Wow! You are the second Stampin Up demonstrator that I watched on UA-cam within this past week that quit Stampin up for the exact same reason. I think Stampin Up needs to re-evaluate their policy because honestly, the demonstrators are subcontractors and I am sure it is very difficult to support yourself or your family solely on promoting their products. I hope you have a happy and healthy new year. I wish you well.
I was going to say that. I’ve seen several that are quitting Stampin’ Up. I’m not that crazy over their products, not to mention how expensive they are. Good luck to you!!
I could never understand the exclusiveness of a craft company. I always thought crafting was about improvising and using ingenuity with whatever you had.
I just came across your video today. I use a lot of other products from other companies. I also watch other non Stampin up videos. There’s so much life outside of Stampin up I hope you continue on your path of recovery. Thoughts and prayers for you
UA-cam recommended your video to me, so I clicked to watch. Then liked & subscribed as I enjoyed your matter of factness, style, & personality. Love your craft room, glasses & top, btw. I wish you continued recovery & years of good health. Thanks for your explanation. I have been a hobby demonstrator but won't be continuing. Most SU products now just don't speak to me & they are frightfully expensive. Plus I think of the company owners & execs & how they must be making $$ hand over first with all the demonstrators worldwide. The is a lot of pressure on "underling" demonstrators to sell & to get more people under them or "on their team." I subscribe to & watch many SU demonstrators, and I feel like it is more a sales pitch in most cases than it is a "let me show you how to create a card." I watch many non-SU demonstrators & like not feeling pushed into buying the products they are using. There seems to be more joy in the card making process in the non-SU card makers videos. I hope you have that same joy & freedom of spirit as a non-SU demonstrator. I look forward to more of your videos. And, I hope you meet your subscriber & monetary goals very soon.
Thank you so much Ellen. I look forward to having you around. Hopefully my stories & cardmaking will bring you some fun & joy! Thats the goal after all! Money is secondary, truly. Money is nice but without joy its not worth much! Hopefully we can get to know each other on this journey!
Stampin Up is a MLM (Multi Level Marketing), otherwise known as a legal pyramid scheme. The "legal" comes in form of a product, not just a promise. The push is to get as many people under you as possible, to line the CEO and execs pockets with all the % of product sold. I do buy some SU, as I like some of their products, but I'd never be a demonstrator, as I can't just solely rely on SU. My tastes are way too varied to be fulfilled only by SU
Thank you so much. My very close friend just told me yesterday that if I'm too sick & weak to make crafty videos I should just do life updates. Im thinking about it. We shall see.
Totally agree with you! I don't want to be locked into one company either. I feel bad for reps that must buy new products over again, such as when they change the ink pads.
I was a Close to my heart consultant for 5 years and then a Fun stampers Journey coach for a year and then I was a Stampin Up! demonstrator for 2 years.. I quit last yer and have been having soooooo much more fun exploring all the stamp companies out there that do not require exclusivity. you go girl.
I was a demonstrator for stampin up for a while. Up until the holiday catalog came out and did not contain any Hanukkah stamps whatsoever. I contacted my upline and did exactly as she instructed me. Stampin UP chastised me for doing as I was told. Eventually I was told that Hanukkah stamps do not sell. I was shocked as I had been purchasing them even before I became a demonstrator. I then asked how this suddenly happened after twenty plus years. All I got was more chastising. When I needed help my upline was not terribly interested in me as I was not a big seller. When this all went down about five years ago I left Stampin UP and refuse to watch their videos nor purchase any products from them.
I agree. It feels as if Jewish people (and many other religions) are being marginalized. There are only Christian holiday stamps/sets available, which is unfortunate.
@@Daughterofsantini I know how you feel. Im not Jewish but I do feel that SU should at least put Judaica in their holiday catalog. Isn't that what a Holiday catalog is for?!?? I worked w/stamps & paper when I worked@ Hobby Lobby. Most of the times the Hanukkah stamps were seasonal. This means that the buyers only bought so many for all the stores & then that was it. They were like .99 & maybe $1.49.They sold, I myself bought several. IMHO I think SU just didn't want to be bothered w/this or any subject that "might offend" their customers.
I am also a SU demo...almost 6 years. I agree with you about the last catalogs. Very little has excited me or most of my customers lately. And I feel that all I get done is pushing new catalogs at my customers. To be honest, my customers have bought alot less since SU started doing more and more catalogs and new collections every 3 weeks or so. Thank you for your honest thoughts!
