Welcome to another jon boat build from #brigadeboats ! Class is in! Welcome to my ELECTRONICS 101 video! In this walk thru style video, I'll go over my newly completed customer project. Specifically, the total on board electronics package in the boat. I'll show you everything electronic related inside this rig from front to back in depth and in great detail. I'll not only give a walk thru and show you the final result, but explain the process, how I wire connections, show what accessories run on what switches and much more! I'll show you the lights, the switch panel, the pumps, the wiring, the fuse box, the batteries, nav and stern lights, the graph, trolling motor, on board charger, circuit breaker, heck I'll even show the tools and connections used in the project.
You guys have asked for more in depth walk thru videos as a means to see what I did without having to watch a how to video. This video will instantly show you the end result that is attainable but I also hope what I say and explain in this video can give some insight to your project.
I hope you enjoy the end result.
May your tiny boat builds be great.

this boat is incredible. i've been watching your videos and you do some amazing work. great channel.
i lost my 17' jon boat 20 years ago and i'm still sore about it. bought new in perfect condition for 3200 dollars, I had a good trailer and a 15hp nissan outboard and did a few upgrades myself ( decking, lights battery and wiring, a high and a low seat ). it's been 20 years since and i haven't been able to replace it yet. today i come across your channel and see a boat like this that you've worked on and a community around them and wish i was a part of it. i always said my boat was of a class of vessel that few could compare with in terms of ease of maintenance, ease of access to the water and in general excellent stability on the water in just about any condition if you know what you're doing. they make perfect little 2-3 man runners. you're illustrating something i knew 20 years ago but my wife did nothing but run me down over it and it was the first dam thing her fkn attorney went after when she took off because she knew i loved it. if i still had my boat i would drive it over and see if we could work on it together and maybe drop in a line somewhere.

Drove up and down the east coast, but I’ve got my Jon Boat and this video is the perfect template to pick and choose what I need to use for my electric planning. Perfect!! 😎👊

I was told when stopped at night you just run the Stern light and when in motion you run both. Could put it on a switch up for stern, middle is off, down for both? Just how I wired mine. Awesome builds. Puts most others to shame!
Check out a trollbridge also for wiring trolling and starting batteries in an epic way!

Curious if you've ever considered Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries? They weigh about 26 lbs (as opposed to 75 lbs for lead-acid), are totally maintenance-free, and last 2X or more longer than lead-acid. I picked up a 100Ah Renogy earlier this year, and it is absolutely amazing. Plus, the light weight sure helps.
Fantastic build...I continue to devour your videos in prep for converting my 1993 Northwood 12'...

I use lithium in my personal boat and in my customers tournament boat builds we use lithium from Amped Outdoors. This build believe it or not was a budget build. Totally up to the customer, I just present options, pros and cons, cost.

Simple, concise and elegant! Question though….why use blue hatch and cockpit lights? Say as opposed to green or red? Just preference or does blue help with retaining night vision better than the other colors? Just curious Anthony. Beautiful work brother! And yes, mine is coming along. I hope to be finished by spring. Cheers from Copperhill TN!

    • @thomassater3462
      @thomassater3462 2 роки тому +1

Supposedly, RED is the preferred color for night-vision retention. That's why lighting around bombardiers was red. But, I must admit...the blue sure looks cool!

Awesome video! I’m fixing to do my first bass boat conversion… gonna be tough while in the Fall semester of school, but I’m excited. Do you just do these boat conversions on the side or is it your full time job?

Excellent workmanship. Definitely like the way you execute wiring installation. How much does it cost to do a build like this? It is exactly what I've been wanting. Thanks

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats

Cost for me to do it or for you? Too many variables. I've stated before I do not publicly disclose my pricing for many reasons. Material cost, projects vary in labor, and from a competitive business stance. Anyone that has a serious project enquiry can always email me at brigadeboats@gmail.com . I'll do my best to assist you from there.

At 11:15 in the video, you can see a pass-thru grommet for the Lowrance wiring, installed just aft of the nav light socket. What did you use for this? I didn't see it listed in the parts list. Thanks, Cuz...

That is actually a thru hull fitting for a bilge or livewell. I cut the barb off back tk widen it, use in the deck fir wire pass thru.
