i've run this test with zeskit "certified" 8k cables SEVERAL times and always get, "FAIL". Have already reset it. turned off, and nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Is there anything I can do about this?
They wont work. I tested a dozen cheap amazon basic ones and they couldnt even show a picture. Then I bought 3 Oehlbach Flex ones at 2m (6 ft) for 50 Euros each and not one of them passed either. And I already anticipated it because I had picture and sound cutoffs. You know which ones worked? 2x Audioquest Cinnamon 1.5m cables for 125 Euros each and 1x 2m Audioquest Carbon for 300 Euro (That I use for E-ARC on my Denon X-4800H). Those were the ones that finally passed the test. I didnt want to believe it but forget about cheap or even midpriced cables doing 48gb (Or even 40)...You actually need those damn expensive ones.
are you connecting one cable to IN 8k and other end to ARC (monitor1)?

Is it necessary to disconnect all the speaker cables when running the test?
Not at all. Actually, Diagnostics Mode Is used to test speaker connections as part of a system wide check.
