Hey Zac, thanks for these videos to help me make up my mind. I’m gonna reach out to Kellen about getting the 4700. Keep up with the videos!! Thanks again
hahah. i love the screen name
are there any firmware issues for the 4700?
How audio in movies is the 4700 superior to the 3700?
Are they share the same video processor or different? Is 3700 has plastic front face plate ? Thank you
Does the 3 HDMI outputs acts as a matrix, splitter and switcher? or one can only view one output at a time?
What about dac and video processing.. they both have different dac, but the question is, do they sound same or noticeable diff in sound ? Same way does is make any noticeable difference in video quality? Rest all specs are available on crunchfield.. we can compare it over there but what I want to know is diff between sound quality and video quality.. does it make sense for going 500$ extra for this sound and video quality difference.
How many watts per channel when running a 5.2.4 setup?
Hi 👋 I have a question. I have a 5.1 setup with Dali opticon series front and rear. I am doubting which Denon receiver I should buy. The 3700 or the 4700. Which one you recommend?
Please contact us at 972-322-4607 or email us at: sales@dreamediaav.com we would be more than happy to assist you and answer any questions that you may have.
Wish there were options to have more power instead of multi zones at the same price as the 3700. I'd be willing to bet most people would prefer more power over multi zones and features such as heos etc for the dollars spent.
These companies/manufacturers do this on purpose. They put what people want more of in higher priced objects. Then they stick what most people dgaf about or barely use in the current one. Also know as...Hey can I get 50 watts per speaker more....Here take another zone and HEOS !!!! ....Can I get 2.1......Take a old school input 🤣
spot on the money ! i dont want/need 3 zones and 11 channels , what i want is a 200watt 5.2 amp with Phono that is great for movies and powerful enough to drive my analogue ins for stereo with control and volume
@@jeremyholmes3911 nowadays you need at least 7.2, the Atmos/DTS X height channels are a game changer!
That's the only hook they have, if they did that then the 3700 wouldn't be relevant
哇!很漂亮耶!我也想買一部4700H,不過到處的影音店都還沒有貨買很可惜。謝謝分享片段!😄👍

Is ok to get Denon 4800h instead of 4700? I saw that 4700 has extra hdmi and some other stuff
Question I’m interested in getting an 8K receiver. If I’m using small satellite speakers like the Energy Take Classic or the klipsch Reference Theater pack which receiver should I get the 3700h 4700h or 6700h
contact (972) 322-4607 or sales@dreamediaAV.com for business inquiries. We're happy to help
3700h is more than enough for the smaller energy take/klipsch reference theater pack
@@Playboyer670 4700 have Auro 3D and i heard even the Auromatic upmixer can make a big difference when using it!
Audio difference?
What about the 2 antennas and the auto sinking from your home computer with iTunes, to the receiver. or the speaker set up with supplied tower mike with the x4700h receiver, when I bought my x4700h I asked if I could get a discount he knocked off 160 bucks, the receiver never fails to surprise with newly found features. Note interest free financing 2 years Best Buy like 100 bucks a month, pretty good I think.
What about sound difference?
Hi, I have one question. My setup is 5.2.4 , and I'm using two 4 channel amp for front, surround and atmos, except Center channel. I know the center channel should be connected to a mono block amp, but for now till I buy an amp, Can I feed the single center channel speaker from AVR it self? Is it possible to damage the AVR's internal amp or no? because all the output should be set from pre amp to 9.1 and getting the only center channel from AVR amp, then bypassing and feed the rest for external amp from pre outs. So it means the internal AVR's amp only running the center channel. I don't know you understand what I mean or no? Thanks in advance.
Ex. 3700h can only give 105w per channel. If u run over 100% , you can damage speaker, not avr
@@user-wr7lm9hy6q Thanks but you didn't understand what I asked, anyway this is 7 month old comment, I tried and it worked, now I'm running it with monoblock amp.
where to put subwoofer there? in the "pre out"?
Yes, there are pre outs for 2 subwoofers
Hi, can the 4700 output 3 different hdmi sources to 3 different outputs (Main zone, zone2 and zone3)?
Hey. Bud. I need to buy the X3700h. Are you from the US ?
Nice video, quite useful. How about a 3700h vs. 3600h.
3600 dosent have a 2.1 hdmi input and ouput, just the hdmi 2.0, so no 4k at 120hz or 8k at 60hz.
I am holding on my 3500h still. I don't game and until 8k content is available I will NetFlix and Chill. :) (I am running 5.0.2 with Klipsch Chorus II, Academy, RP-500SA, and RP-250S in an apartment, if I add a sub my neighbors will hate me).
Just ordered the 3700, I just got an OSD 7 channel amp so power btwn the two the extra watts is not an issue.
I see the 4700 has two Trigger Outs; does that mean it can have two separate amplifiers plugged into it?
yes, you can have two external amps but there are power amps like Emotiva that have an input and an output and you can daisy chain them as many as you want only using just one output of the receiver, i hope it make sense and i made my self understood, English is not my native language!
