I learned how to make kambucha watching you tube vids. I brew a gallon of kambucha per week. It gives me 7 jars that I drink during the week. My next batch is ready to bottle and it's a great system for me. I love ginger raspberry and apple cinnamon.

We started making the Booch last year. First it was our daughter's project, then she got tired of it. Now our son makes it. He does 3 gallons at a time. He never gets to the 2nd ferment. He just drinks it from the big container lol. We got our 3 gallon drink dispenser from Sam's online. It was VERY inexpensive, is glass, and has a stainless spigot! Score!

Totally new to this ..so I've got questions. If I purchase the essential starter kit on your list, it comes with scobey, filter cover & jar ..just add tea, sugar & filtered water for first round? For 2nd step I'll need to get pop top bottles, fruit, & another gal jar to began a new start from the kit made product? Any thing I have missed?? Last question (for now ..ha) how much to start out drinking? Thanks for sharing this process in layman terms and esp adding a goods needed list.❤

Yes, the scoby does eat the sugar. But the 2nd ferment can have a high sugar presence. If sugar is a concern, I would suggest adding ginger to your 2nd ferment and skip the fruit. Kiwi and raspberry have very low sugar content. Hope that helps. Grace and peace.