I am a stampin up personal use only demo. I fully agree. I like to pick things out and think about them for a few days. Look through the book again and notice other things I missed the first time. I want to be sure that I will be able to do several things with each set I buy. Then a new book comes out and you forget about the annual book. I was drawen in because the paper, ribbon, ink ect. all match. But lately they are starting to not match. For example the new ocean wave products list 3 colors the gems come in, but I clearly can see 6-7 different colors. Watching other UA-cam videos I have heard people say they are Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green, Costal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. I feel Stampin Up wants to cut out as many companies as possible so they keep more profit. But in the process they are lacking the quality control. Colors have become various shades of colors. Not just one specific color. And my most recent order had 14 different stamp set in it because it included many earned sale-a-bration stamp sets. I had to have 3 sets replaced because they had defects in the stamps. They are definitely going down hill rapidly.
@@hollylowery5148 you have hit the nail on the head! I can not buy all these stamp sets and other items but they don't seem to care. I also can not promote these huge suites to my customers as these are so expensive. Most of my ladies are on limited incomes. I had 4 people sign up under me last fall and none have met their quotas. I reminded them about the quotas and each said they were going to let their demo ship lapse as it was too hard to continually make quota. I called SU for help. I was told that if a demo lapses, they can literally sign back up the next day/week/month and get a new starter kit as long as they sign under the same upline demo. So why would anyone try to be a long term demo? I am seriously thinking about letting mine drop after 6 years to sign up again and get to pick another $125 of products for $99. Thats what one of my ladies is planning to do every time the annual catalog comes out. It's sad but SU don't care for us small time demos who they relied on when Shelli first started the business. They have their eyes on those million $$ sellers which will never be me.Good luck, Leanne in all your ventures and stay healthy! Keep kicking cancers A*S!
I've bought alot less, too. Stampin Up sure have promotion after promotion and you just know you're not missing out as something other will catch your eye, so I just watch. I'm not falling for their monthly promotions as I've got stamps from the early 90's and various other companies. They're recycling their themes and images.
This is going to happen more and more...when other demonstrators figure out they can't cross sell anything per SU...and there are so many things to cross sell! You do you girl!
Hi LeAnne... it's not hard to understand why you made the choice to expand into other companies. I am a Stampin Up Demonstrator... mostly hobby, and I started making cards for exactly the same reason... to make people happy. What you send out comes back to you in so many ways. The exact opposite happened to me though.... I bought tons of stuff at Michaels, craft stores and online ... for years... much of my shopping was trying to find stuff that matched. It only took 3 Stampin Up classes for me to be totally sold. I had spent so much money on paper, etc ... So, I will stick with SU.... I have made so many friends and met so many wonderful people.... I don't depend on SU for income although is does help me stay active and still be able to buy what I want and what I need. I am so happy for you that you found all this help with your media. I am 78, so my extra time on this earth won't be on media, I can still teach and share and make cards to send out. You are definitely blessed to have found your calling. May God fill your heart to overflowing and keep you in good health.
Just found you!!! Love your honesty, glasses and creative “mess”! I work the same way! Not all organized but it works for me. Continue to showcase your talents in ways that work for you!!! Prayers for your health journey.
Congratulations on besting cancer! 😀👏🏼That is so awesome. Stay happy, stay positive and keep making cards. I have met so many incredible women by making cards.
I'm just returning to cardmaking again after over 20 years. I'm back to being a total beginner....... I was convinced to join SU as a hobby demonstrator as a way of getting cheap supplies to start over..... That was not a good idea, and I will be leaving too. I have MS and am on a disability pension, so there is no way I can afford it.... Loving making new friends through cards though
Not quite understanding SU's policy of not using, promoting, selling other companies products. Nearly every SU YT I subscribe to refers their viewers to "check out my store" and click on "my favorites". Many mention getting a commission from the sale. If SU has this policy, how can YT channels refer their viewers like this? I'd welcome a Brand XYZ die or stamp used in conjunction with an SU product -- many times it would enhance the whole project! So .... you quit SU because .. of limitations and restrictions? There are so many great companies -- and crafters can create something with any brand!! Continued success!
Yes I believe you did. I quit because Stampin'Up only allows its demonstrators to promote Stampin'Up. I use other products and would like to be able to promote them all. Eventually generating an income from affiliate marketing. I hope that answers your question.
Good for you. Hope your remission journey is top priority. I know. I'm in it. Making cards is so relaxing...brings me joy, like you. Be in control of your life.
I am surprised that once more another person is forced to resign because of this policy. I am a UA-cam stalker of craft videos. I see constantly well known and well recognised SU demonstrators referencing other products which in fact are not Stampin Up but providing links to these other 'foreign' products as well as retired products. I ask this question: Why is this allowed by a selective few who in fact have won awards and are still regarded as 'goodies'. It should be what is good for one is good for all. Surely it is a democratic company? LeAnne you story was very similar to another demonstrator in Canada. I wish you well on your new crafting pathway. I have pressed subscribed and will follow your successful journey. Best wishes conquering all problems. I am Sydney based. Chris
Hi LeAnne, I just came across your channel today and you captivated me immediately.I have SU products and you are right, the catalogues the last few years have been underwhelming! I am looking forward to following you, seeing the cards you make and listening to your stories. Hoping this year brings you better health.Take care.
