I just bought one and I hope it's as good as my old 2009 cause that was the last time Yamaha made a 4 stroke bike I really liked despite owning a 2010, 2011, 2017, 2018.
@@justinmoto929 i did not, i came across a pretty sweet deal on a 2002 cr250 that fit into my budget a lot better lol. I kind of wish i did it now that my 250s giving me so much trouble but maybe in the future.
@Duke Bonde Dirt Bike magazine rates Yamaha # 1 , Swap Moto has Kawi # 1 . The YZ450F is thousands cheaper than the KXSR, has better suspension , more power and has a superior engine mapping system .
It's funny when people make comments like well Tomac likes it. Yeah Tomac has 80k in his bike and is not even significantly close to what you'll be riding.
@@Runk3lsmcdougal BS, it IS significantly close since it's the same platform which means it has all the same frame geometry as stock. Tomac has very expensive suspension but most people would not like it more than stock since most people aren't fast. Same goes for the motor. Stock already offers more than most can use effectively. Don't be blinded by the money spent on him because it doesn't mean what you think it does.
@@grecoconduris6716 I ride primarily hard enduro with occasional desert runs. I'm on a '21 and won't be buying the new bike. I'm after stability at speed and need a much firmer tire for hard braking on rocky terrain. When I tried using lower than 15psi on the mx33's it was almost unridable. Up front I'm still running the factory tire at 20psi for now, but have switched the back out for a Tusk T-45 to get by. For desert I bought an IRC VE35 front and Maxxis Maxxcross Desert IT rear.
@@brentrutchick9381 If 15psi is the "recommended" tire pressure. How is 20psi sky high? Maybe it's not the tires that are too high? Do you ride in rough rocky terrain?
Your comment : "The bike enjoys better forward traction than any other powerplant in the class" is very very interesting , Tomac was asked about his starts and he said the bike is a rocketship and gets great traction at the starts . I just don't understand why this bike gets better traction .
The starts are grated so all the bikes get traction off the start they mean the bike feels like it puts more pressure on the front wheel kind of like a honda.
Swing arm angle to drive line center(check out the fortnine video on the tenere on this), chassis stiffness and overall suspension geometry coupled to a very very powerful engine...... Just my 2c

WHOA IN ORDER TO GET BETTER CORNERING YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP STABILITY??? Yeah no shit. You can't have turn on a dime handling AND stability in fast rough sections.
That Ogio bag sitting next to him like it was a guest on the show. 😆🤣😂
Hell it might as well be. It’s in every bike test video

It's a drinking game at this point. Down the beer everytime you hear narrower. A shot from nimble. Go
One of the best things about the '23 model is less....A LOT less airbox noise.
Cool video. Thanks for the feedback.
Still not a fan but thanks for the input.

@Duke Bonde It would be nice if Kawi had the build quality of Yamaha.

Can you adjust the front end? Yup to 2 mil you did it as I asked the question.
I hate the stock tires. Once I got some better rubber on mine, it was way faster everywhere.
What you put on?

According to pc dyno. It makes 10 hp more within 100 rpm. That’s why you see the wheelies out of turns.
Yea I think they put a turbo on the bike pushes it to 420 hp
