Love the cable clutch, new airbox design, traction control, 2 inches thinner, 5 lbs lighter, 5% more Mid to Top oh gheez. Going to get one on order. Thanks SWAP..
Get that dep dwn soon they gonna be hard to get ..like a new Raptor 700R.
why anyone would want traction control on a dirtbike I have no idea.. all the other stuff is great tho for sure
I love the philosophy about the cable clutch, the air fork etc. If it's not better, don't use it. I love a well maintained cable clutch. And I'm not convinced the pull is always easier with hydro.
Yamaha has always been good, but now they are out for #1 and they are not messing around! Excellent bike, to say the least. Great work guys.
Ask them when there gonna make a 350? Thanks for the info and vid.
I doubt they will offer a 350. The main reason is you can de-tune the engine with the power tuner to mellow it out. I’ve ridden a YZ450 that was tuned down with the power tuner and it was really similar to my 350. It will never be a 350, but you can get it really close!
Great questions, can't wait to see the tests come in! I hear Eli can't wait to start racing this one!
Eli's going to destroy the field on this thing , it's really that good.
Sic bike! I really like my 22, glad to see they improved it to be even better. Rider triangle was my only complaint, and they’ve mentioned there is an improvement on it.
Economy be damned! I want one. Love Yamaha. Look nice in the back of a new F150 Tremor boys💯👍
I'm soo glad I grabbed a '21 before all these changes. Dry sump and no ram air plastics to me is a deal breaker. I'm happy with my heavily modified monster energy machine that looks way wicked compared to this new bike.
Ram air doesn't take affect till 120mph so it was never actually working anyway
Very cool updates to an already great bike. I can't wait for the 250 version, which I assume is next year.
Oh man really ? I want to buy a yzf250 but I like the new fender and stuff on this 23 yzf450..
@@Makta972 I hear ya on the look. That said, I will wait for 2024 since the 2023 250 will be a "first year" bike and they sometimes have issues. Especially when they're so fully redesigned like these.
Might have to go blue
Who is that test rider in the video? Tomac dressed in TLD?? It looks like Cortez Co. Whoever it is, he rips!
Bike looks great! I'm a Kawi 450 guy but I'd sure like to ride this new Yamaha. Thanks Swap for this update especially for having the actual Yamaha guys explaining the new bike. I'm excited now.
Dang 😭😮💨 just realizing the bike was just over the mountain at ET3 compound hahah 😂
Always love that Yamaha blue, can’t wait
Thanks SWAP! Some great insights on the all new YZ450F from Yamaha associates. Maybe I missed it but the dry sump engine - where is the oil stored, an internal chamber? 5% more mid to top power - that will be fun! Hope Yamaha can keep the October delivery promise!
My local Yamaha is taking orders in two weeks .. COUNT ME IN
Long live the cable clutch!!!
Good interview! Sounds like YAMAHA has done there homework. 450 shootout will be interesting. Thanks Donn
Nice bike.....Main problem Yamaha failed on was delivery to dealers. Many units not getting to the showroom until 2023 race season is half over. lol Kind of forces you to go with available brands.
23:21 I'll bet I could use 100% of the power and more with a Snow Track hooked up to the back. NEEED MO POWA BABEH ! !!! !!
Perfected cable clutches work better for a reason....it's all physics.
Lack of understanding allows technology to take a wrong turn.
When are they coming out?
Where can I claim one
Does the monster edition have anything other than different plastics?
no
A drink holder for your preferred Monster drink
Is it still is stable and can you control the engine breaking
Excited for this bike, looks like the Kawi frame with the proven Yam engine.
Throw a Magura hydo clutch and Windham/RV2 Renthals on this and its good to go!
wont need a magura. gytr is making a bolt on hydro
Good to hear about all the improvements Yamaha made for the 2023 YZ450F. I know how everbody has praised the Yamaha in the past few years or, so for thier handeling and power but, the power and, so many other things definitely needed to be improved upon. Hopefully most of the weight has been taken off the top of the bike. Yamaha's feel top heavy compared to other bikes...even when you compare it to the same weight Honda 450r the Yamaha feels much heavier. It is really good to see that Yamaha has stepped up thier game and, is listening to and, improving upon what all us riders feel and think that could be improved upon...only about another 5 or, 10 lbs to go!