Best of luck LeAnne on your new venture. Praying for your health to improve and for UA-cam success for you! I can’t wait to see what you do with your card making!
I used to buy a lot of stampin up stuff in the beginning. I was so sick of everything being discontinued so quickly. Also their stuff is too expensive and they are usually late to the game with new products such as the stamping platform. Once in a blue moos they will have something I like and then I’ll purchase. I’d definitely hate to be a demonstrator. They need to rethink their whole policy.
Just found you today. I'm new to cardmaking & I usually buy my items on sale. Sorry, but Stampin Up may have some nice items but are too pricey for me. I am a new subscriber & are looking forward to watching your channel.
I considered becoming a SU demonstrator but i cannot afford to spend the required amount and i do not have the connections to sell the requred amount! Since I am a newbie at stamping and card-making, I really don't know if this is a medium i will desire to continue with! (I tried to get into chalk painting last year but it was not for me!) Therefore, I don't want to lay out $$ for lots of supplies! Thanks for your honesty and I wish you continued recovery!
I had been with SU for 5 year’s and left. I felt like the stamps were basically similar of previous stamps plus it was all buy buy buy. Left and haven’t looked back.
Hi LeAnne, you came across my feed today. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Your craft room, is fine. It’s YOURS, and really if you know where everything is, that’s awesome! I subscribed and I am praying for your recovery.
Thanks so much! I'm preparing a crafteoom tour video. It really is a craft room on a budget. Who needs Ikea? 😆 🤣 I look forward to getting to know you. Make it a great day!!
i was also a SU! demonstrator for about 8 years. i quite last year as i was just getting tired of the stamp set choices. they just weren't doing anything for me anymore. i LOVE that there is paper, ink, markers, ribbon, and bling in the same color. easy to match and coordinate! but i was spending a lot money (hobby demonstrator) on things that weren't inspiring me. i discovered online shopping (yikes!) and a whole new world of possibilities. what i got from your video..... do the very thing that you love and that makes you happy! thanks for sharing your story. hope you are well. happy crafting!
So happy I found your channel! I love why you make cards...to spread joy! That's exactly why I make cards too. You are very interesting and seem like a lot of fun. I look forward to watching your channel! Prayers for healing and quicker recovery. Thank you for sharing with us. Best of success to you, sending some joy over to you😊💕
Good for you. Just bomb in to your channel. I like the way you are thinking. People need to have joy and be free to use, sell or advertise the products they use. I will be honest to you. I live from a pension and I love to make cards but stampin' up for me is to expensive. I live in Spain and I use what I think is nice to make a card with. And I love to watch channels like yours. So don't give up and share some lovely ideas of you with us. 😘😘
I understand you don’t want to be limited. Keep having fun. There’s nothing wrong with learning as you go and sharing what you learned. I’m always curious to watch.
I think your craft room is fine. What matters is that you can find everything. I agree about receiving handmade cards. I have been a Stampin up consultant for yrs. I'm not confident enough to do videos or sell my cards. I need a break. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you recover. Thank you for being you.
Hi LeAnne, I just found your video! I am also leaving SU. I am bored with their stamps. They do have great products and loved the coordination of colors. But they have gotten so expensive and like you said , so many other alternatives and styles that I enjoy better. I will for sure check out your other video’s. Thanks for the info on the Media company. I will for sure check it out. I am dealing with recovering from back surgery and it’s been hard to record video’s and make cards sitting for to long. I just started about 3 years ago and have a lot to learn. My video’s are not very good, but trying. I hope each day gets better for you. Hugs. Tfs
Trying is what matters when it comes to UA-cam. Just keep making videos when you can. Back surgery is a pretty major deal. Recovery is important. I'm so glad you'll be sticking around! Good to have you in the family. Welcome!
Just discovered your chanel. Your craft space is wonderful. I don't have space for anything, my stuff is in a corner in the living room. I'm excited to watch you! I admire that you want the best for the people who watch you.
