    BASS TRACKER PTO TEAM 165
    After building personal boat projects and sharing those projects build process on UA-cam for the past few years I have decided in 2021 to offer my services to the public under #brigadeboats .
    What you see in this video is Brigade build #2, built April- May 2021.
    Today's project is a Bass Tracker Pro Team 165. The boat was in decent shape, just worn and in need of some rehab. Of course if your going to gut the carpet you might as well go all out right?
    In this video I will cover the full scope of work I did to the Bass Tracker. Removing carpet, replacing 1/2 inch plywood with sheet aluminum, new aluminum framing, added dry hatches, new 20oz bass boat carpet, new wiring, adding Fuse box and switches, adding livewell recirculation and timer, and much much more! I'd say this project escalated quickly!
    I'll show you in this video before and after of the boat project, give an overview of the entire scope of work, including tips and tricks, share the tools and materials needed, show a walk thru of the cometed project, and show the customers reaction upon pick up! Don't miss it!
    GOT A BOAT PROJECT? Let Brigade Boats help you-
    brigadeboats@gmail.com
    For project inquiries.
    Talking to you on camera helps me not talk to the voices inside my head. Thanks for watching, hope this helps someone with their project!

    Aluminum and carpet work is top notch as a always . Only thing I would change is the placement of the switch panel. You have all that unused space in the side panel but if you shove a life vest under the seat you're likely to break a switch or pull a wire.

    great video May I ask a question? I'm building rod lockers and storage boxes out of wood for my 62 starcraft aluminum boat. My question is once I cut the square hole where the lid will be. How much will I need to trim off the piece for the lid to fit flush since there is carpet on the piece I removed to use for the lid? Maybe 1/4 inch?
    Thanks Willian

    Im new to all this, so i have a question. When you ran the wiring and more so the plumbing, i noticed the hoses were against cut raw metal, would it be safer to put a seal on the metal so it doesnt cut the hoses or does it matter? Like i said im new to this so please know im asking for advice and clarity. Ive been watching ur youtube and a few others for over a year now and I love what you do. Brigade boats and TBN are the top 2 I would have build a boat for me. Truly i huge fan of both the channels but im still learning.

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  Рік тому

      Hard to tell exactly where you are referring to specifically. Alk the livewell plumbing was off the metal cutouts, therefore not close enough to rub. Edging can be put on and I typically do if there is any chance of contact being made. Typically same with wiring. Use your best judgment

    Hello Mr. Jones this Kenneth Dixon again. I would like to know about getting my 2002 bass tracker done like you done on one of your other videos. It was the one that the guy brought to you from North Carolina. I'm from North Carolina myself. If you would please let me know what the process is with getting you to do the boat. I'm currently booked for over 1 yr out and am unfortunately not entertaining any new projects at this time. I am a small operation, wish I could take on every project out there, but that's not a reality. Sorry for the late response, thanks for thinking of me.

  • @JohnHansknecht
    @JohnHansknecht 3 роки тому

    Since you are in Georgia, you might have a customer looking for a small aluminum boat ready for a Tiny Boat Nation rebuild. I have a 12' aluminum1977 Smoke Craft shallow v-hull with trailer (new tires and wheel bearings, and trailer deck boards) and 100% running 1975 Mercury 200 20hp (Just pressure tested. Both cylinders are 110psi compression test, lower unit passed 10psi pressure test and was refilled with drive oil) that I'm about to sell online for $1200. I live in Charleston and it has title issues here that prevent me from using it for my own build, but since Georgia does not require title to register a boat or motor, they will be good to go.

    Why not carpet glue through out? What is the advantage of contact cement?

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  3 роки тому +1

      Contact cement is what they use factory. Also what professional boat carpet guys I know use, industrial grade contact cement. Instantly grabs, no cure time. Carpet glue is miserable around bends, especially carpet lid returns. I'd contact cement everything if I could but I'd need an extra set of hands
