Get a 2018 with the 4.0T V8, real buttons, and the dual clutch for half the price if you can (had one 3 years and I love it). Also, that’s the only year the previous gen had the updated turbo oil screen that isn’t recalled.
I have a friend at car meets with 2016. He absolutely adores his, and, with an exhaust, intake, and tune, he said he was making well over 550 horsepower. That 4.0T seems to be reasonably reliable for a German engine. He's up to 120K on his and hasn't had any significant issues. He uses it to drive long distances for business regularly. I'm more paranoid about the current-gen Audis. My aunt bought a brand new 2022 Q8 only to trade it on a Defender a few months later because it was having so many issues. It spent weeks at the dealer.
@@hammycow26 Those 4.0t’s can make some good power on the stock turbos. With just an intake and on the E85 file from IE, they make a little over 650hp/760lb-ft of torque. On 93 its still making over 600/650tq. Not bad at all, almost a 200hp increase just from a different file and simple intakes, less than $1k of modification. As far as your aunt, i hope it works out, Land Rovers aren’t known for reliability. Sounds like she got a bad apple with the Audi.

I have a family friend who bought a brand new 2017 Q7 (the first model year for the current gen). It also had a ton of issues (A/C system failures and electronic issues). She ended up trading it on an Acura MDX after being impressed with my mom's MDX. My mom was initially considering the Q7, but that happening to one of her best friends turned her off. She's about to trade the MDX for another new MDX. After 100k miles, the car has never had a single issue, not even a rattle. Meanwhile, my neighbors have owned their 2018 S5 Sportback for 5 years without any issues. I own a MK6 GTI. It's a problem child, but I love it. I definitely wouldn't consider another German car until I'm out of law school and have a high income. They're wonderful, but they can drain your pockets.

Pretty neat that it gets the same motor as the RS5. I thought they went with the S4/S5 3.0T but I'm sure the extra torque is very much appreciated in a bigger, heavier car than those two and it also definitely makes you miss that 4.0T a little less! The 3.0 is a pretty good sounding V6 already but the 2.9 has that extra bit of aggressiveness to its sound that I love. Not dissimilar to the kind of rough sound you get from the giulia quadrifoglio twin turbo, dare I say.
I think the Audi/Porsche 2.9t sounds much better than the Giulia’s 2.9t. Subjective, of course. If you listen to both with careless downpipes paired with the stock catback (to open up the natural sound), it’s not even close.
Idk if you look for feedback on the editing, but watching this on my Sony XBR 95-series, the IR purple shadows and noisey blacks were a little distracting. For reference, I dropped the black level to 42 (normally 50), set my gamma to -2 (normally 0), and enabled random and digital noise reduction, which I normally disable bc they flatten details and introduce smearing. I hope that feedback is helpful. Your POV drives are excellent, and I always enjoy your content!
The dealers order most of the colors, not much is just “sent” to an audi dealer. It’s a trendy color and an S6 is definitely ordered by the dealer or customer. Other brands I can’t speak for

yes!! Finally some praise for the audi cruise control stalk!! I have yet to drive a car with a better cruise control UX layout. Love that stalk in my C7 A6 :)
Yes, the gauge cluster has about 3 or four settings. You can even minimize the gauges and center a google map in f ull screen, which looks pretty cool. Audi displays are still some of the best in the business, super crisp and high contrast.
There are three layouts. I prefer the second one with the tach in ladder form and center of the dash. Looks sportier. You can also alter each one in several ways. Probably nine or more total various layouts. Pretty neat..
Previous generation C7 had the perfect interior for me, plus the gauges looked really clean and watch-face like, which were fantastic. Engine, looks, perfect interior, were the things that the C7 S6 did really well. I don't mind this C8 S6, love the 2.9L V6 still, but the 4.0L V8 was a treat.
Audi is usually in mid cycle when the other two are refreshing. The current gen Audi 6/7/8 are newer than the previous gen BMW and Mercedes of similar classes

Interesting fact: The s6 in Europe has the 3.0 TDi v6 with 344 hp and even if it doesn’t sound as good as a petrol s6 it pulls so strong!
but that diesel s6 has fake exhaust tips that's why i don't like it😆
Or u could get an a6 allroad that is cheaper, has the same engine with the same power and is really good looking with all the chrome.
The reason it pulls so hard is because the TDI S6 makes 517lb-ft of torque (!!!!)

The regular A6 gets the S4/S5 3.0T as the upgraded engine option from the base 2.0T.