I sure do. Its Happy Mail by LeAnne. I'm so excited that you want to follow me there. I am currently working out when I can best do a weekly FB Live. So far Wednesdays at 2 pm pacific time works for me. Please keep an eye out for those details. 🤗
Good for you! I know you'll be happier & healthier. I thought about being one, but I know I will not adhere to the exclusivity. For instance, the XYRON sticker makers are a lot better in sticking cursive die cuts but some encourage you to use GLUE! NO!!! My Xyrons & my Tear & Tape do practically everything. I used to work in the Crafts section with the Stamps & paper(ordering & stocking). There are many more companies that make fun images for stamps. Their papers aren't bad either. Even though I buy SU, I get a lot of older SU stamp sets on eBay. Because of costs I now buy SOME lookalike SU stamp sets on Amazon. I refuse to pay $33-40 on a die set. Lastly, thx for thoroughly explaining the affiliate program. I didn't know it lasted 24 hrs...good to know. Thx for sharing, looking forward to keeping up w/yr journey😍
I'm also leaving SU. I'm also disabled. I hope and pray that your health continues to get better. First time I've seen your video. I subscribed and look forward to seeing your work.
Your video popped up as a recommendation because I recently watched two other videos by Stampin' Up demonstrators saying they too were quitting Stampin' Up - and for the same reasons you cited. I have been a demonstrator for nearly 4 years and make pretty much no money at it. I hate the push to sell, sell, sell every time a new product or initiative comes out. I'm not all about pushing people to buy things just so I can make a pittance in commission. It has been taking all the fun out of card making. I like many of SU's products, particularly their paper. Like you though, I also love products by other companies. But SU doesn't let us show those products if it conflicts with their product line. I have a collection of Prima paper doll stamps that I used to make cards with before I became an SU demonstrator. I love those stamps but I'm not able to show them on my website, so they sit in a drawer, unused. I want to go back to that. I also have other ideas for cards using non-SU products, and I have tried to adapt those ideas using SU products, but it doesn't always work. I am feeling frustrated and hamstrung by SU's limitations on demonstrators. Watching your video made me realize I am not alone. Thank you for that.
I just stumbled upon your video with the explanation as to why you are leaving SU after only a short stint. GOOD FOR YOU! LOL My friends dragged me to a SU party back in the early 1990's (or maybe even before) and I got sort of hooked on stamping. I have not bought any SU products for years as their stamps are so boring and there is very little innovation in their product lines; and, I have progressed way beyond SU. I am loving hot foiling, alchohol inks on acetate, and any interactives for my grandkids, etc. I just wanted to say I admire your attitude and hope things will improve for you. I am retired and have a compromised immune system so I have been pretty much shut in since Covid reared its ugly head. I am going to subscribe to your channel for the stamping and the stories. I think it will be a hoot. Take care, will see you soon...Granny in Mpls, MN
You are probably the 4th person I know that has quit S.U. for the same reason. What I DON'T understand is there are other demonstrators that use other company's products and post them on their website, saying what other company they came from! One is Roseanne Mulhern. She uses mostly other companies now and lists them! S.U. let's her do it obviously! Others I know that quit S.U. for being told they cannot do that. Either stop or leave. Not her.???
I used to be a demonstrator but I couldn't keep up with the sales quota. Now I buy at least $20 a month because I'm in a stamping up club... but I also discovered Honeybee stamps and MFT and also discovered alliexpress and they have very nice stamps but I have to wait a month to receive them.
Why would *anyone* want to work with only materials from one source??? It's like trying to walk on only one leg. And what it says to me when a company restricts their retailers so severely is that that company doesn't believe in that their product can complete. And they could be right! Stampin' Up videos *always* end up sounding like commercials to me so I've never bought any SU product and have, nevertheless, been able to paper craft very well without them. Best wishes for your recovery. I know you made the right decision to have one less stress and negativity in your life!
I am a new subscriber. As someone else said you are the second person to resign from stamping up this week that I I heard about. I do watch people from stamping up, but I find their product to be very expensive. Yes it's nice to have papers and inks that are color coordinated, but I can't afford that luxury. I make due with what I have. Thank you for sharing I will be watching your card making. 😊
I used to be with CTMH and I had the SAME issue! I got to where I didn't like the designs either and I had zero motivation to do anything with the materials nor did I want to purchase them just for the sake of making them with that. I have a huuuuuge stash and had posted pictures of my content on Instagram and was asked to take them down because it had items on it that were other than CTMH. I refuse to be pigeonholed into selling ONLY their things. Have they not seen Miracle on 34th Street where Santa was recommending other stores to find what they needed?
I know what you mean about having supplies from many different brands. Sometimes I think I should only use supplies from one brand so I can tag them in social media but then it limits your creativity.
I just saw your video from nine months ago. I hope you are feeling better and your decision has given you the income you need. I thought you left Stampin Up period I chew feel that the stamps are not relevant to me. I’m not into funny little animals in that type of thing. I hope your decision has left you with peace.
Oh thank you. You are very sweet. I have been very sick for the last few months and haven't been able to make new videos because of it. Makes me sad but I can only do what I can do.
I have decided to quit stampin' up for many of the same reasons. I do not do u-tube videos but I can't make money when they cancel so many things and then bring parts of them back in other sets that I then have to.purchase. Also having to invest in 5 new colors every year gets expensive. I am mostly a hobby stamper so I wasn't making enough to even support my habit. I feel encouraged for you that you have the opportunity to make an income.
