My first boat was a 2003 Tournament V 18, that boat rode well, handled well. But the compartments would get in them during heavy rain. Workmanship was poor too. I did modifications my self with electronics upgrades. I had it for 10yrs, the boat was great in shallow water on the Potomac River. Great video!!

I have a 2000 v18 i bought over the winter. Been a bit of a project but i hear ya loud and clear on the moisture in the compartments. I keep it covered outside bc i don't have garage space and its always damp in the compartments. Spending alot of time replacing hinges and such but as expected on 20+ year old purchase.
I am enjoying the layout and handles well on the water. I fish the upper Potomac, western MD.

Well done we have a 1997 bass Tracker ProV17 and an older Crestliner Mirage bowrider might consider doing this as soon as our shop is ready to work in over the winter.

Very nice work guys. I never figured out why Tracker stopped building this hull design? Between the V18 and the All Fish which I believe were basically the same. They looked just like a fiberglass boat compared to the modern mod v boats. I worked in a car/boat interior restoration company for over 7yrs until they closed years and years ago. I enjoyed it very much building as you have here with aluminum for many things. I gave me so much real life useful experience as well. I built many small boats for friends from simple to extravagant for their jon boats and semi v aluminum boats. I still love my fiberglass bass boats but would have no issues owning a boat like this. Thanks for the upload.

My god.....admittedly, I was going thru UA-cam looking at new bass boat reviews for 2021.....I saw the deck of this boat, and said to myself, "WOW! I must have this bass boat! Who ever or which ever company okayed the deck design for this, is/are genius!"

TBN.... Great job on this one. I love everything you guys did with this boat. The artwork on the mat was very cool. The LED lighting is SO cool. I really liked the that. The only thing I didn’t care for was the clear sliding live well lid. Although it is a very cool idea, on camera it didn’t seem very strong. I prefer the standard live well lids myself. Again, great job love your ideas.

I love y’all’s channel! I’ve been following for a couple weeks since my wife and I bought our first boat. A 2008 bass tracker pro crappie 175. It has a rotten floor and needs some wiring but it runs good and gets us out there. I intend to buy some of the materials through your website like the gen x framing and hatch combo kit and some foam flooring. I’ll be relying on your videos because, while I am handy, I’ve never done anything like this and I have limited free time.

Wow....absolutely beautiful. One of the funniest, most gratifying (and hardest) things I ever did was rebuild a big fiberglass fish-n-ski several years ago, and I never took it to this degree. I'm a follower for life. I was curious as to why you went with the turf as opposed to say....the woven vinyl they have out for decks. If you had anything to do over with this project, what would it be??? Also, I noticed some of the storage lids didn't lay flush. Do you know why? Thanks for taking the time to post this, I know first hand the time and energy it takes to do those (properly), not to mention how expensive good cameras are. This was absolutely spectacular, not to mention incredibly inspiring.

Just stumbled across this. I have a newer 2008 version of this same boat with a 115 Optimax. I chose it over a Nitro. I love it and with the right electronic upgrades through the years (Garmin) it competes well in tournaments. I heard they didn’t sell well do to higher price point at the time. Love the hull and front beam design. I need a jack plate though.

  • @othrbro52

I got 1, in March 2020. It had less than 1 hour on it. It is a 2010 hull, with a 2011 merc 150 pro xs. I had to break it in. It was in a garage for 0ver 8 years. I have the build sheet. It has every upgrade available then except fishfinders. It was 34k when bought. I have spent around 2k, water pump, fuel pumps, batteries, trailer tires. It is so stable in rough waters in tournament conditions. My son competes at the high school level. Out of 150 plus boats at any tournament, it is the only TV-18, plus the only one I have seen. Its all business, it’s not a 90k fiberglass boat, but it’s got a lot of storage, and room for two teenagers to fish up front..

This is gonna sound crazy, but for someone like me with an extremely limited budget, I'm wondering if I can add a fishing deck to my old 14 foot fiberglass boat. it's really old, like late 1950s but is super solid and stable, and the hull is shaped very similar to this boat, just smaller.. I might try it just to see if it can be done.. thanks for the inspiration. awesome build, you guys are amazing!!!

I own a 1984 Tracker v16 foot Pro Guide riveted it was powered with a 50hp Meitner 2 stroke. I got the boat dirt cheep it had been sitting on private lake resort for who knows how long. The carpet was awful so I replaced it as I was replacing the old carpet I noticed it was all aluminum not one piece of wood in the boat ate all somebody had reframed the hole boat and deck and put foam in the bottom that was a big plus because I didn’t have to take all the old factory foam out. I coated the hole bottom of the boat with black Armer truck bed liner and sealed off all The rivets. What’s nice about Black Armer is it’s smooth not ruff and if you sand the bottom with 320 sand paper that stuff is permanent. And will not chip off. I roller painted the sides of the boat with Tractor 🚜 paint too it’s self leveling paint so the sides came out smooth as glass and now I’m looking into replacing the old 50hp with a new 30hp Suzuki four stroke. I also added a bohemia top. I wish I could post you all a photo of my 1984 Tracker Pro Guide. The boat looks brand new except the old 50hp that will soon be replaced.

Do you guys work with glass boats? I have a Stratos 176xt - first year they came out (2007). My thoughts are they did not maximize the boat, there could have been a side rod locker that could fit bigger rods, my belief is they could have made the transom stronger to hold a bigger engine (75 hp isn’t enough), and I think the storage could be better. This isn’t a bad little boat, lots of deck space, handles good, and meets most of my needs. I fish a few tournaments each year. I wish I could get to spots quicker and better storage. Just checking to see. Thanks in advance even if you don’t. Keep doing what you are doing! It’s awesome!

NEED ADVICE, PLEASE HELP!!! I am replacing the carpet in my 2004 tracker PT175 with hydro turf, and can you give me an idea of what to do about the gaps left between the lids and deck or boxes due to the carpet being rolled over the edges of the lids? Can I use a rubberized coating that goes on with a roller to cover exposed aluminum that will show after turf is installed??? Would the same coating help with the gaps I mentioned as far as noise reduction and filling in the gaps??? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

You’re either going to have to weld the gaps with Flatbar or get a new hatches

063 but if I had to do it all over again, I would use .090.

Great job guys, I have a 99 V18 (great fishing boat) and would love to have it laid out with the same floor plan as the the lund pro v bass XS, and maybe save $40,000.
