I’m getting ready to apply for a job at chick-fil-a, and it has a $600 starting bonus! With that alone I’d be able to find a used jon boat and slowly build it paycheck to paycheck while saving up for a truck at the same time. I’m hoping to build something like this bass tracker.
With an attitude like this one day you will own something way nicer than a Bass Tracker! If more people were willing to work for it and grind, I think the state of affairs in this country would be a bit better. Cudos to you cuzin👊
@@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats thanks man 👊 do you watch dmaxryno? I’m really into the blue collar stuff right now and his brand is called WORKFORIT. He does what I want to do after high school, that being contracting and construction. I’m going into that or into working for dominion energy with my uncle. If I keep up this attitude there is really nothing that can stop me. Even if I had a really nice and fast bass boat, I’d still pay to have a boat build by you or someone like you or even by me to fish electric only lakes because there is just something special about fishing in a lake without giant wakes in a tin can that you build for yourself. The country could really use more people with the go get it attitude, it would make the world a better place in my opinion.
I'm doing a rebuild on a 14' jon boat. Hatches, rod locket etc w/ alum frame. Q: I don't have a garage to store it in. So it's probably going to be sitting outside. What would be the best material to use for finishing the decks. Was going to use carpet. 🤔
Anthony, Hey, I am a first timer on small boats, big boats or any boat at that matter. However, I am retired with nothing but time and found an old 14ft DeSoto Jon boat adrift. Now to the point. I have absolutely no clue as to where to begin on the decking. Since I am an artist, I have many ideas for a paint scheme, but none on where to put compartments. Thus I would like to use some of your ideas. Mainly off your Top Gun boat. Not exact as the bottom of this boat is only 33" and the birth is only 46". So it is rather narrow. And the length is actually only 13.5 ft. But some of the basics. It's Weird for what they call a 4 seater boat! Thanks
Amazing aluminum and carpet work. Very clean. Looks like it came that way from the factory. I love the livewell improvements too. Did you consider finishing the underside of the hatches with paint or foam?
I did. Takes more time and labor and a bit more money, the customer said he was fine with raw aluminum tomato the old factory lids. He's a function over fashion guy and honestly I probably made things a bit too nice for him considering the abuse he will give the boat. lol
I'm thinking about putting 6 guage wire in one I'm about to buy. I've heard it's hard without taking the whole tracker apart. Helpful tips for running wire up to trolling motor?
I don't know. No. This boat was rated for a 75hp we removed. No way the couple added hatches and aluminum I put in replaced hundreds of pounds for te outboard we removed.
Nice work cuz!!! That carpet looks comfy enough to sleep on!
I took a nap on the deck it was nice
This is another excellent build! I like how you are on a mission and complete projects in a timely manner. BTW thanks for the carpet tips and tricks.
incredible. Have a similar boat and wish you were in Colorado to get mine up to speed like this gem...Awesome work..

Can find the build video.... Im thinking of pulling the trigger on this
What kind of carbon fiber wrap do you use?
What is the total weight of the rebuild?
Does it exceed the recommended weight limit?