Just found you, I also have just resigned from stampinup after 4 years. Will follow you now. Good luck with any new ventures you undertake. Cheers Carol from Australia
I just subscribed to your channel😊 Since She'll she's daughter, Sara has taken over their prices are outrageous. There are other stamp co. that have coordinating inks, ribbon, paper, markers and don't cost as much.Products being equal PLUS made in the USA. NOT Communist China!
Best of luck to you, Leanne! You came across my feed today, and because i had seen a couple others recently quit SU, i was interested in your reason why. I am not a demonstrator, but LOVE making cards to bring joy to people. In fact, I send cards to everyone in my church for birthdays and anniversaries. I just subscribed to your channel because i love your reason for making cards. Hoping to get some beautiful card ideas. Thank you in advance!
I just came across your channel tonight. Firstly, best wishes to you with your recovery. 🙂 Having several autoimmune illnesses, I fully understand financial disability income limitations. Trying to supplement that income is not an easy task, so I hope that you are successful through affiliate linking. I love that your craft room looks real. Like myself, others too might not have perfectly coordinated expensive white gleaming storage systems to house their supplies. Lastly, I subscribed to your channel in the hopes of trying to help you reach your 1k subscriber monetization goal. Best of luck. 😊
Your craft area is perfect for you!! As long as you know and can find everything you need. I totally understand what you are saying!! I do not like or use all of the Stamp in Up products. I am not going to promote something I do not use. I subscribed to your site. Praying for you as you continue with your recovery journey.
Thank you so much for subscribing and for your kind words. I made a craft room video that'll be going up in the next few days. After filming I realize just how perfect my space is for me.
Good for you. As a seasoned card maker there is a whole world of supples out their. My experience with stamping up was not great. So hears to you as you move forward and expand your horizon. God bless
I need to do this! I will be celebrating my 5th year March 31st and was a I need it all girl! Now I have it all and have found another craft I love! I celebrated 1 year with them yesterday! This direct sales company has a much easier policy for using product and selling after completed. I have subscribed because I like your attitude!
It is indeed kind of messy 😅💦. I hope you get discovered. I pray the Lord heal you completely from that. Amen Courage as you continue this journey. From FB and just joined your family
Bring joy and make your money! I thought about doing SU around the same time I started my channel. But decided not to for that same reason. Thanks for sharing your story. And for the tip, I'm checking out Think Media now.
Thanks for your honesty. Prayers for your health recovery! Your SU story isn’t new among other crafters who feel the same way about the company’s products. Take care & many blessings to you!
You explained affiliate program very well. You get part of Amazon’s profit by providing the link . . . profit they would not have gained if it were not for your link! I get it!
@@happymailbyleanne2916 not the newest one comparing to the first when I started it seems that each does go downhill a bit more. Which is very sad because when I look at the other websites they have much higher quality of stamps. I wish they would focus a bit more on quality instead of quantity. I would love to see them offer more products that assist the stampers instead of stamp set after stamp set. It seems like they are just recycling ideas every year. That is just my opinion as I look at retired sets that are on sale on Facebook and etsy etc.
I've only just found you this evening (I'm in Victoria, Australia), and I am so happy that I did 💕. Like you, I'm on a disability pension (I've had MS for over 30 years now, and can no longer work at all), and I also joined Stampin Up to help pay for the supplies that I desperately need!! I have just started cardmaking again after over 20 years, and everything has changed!!! There were no die cutters or fancy electronic machines that almost make everything for you, stamps were on big wooden blocks, and I had never heard of distress oxides until recently!! I will be doing the same thing as you, but I can't see myself doing this format ( definitely not my idea of fun 🤣🤣) - hopefully I can find someone who will help me set up a daily blog 😉. So pleased that I found you 🥰🥰
I'm so glad you found me. You're so right everything is so much different then it used to be. I still have tons of those stamps on big wooden blocks. I'm just not ready to part with a lot of them. It is so wonderful that you are cardmaking again! Welcome aboard!
Good morning, LeAnne. You gave an apt explanation of what's going on with so many dems jumping ship. If it wasn't for my downline, I'd jump as well. I'm hanging in long enough to train her then I'm going back to playing with 'all the toys'. Creative Blessings!
Simon says stamp makes their stamps in the Good Ole US of A, so I've been looking there first. It feels great to find companies manufacturing in USA!!! 💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸
Stampin Up better wake up. They are losing some great demonstrators. I'm participating in March Crop and Create Card Making Classes and there are many, many different vendors participating over a 3-days. They all work and support each other. No one product fits all. I buy from many different vendors.
