find a group of women (here in Canada who would "share" that quota) so we ALL get it at wholesale without feeling the burden alone.
Hoping that you continue to create for us. And using what you have is appealing to us who have some stash and want to continue to pull out what we have rather than always buying more.
I just stumbled upon your video. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours! I’m going to follow your channel. Btw....I like the card you’re showing! Good luck! ❤️
What a sweet heartfelt video! As others have said I love that you'll continue to use retired sets! As someone who is fighting "buying addiction", I need people who encourage "using what you have". I will continue to follow you and look forward to many wonderful videos!
As long as you are happy, and crafting, I will still be following you! There are so many amazing products out ther, it's a shame to feel stifled by one company! Good luck with everything. Catch you soon! X
Blessing your socks off Maria. I am proud to be one of your followers and admirers. Still love the K-Mart make up brushes for crafting. I WILL definitely keep following you on Pepperly Rose and I admire your decision. Happy Easter to you and your Family. Happy Crafting. XX Mal, Melbourne.
Great honest video. I am a hobby demo and just rejoined again as I wanted some of the retiring items at cut price. When you work out the cost to make cards using SU products it can easily go into over 100 per demo. You have a new subbie as I love the idea of seeing retired stuff coming out of retirement x Enjoy the next phase of your life x
So sorry to see you go. I have really enjoyed watching your videos. You are very creative. I have learned so much from you. Hope your new adventure is a grand success. Best of luck. Thank you, Pattie Weed From the good ole 🇺🇸 USA.
I too am glad you will be using retired SU products. It’s way too expensive to keep buying new products. I will be subscribing to your channel and look forward to seeing new ideas!
I just found your channel. I love stampin up for the fact that I can get paper and ink and markers to all match. As far as the stamps I like all companies and us others besides Stampin Up. I am going to start following you to see want great ideas you come up with.
Hey Maria, you gotta do what ya gotta do. All the best in your new venture. Keeping up in these financially difficult times is hard to do, don’t feel you have let us down, think of it as a way of expanding your and our crafting adventures in the future. Looking forward to watching you again when you’re up and running.🌷🌿
I do cards and scrapbooking for pleasure and enjoy seeing and getting ideas from people, who, like me, do'nt have all the companies products who have all the matching stamps paper etc. Just a plodder from the other side of the ditc, that being that me a Kiwi.
oh my gosh I totally understand where you are coming from. I had to do the same exact thing a year ago, feeling a bit limited, got to expensive for me to keep up and just wanted to stamp and enjoy what I had and not have to keep buying more. I'm excited to see what you are going to create especially saying you will use retired sets and other products too. I do love stampin up but I felt they were getting in a rut with their designs, to much all the same with just a tiny twist. I support your decision to move on. good luck and hope to see you soon with even more great creations.
I understand completely. I am very happy you will still have your channel and look forward to the "new". I like S.U. prod. but could never use only theirs. I live in America and it is hard to afford S.U. now. I feel since the daughter took over she has raised prices every year and her focus for the co. is not what her Mom's was. They are pricing me out. So many co. with quality products, they shld. becareful.Their rewards program for an average customer is trash.
I’m sticking with you and wishing you the very best in what you do. Ps I made the same card you had on the video after watching you make it ages ago, thanks x
I agree with you. I am a hobby demonstrator and while I was sorting though my paper, I realized that most of the paper is only current for a 3 - 6 month period of time as well as the stamps/dies. Good luck.
I think your future looks bright. Mixing stamping up products with other brands will give you much more creativity. All the best. Happy crafting and I have just subscribed to your channel.
So glad you’ll be using retired products from Stampin Up. I have so many stamp sets and would like to see old sets used. Good luck in your future endeavors! Thanks for sharing.

Same here. I'll stay but only buying the minimum.
Thank you for your honesty and I wish you the best. Now you can just relax and enjoy crafting for the joy that it brings.
You are most welcome. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. :-)
I totally understand. I was a demonstrator for a couple of years, and I think I had to buy more product than I sold. I was done. Could not afford the quarterly minimum. I like the product, but there is so much more out there. Blessings to you dear lady.

Bravo - you r enjoyable. Will continue to watch from Ohio.

Very nicely said. I wish you luck and happiness in your next step in life. 👍👍👍

Former Stampin Up Demo here. Saw the title of video, and subscribed right away!
I hope you keep showing us your creations!
In my opinion it's about the creativity, not all about particular products. There is no way I can afford even a fraction of the products I'd like to buy. So using what I already own is what I have to do. Thank you so much for your honesty and candour. Look forward to seeing what you create in the future. 🙂
Wishing the best future in your adventure! I am really looking forward to watching your creative cards!
I agree that the quotas are difficult to do a less you like to SELL!! I like the group and products….but I think it’s important to encourage people to use what you have. I joined you on You tube because I like what you had to say.
Thank you so much for subscribing Chris! Its hard to keep up with quotas after a while. Definitely use what you have, you'll have lots of fun x
Good luck! ❤️
Thank you so much for watching and I am so glad you stubbled on my channel. I hope you enjoy! x
So glad you will still share videos! Good luck.❤️❤️❤️
I totally agree with you! I just subscribed, I love different products, I will be watching your videos
Thanks for subbing, I really appreciate it.
Thank you, Pattie Weed
From the good ole 🇺🇸 USA.
I too am glad you will be using retired SU products. It’s way too expensive to keep buying new products. I will be subscribing to your channel and look forward to seeing new ideas!
Thank you so much Faye, I really appreciate you watching my channel and I'm so pleased you like my #usewhatyouhave motto. Have fun creating! :-)
Best of Luck with whatever new adventures you have and I look forward to watching your videos.
You are very honest and that is a blessing! Good luck with your future endeavors.
I will definitely continue to follow you on your creative adventure!!!!! :) hugs to you!!!
Congrats on your new stats. Best wishes in your creative journey!
I agree with you 100% x
I wish you only the very best. I look forward to seeing you in your next chapter!
Creative memories no pressure no quota
I understand completely. I am very happy you will still have your channel and look forward to the "new". I like S.U. prod. but could never use only theirs. I live in America and it is hard to afford S.U. now. I feel since the daughter took over she has raised prices every year and her focus for the co. is not what her Mom's was. They are pricing me out. So many co. with quality products, they shld. becareful.Their rewards program for an average customer is trash.
Best of luck to you! I’m glad you are continuing videos on UA-cam.. I will look forward to seeing them. 💕
Good luck.
Good luck in your future and wish you all the best. I just found you today and the card you showed looked lovely.
I think your future looks bright. Mixing stamping up products with other brands will give you much more creativity. All the best. Happy crafting and I have just subscribed to your channel.
Happy for you. Take care of you so you can continue to create and do what you love.