Nice vid
as far as I know, the X4700H can also upscale analogue video to hdmi, wich the X3700H cannot.. ?
This could be usefull when using classic game consoles for example, or other classic video equipment
I still prefer my classic games to look classic....aka terrible....1985 8 bit Mario needs to stay 8 bit even on my 2020 $4200 4k oled 🤣🤣
@@o.c.g.m9426 it will still look classic, there is no magic and you wont have any ray tracing, lool. Is that you can hook an analog signal and you can use a HDMI out to your TV.
I think you forgot Auro3D which only the 4700 has.
exactly
First thing I thought of also.
I have the 2700 but I’m gonna take it back and get the 47. It’s closer to my 3808ci from 10 years ago (amp power).
Is Zach single Dr. Bilal?
Auro is forgettable. Not even available on any movie in the US lol
@@32toddv auro is the panacea
I tried both models. 3700 i was at 70% volume. Switched to 4700: sounded a lot better for some reason but Bluetooth didn't work right on the 4700. I tried two units now from Denon. Can't get the Bluetooth to work right on the 4700's. Also USB port will not recognize the iphone
Same in my store, our demo 4700 doesn't Bluetooth properly but my personal one does
I went with the 4700 just for the front HDMI so I don't have to pull out the unit if I ever need to display a temporary video source.
Are watts really important? I have 100 watts speakers
@David 😂
Hi Zac, I have yamaha 3030, i want to upgrade ? please suggest me should i go for 3700 or 4700. after this vedio my heart says 4700, but tight on funds. Am i missing any thing if i go to 3700. Please advice.
save and get what you want
Get that 3700 bro. I got the 4700 and wish I wouldve saved the 500. I use mine super basic 5.2.4 I don't use HEOS or zone 2 or 3 or any of that extra crap.
Hi friend, your video so cool, could you help us make a video about our new projector ?
I want to buy the 4700! Help!
Is it me or 3700 looks slightly beefier?
You left out the 4700 has Auro 3D.
How is the 4K pass through
No issues that I have seen
the chandelier is very weird but i kind of like it
Can I run a 5.2.4 setup and 2 speakers patio Zone 2 with the 3700H?
yes you can
Yes you just need an external 2-Channel amplifier for the Zone 2 speakers.
But to be clear the 3700 is capable of running 5.2.4 WITHOUT an external amplifier correct??
@@billcozad7295 correct
@@mikahl757 I have the 3700H and zone 2 doesn't need anything, just plug the cables to the speakers. No additional amp needed. Zone 2 even comes with it's own power button and makes the same sound as main zone when you turn it on (that loud click that receivers do).
good compared
I think only the diff is 20w power more in 4700
Hi Guys. I am wondering about the heat issue with Denon. Have the heat issue been reduced/rectified? Particularly for the X4700
Same here in X2500H ...I meant heating issue
Use an external power amp hooked to the pre outs if you have issues with heat!
I went with the 3700, not worth the extra 500 for the extra few features, and i won't use Auro3D
Price drop on the X4700 to $1499, I had the same thought as you, but now for $300 an extra 20W/channel seems alluring.
@@juanmacias4854 Correct! Also, for those waiting for the new 4800 which has the same power as the 4700h, the 4800 will cost you $1,000 more! The only difference between the two is that the 4800 comes with 4 independent subwoofer outputs. The 4700 has two. Also, if you are getting the 4800 because of the promise of DIRAC, well, when it does come out it will cost you another $500 on top of the $2,500 for the unit.
@@nebtheweb8885 seeing how long it's taking for it to come out I'm not even sure it's worth it.
I think I'll just wait until that becomes the standard and the prices go down.
U forgot the main sound format ..auro 3D.. can't believe this!!!
hi from Brasil ✔ 00:21 am .
Two triggers on the 4700
All I see is when it's in your cabinet, no one cares what it looks like but the sound only. That front hdmi will probably never get used. They also want to know about your trip to the Carribean you made (because you saved 500 bucks)
4700h is better. If you buy it right now it's updated you don't have to worry about defective chip hdmi 2.1
Oh I just heard you said the US lol. I am from Canada. I want one x3700h plz.
Then buy it
@@CMDR_Birb I ended with the X4700H. It's awesome .
The difference between 105W and 125W is 0.8 dB.
It isn’t about volume.
Two trigger outs on the 4700
Thank you for your comment! That is correct!
Weird my 3700H isn’t a 9 speaker avr
It is tho
@@mohitkatta3031 how? Thank you
@@malinoisnation9392 i mean it is a 9.2 channel avr means it supports 9 speakers correct me if i am wrong because i am going to purchase today. thanks
One has auro-3d one does not
I bought the 4700 for auro 3d the 3700 didn’t have that
Correct’ the Auro upmixer is quite nice
Not very fluent while expressing the zones and power too..
If I wanted to buy a used car I'd go to a used car lot. Talk normal and maybe I'd listen to your review.