I like what you said. But I do think you should explain more on why you left Stampin up. I know my sister joined Stampin up, but now she had to leave too. They say you have to spend $300.00 within a 3 months to keep up your membership, you can't use other people products on your videos, they drop colors/inks papers every 6mos to a year. To me that is so costly when you put so much money into their stuff then get rid of it. Yes somethings are good. I seen many people leave Stampin Up. Sometimes the demonstrator get so big, then Don't take time to work with a new Comer, but leave you high and dry.
Videos like yours are evidence I want to use to stop my mum from becoming a distributor for them, I don't want to see her creativity curbed or see her chokechained by having to exclusively use SU products, especially with how expensive they are. I really think it would kill her newfound love of card making. I wish you a speedy recovery
Hi honey, SU is nothing but sell, sell, sell, the pressure on people like yourself must be ridiculous. I have their inks and refills (and a few of their stamps) but their products are repetitive, clunky (the Stamparatus for example) and waaaay too expensive. I look at the new stuff online then, should there be something I like, I wait for the Chinese ripoff - usually a fraction of the price and works just as well. You do not need their negative energy in your life, get rid, honey, and get better. I too am a disabled cardmaker, admire your courage and terrific style and wish you so well for the future. Liz in the UK
Yep, I have been a demonstrator for about 12 years, and I am SO BORED with their catalogs. It seems like they are geared toward a new stamper or something because their stamp sets all look alike year after year, many of their samples are basic and pitifully plain, and they are so behind in innovative new products. I buy from many other companies too, but am not on You Tube yet-mainly a hobbyist demonstrator. But I have been thinking of leaving for a couple years now because I can buy more interesting things from other companies and am tired of having to spend $1200 a year with Stampin’ Up! Good luck in your new adventure! I just happened upon you, and your caption grabbed me since I feel the same. I look forward to checking out your other videos!
Thank you for being here. 12 years is a long time. It stinks that you're bored. Hopefully you can find things here that reignite the excitement of being creative.
Left Stampin Up as a disabled homebound. Not able to "bring in" others and love getting materials from everywhere. But when they required us to put Stampin Up on all my cards, that was it for me. Too many restrictions and can't afford their products. Thank you for sharing your life and cards. Transparency is important to most of us. :)
You are the fifth Stampin Up demo person who is quitting that I have watched today. I don't buy much but I enjoy watching how-to vids and then making things with what I have so you are perfect for me. I'm also disabled so I couldn't afford the SU stuff I've seen. It's nice to see someone who wants to show how-to without directly pushing product. I have subscribed. Hope it helps! :)
New subscriber here. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. I have to say, Think Media seems pretty terrific. I need to do that 1K subscriber challenge too.
Best of luck… I’ve heard of other people jumping ship from SU-- their heavy handedness will be their downfall. Their stamps are pretty outdated and old lady-ish… and expensive! one tip … your camera seems to be autofocusing all the time (it moves in and out) makes it’s a bit distracting and makes me a bit nauseous… you might try to resolve that so it’s a bit easier to watch.
Thanks so much. I 100% agree.
I quit Close to My Heart for these exact same reasons. Sadly that's how all MLM,s work.
Keri that is a great philosophy.
Exactly!
I just came across your video today. I use a lot of other products from other companies. I also watch other non Stampin up videos. There’s so much life outside of Stampin up I hope you continue on your path of recovery. Thoughts and prayers for you
Yes. That is true there is so much more to life outside of Stampin'Up. Thank you for your words of encouragement.
The is a lot of pressure on "underling" demonstrators to sell & to get more people under them or "on their team."
I subscribe to & watch many SU demonstrators, and I feel like it is more a sales pitch in most cases than it is a "let me show you how to create a card." I watch many non-SU demonstrators & like not feeling pushed into buying the products they are using.
@@Card_Crazed Yep. I agree. My tastes are too varied as well to only buy SU products.
After watching your video I can only say one thing…YOU GO, GIRL!!! Blessings and a healthy recovery too
Thank you! You're Awesome.
Thank you for your honesty1! I am a cancer survivor Stage III twenty two years now. A prayer for your healing.
Yes! This!
SU treats their demonstrators terribly
I was a Close to my heart consultant for 5 years and then a Fun stampers Journey coach for a year and then I was a Stampin Up! demonstrator for 2 years.. I quit last yer and have been having soooooo much more fun exploring all the stamp companies out there that do not require exclusivity. you go girl.
Wow! Thats a lot of experience. Cool!
Im sorry you had such an unsavory experience.
Its really kind of sad, isn't it!
Ditto!!
I was never a demonstrator but I am so glad I expanded beyond stampin up. So many cool companies out there!
Yes! Exactly!
This is going to happen more and more...when other demonstrators figure out they can't cross sell anything per SU...and there are so many things to cross sell! You do you girl!
