Perfect timing. I’m in Delaware and my son is in Chicago for the year. He has his allergies and has immunity issues. This will be a nice treat I can send him💗 He is just 18 and is a dancer on Scholarship with Joffrey Ballet. He is trying to be conscious about what he is putting into his body and how is is treating our world in terms of waste and equality💗

I foraged & picked my own elderberries for the first time this year. I added essential oils of black pepper (good for pain), clove, tumeric & OnGuard. I also used the sticks of cinnamon & made my first elderberry syrup. It's helped me & my daughter when we felt like we were coming down with a cold. I have a low immune system & often take it even when I'm not feeling bad. Love it!

Thanks Jill. I've been wanting to give this a try since last March when we had a mild case of covid-19. Only problem is finding the elderberry now is so difficult and expensive.. just got word that azure standard is going to be setting up drop routes in ct , so super excited about that until we are able to move to our new homestead in VA. Then I'll definitely be planting my own lol. Enjoying your channel so far.

Your guardian angel was watching out for you! In short: Elderberry has similar properties to ibuprofen and should be not taken for an *active* case of coronavirus. Here's a lengthier version, from a microbiologist at Appalachian State, "Yes! Elderberry activates your immune system and has been hypothesized and shown to act similar to ibuprofen. Its associated with worse outcomes with lungs and the cytokine storm that destroys lungs and causes the ground glass opacity associated with severe lung damage."

Elderberry syrup is great...we add a bit of lemon and star anise to ours too.. I’ve found over the years that I more prefer making Elderberry juice (which really is all the ingredients without so much honey). It makes a great drink additive by mixing with a little sparkling water over ice (my version of soda/pop 😁) or mixed in herbal teas... i find the syrup much too sweet and it doesn’t get used so readily. I have it just about everyday instead of waiting to feel under the weather... rarely ever get sick anymore. Thanks for sharing!

Is that ceylon cinnamon? I'm excited to try your syrup recipe. I ended up ordering some a couple months ago. I tried someone's water kefir version and that was 👎. The syrup has been awesome for sinus headaches with cedar fever here. It's great when you add some orange and ginger water kefir or kombucha afterwards to help give a boost of probiotics. I'm still learning. With my asthma, this is my 1st season not to get sick and laid up in bed with allergy induced asthma.

It last for 6+ months in our fridge, usually we use it up before that 6 month mark, I’m sure it would last longer though. And the sovereign silver we only take when sick (we use it like we would an antibiotic) and that’s 5ml.
And thank you so much! I use a face serum that i make, it has jojoba oil, geranium essential oils, valor, frankincense & a dry skin oil from YL