Nope , it's super super light and flickable . This bike is the ultimate .
@@herbcanter2114 Right...a 450 "light and flickable" lol
To date,, the 18-2022 yamahas are the absolute best looking yamaha 4 strokes ever. Please tell me my 2018 front and rear fenders will bolt up to the new 2023...could care less if it adds weight.
Still likely the most durable bike out there.. time to sell my '20 and move up to an even more sick bike?
When would it be released
How much???
I’m a Honda guy and love the current gen Hondas.. Yamaha is a very close 2nd though.
Honda is garbage !
@@GoGoodin good one.
They should have Dylan break this thing in the last four rounds.
I wish Yamaha would ditch the blue and go back to yellow.
I mean, the cable clutch IS easier to service compared to a hydrraulic clutch. I like the hydraulic clutch on my Husky, but I'm not going to sit here and say that it's superior in all ways to a cable clutch.
Blu cru let’s gooo🤣🤣🤣✌🏽🏁
HONDA AND KTM WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS BIKE . WHATS THE CHANGES ON THE WORKS EDITION?
KTM has lost their way. I’m not a KTM fan if I rode moto I’d get a YZ
When's the WR coming?
2 yrs at the earliest
Hmmm sell the 17 yz250 2 smoke for this thing or na
Now lose ANOTHER 10lbs and you will have it sorted!
Put my deposit down today hopefully its here early december 🇦🇺... cant wait to throw my leg over the beast , costed $1500 more than i wanted to pay so it better be nice 🙏🏼 oh and yamaha , when the f#$k are you bringing out a 300 2 stroke , get with it it's time ...🍾 was a long time ago when I get my yz426f and 5 yz450f's later here i am waiting for the 2023 , you cut me and i bleed blue 🤙🏻
its nice bike, but im starting to feel like all the bikes are starting to look the same now. just different colors really far as number plates and faring plastics go.
Make a 350!
looks fun.
Nobody knows anything except everyone dropped their yz450 review all on same day, just like the stark well kept secret wtf not
We want a Yz250 video anything new?
not a fan of the new front fender???? Looks short.....to short! other than that looks to be bad A##. Whats the price$$$ US
$9,899.00
I like the looks personally.
@@MatthewCross929 I do too
If it's not a 2 stroke, IMHO, which is subjective, it's not worth riding. 4 strokes are more expensive. Much easier to repair. Less money to repair. Can't last the many many years that 2 strokes can, when taken care of well, and preventative maintenance is consistent. 2 strokes also have more torque. As Ken Kaplan says, "The smell of 2 stroke oil, is better than coffee in the morning". The best motorcross racers over the years, that so many people look up to, and aspire to be, all rode 2 strokes. The tree huggers and their ass backwards hypocritical laws, somewhat squashed that, although I know they're still out there to be bought new, although there are much less these days.
Thanks Donn
450fx???
Frame is a dead ringer for a Kawasaki.
And a old crf frame too , good frame!
That looks mean
Whdo honda Yamaha and kawi all copy each others side panel design? y
The interference from Yamaha in the Deegan/Loretta Lynne saga makes me wanna puke everytime I see a Yamaha... 🤮
As these bikes lose weight they gain heavily in price
Same msrp as last year from what I heard from a reputable dealer.
Yuk
Yamaha...You should all be ashamed on how your team handled an Amateur following the claiming rule to a tee...Only for Yamaha to strong arm a dealer who sponsors him....Come on Yamaha we all thought you were better than that!....You'll be lucky if his family doesnt sue you guys over this, along with Tim Cotter, and Brian Deegan
Nobody cares lol.