Thank you.
Thank you. You are very sweet.
Just found you!!! Love your honesty, glasses and creative “mess”! I work the same way! Not all organized but it works for me. Continue to showcase your talents in ways that work for you!!! Prayers for your health journey.
Thank you so much! Blessings to you!
Congratulations on besting cancer! 😀👏🏼That is so awesome. Stay happy, stay positive and keep making cards. I have met so many incredible women by making cards.
I Love this comment! Thank you.
Yes a lot of Stampin'Up UA-camrs promote other products. I am not comfortable breaking the policy.
Did I miss why you left SU? You go on and on about youtube, but i.must have missed the part about SU....
Chris
Hello Chris! Thank you for watching. Welcome to the family!
Hi LeAnne, I just came across your channel today and you captivated me immediately.I have SU products and you are right, the catalogues the last few years have been underwhelming! I am looking forward to following you, seeing the cards you make and listening to your stories. Hoping this year brings you better health.Take care.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found me & I hope my content brings you joy.
Best of luck LeAnne on your new venture. Praying for your health to improve and for UA-cam success for you! I can’t wait to see what you do with your card making!
Thank you so much.
Thank you for you comment. I think a lot of people feel the same way. I know I do.
I’m sure this was a difficult decision. I love your stories-and your dimples!
Just found you today. I'm new to cardmaking & I usually buy my items on sale. Sorry, but Stampin Up may have some nice items but are too pricey for me. I am a new subscriber & are looking forward to watching your channel.
Yes Stampin'Up is pricey. Thats a great point. I'm glad youre here! Hopefully I can get you some good deals!
@@happymailbyleanne2916 Thank you! Have a good day!
I do understand your preference to leave SU! If you are able to advertise, market and keep your business afloat another way, more power to you!
Card making is all about creativity not selling products.
Watching from Prince George BC Canada, just saw you tonight & good luck on your new adventure 👍👍👍❤️
Thank you. I hope you stick around.
First time watching you, I’m a hobby demonstrator with stampin up
Thats great! I think its a good way to go for a lot of people. Its just not for me. Thanks for watching. I hope you stick around.
So happy I found your channel! I love why you make cards...to spread joy! That's exactly why I make cards too. You are very interesting and seem like a lot of fun. I look forward to watching your channel! Prayers for healing and quicker recovery. Thank you for sharing with us. Best of success to you, sending some joy over to you😊💕
Thank you Michelle! I'm so glad you were able to find us.
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I'm glad you found me. I look forward to hearing more from you.
I understand you don’t want to be limited. Keep having fun. There’s nothing wrong with learning as you go and sharing what you learned. I’m always curious to watch.
Thank you so much. I really am grateful for you.
What is the name of the bottle
I think your craft room is fine. What matters is that you can find everything. I agree about receiving handmade cards. I have been a Stampin up consultant for yrs. I'm not confident enough to do videos or sell my cards. I need a break. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you recover. Thank you for being you.
Awe......thank you for your sweet words. I couldn't sleep last night so I spent most of it cleaning the craft room. It feels much better now lol.
Welcome!
I really love honeybee stamps and my favorite things
Just discovered your chanel. Your craft space is wonderful. I don't have space for anything, my stuff is in a corner in the living room. I'm excited to watch you! I admire that you want the best for the people who watch you.
Thanks so much. I look forward to getting to know you. Make it a good day!
Do you have a fb page? I would love to follow you there.
I sure do. Its Happy Mail by LeAnne. I'm so excited that you want to follow me there. I am currently working out when I can best do a weekly FB Live. So far Wednesdays at 2 pm pacific time works for me. Please keep an eye out for those details. 🤗
Ten seconds two hours to go
Good for you!
Thanks!
I wish you well with your health & business. Looking forward to your help to teach me more about making cards.
Glad you're here.
I'm also leaving SU. I'm also disabled. I hope and pray that your health continues to get better. First time I've seen your video. I subscribed and look forward to seeing your work.
Thank you.
Giving joy to others through card making is my philosophy, too. I just found you today and subscribed.
Thank you. Nice to be with like minded people.
Thank you for sharing. Im sorry you're not having a positive SU experience. Maybe its time for a change?
Welcome aboard!
Not her.???
I know. Its strange isn't it.
Just subscribed and liked. Best wishes. Looking forward to your content in the future.
Thank you so much! I am grateful you're here! 😃
I'm glad you found a way to make stamping work for you even with how expensive it is.
Very well said! Thank you!
Thank you. Glad youre here!
thank you,
I used to be with CTMH and I had the SAME issue!
Good point! Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean about having supplies from many different brands. Sometimes I think I should only use supplies from one brand so I can tag them in social media but then it limits your creativity.
Precisely! Who wants to limit themselves? Not me!
The affiliate link money comes from their marketing budget which is calculated into the retail price of everything they sell.
Thank you
I have decided to quit stampin' up for many of the same reasons.
Thank you.
Just found you, I also have just resigned from stampinup after 4 years. Will follow you now. Good luck with any new ventures you undertake. Cheers Carol from Australia
What made you resign? I am curious. Thanks.
I hope everything works out for you. I also hope I can see some of your cards etc.
Thank you
I know a few former SU demos doing awesome through affiliate links. Keep doing what you love!
Awesome, thank you! That is so good to know. I really feel like I am taking a leap of faith. Your comment gives me hope that I will have success.
I just subscribed to your channel!
Thank you!
I just subscribed to your channel😊 Since She'll she's daughter, Sara has taken over their prices are outrageous. There are other stamp co. that have coordinating inks, ribbon, paper, markers and don't cost as much.Products being equal PLUS made in the USA. NOT Communist China!
What are some of those companies?
Best of luck to you, Leanne! You came across my feed today, and because i had seen a couple others recently quit SU, i was interested in your reason why. I am not a demonstrator, but LOVE making cards to bring joy to people. In fact, I send cards to everyone in my church for birthdays and anniversaries. I just subscribed to your channel because i love your reason for making cards. Hoping to get some beautiful card ideas. Thank you in advance!
Wow! What a wonderful service you provide your church family. That is really amazing. Thanks for sticking around!
Thank you so much. You are very kind. Welcome to the family!
Stampin up products are a little too pricey
Yes! I agree.
I like your style. I just subscribed. Good job! Looking forward to card making by you!
Thank you Carol! So glad you're here.
God bless
Awe! Thank you so much. I hope you'll join me as I travel this journey. Card making is so much fun!
🙏
I need to do this! I will be celebrating my 5th year March 31st and was a I need it all girl! Now I have it all and have found another craft I love! I celebrated 1 year with them yesterday! This direct sales company has a much easier policy for using product and selling after completed. I have subscribed because I like your attitude!
Thank you so much. If you don't mind me asking what is your new venture?
I hear you! Keep on healing!
Thank you!
It is indeed kind of messy 😅💦. I hope you get discovered. I pray the Lord heal you completely from that. Amen
Courage as you continue this journey. From FB and just joined your family
Welcome & Thank you! I'll take all the prayers I can get. May God bless you as well!
Hi im new to your channel
Welcome! Glad you're here.
Hi ya I found your page and sent a message.
Wonderful!
You explained affiliate program very well. You get part of Amazon’s profit by providing the link . . . profit they would not have gained if it were not for your link! I get it!
God bless you, and keep up with your journey.... none of us Kreative's should be boxed in!
Love this
Thank you!
I have not seen the previous catalogs so I don't have a reference point,
Are you happy with the current catalogs?

@@99utrecht You are an absolute treasure 💕🥰
I'm not sure how we contact each other from here though 🤔. Or should I just put my email address in here?
Good morning, LeAnne. You gave an apt explanation of what's going on with so many dems jumping ship. If it wasn't for my downline, I'd jump as well. I'm hanging in long enough to train her then I'm going back to playing with 'all the toys'. Creative Blessings!
WOW you are the 2nd person to leave SU both for the same reason 😀
I also just found your channel tonight, and subscribed 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Thanks so much! Glad youre here.
Simon says stamp makes their stamps in the Good Ole US of A, so I've been looking there first. It feels great to find companies manufacturing in USA!!! 💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸💖🇺🇸
I love that!
Hi There.
Just found your channel. I look forward to watching many more of your videos.
I liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much!
👍
Thanks 😊
Stampin Up better wake up. They are losing some great demonstrators. I'm participating in March Crop and Create Card Making Classes and there are many, many different vendors participating over a 3-days. They all work and support each other. No one product fits all. I buy from many different vendors.
Sounds like a fun event!
Thank you for your comments. Your points about SU are all valid.
Beautifully said. Thank you.
This is the second SU demonstrator resignation UA-cam video that was suggested to me! Wow. And I subscribed! Looking forward to stamping with you!
Thank you!
Thank you Liz! I also buy the knock offs from time to time! They are great.
Right?! This makes me feel like Stampin' Up would like to take credit for a card that we took the time to create!
Hi there I just found your channel and I hope you a fast recovery hugsss from Maryland .. I love your glasses..
Thank yuso much!
Thank you Julie! Glad to have you along for the ride.
New subscriber here. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. I have to say, Think Media seems pretty terrific. I need to do that 1K subscriber challenge too.
I really learned a lot.
Thank you for the tip. I dont want to make anyone sick.
I just found your channel and subscribed immediately . I wish you good health. 😊🇨🇦
Thank you so much. It'll be great to have you around!
