This is great news. I purchased one knowing of the limitations, and it is still one of the best units I have used at this price point. This was 4/5 months in the making but glad they have incorporated this, not a big user of Fx, but it adds some usable options.
Im happy the Effects issue updated and now finally, able to use on laptop with Virtual DJ! Although I do not use virtual DJ, I would have liked to see if integration with Serato for those of us who would like to use it with laptop and without
Thanks for all the videos btw. I always wonder if having a controller Numark Mixtrack Pro FX comparing to a 5000$ controller if there's really a difference quality of the sound that will come out to a Line Array Quality speakers ( or any other good speakers)? Thanks !
Dunno if you still watch these comments, but the current firmware/software is engine 3.4.~ and I am wondering how you arrange the beat grids to stack horizontal like that, no matter what I do/press on mine? I'm am using usb stick for source with no USB, and wifi/Bluetooth off.
I have only used this twice and I’m having issues with the right side of the mixer. The loop, cue and rolling barely work and I’m not able to even play the track. Does anyone have any advice on how to properly fix it? I have updated and even tried rebooting it twice. Hopefully someone can help it’s disappointing I haven’t had it for a one month yet.
@digitaldjtips . I hooked up a display bar to the mixstream pro and now i see everything without looking down. Where can i send a photo or a video so you can check it out?
I'm loving it, got it for teaching, and it's got killer functionality in a tiny rig, one of the funnest tools I've used in 20 years djing. The new fx fixes my only gripe with it, the implementation is great.

I was going to buy one however after a bad experience with a ddjaero concerning prepping tracks on a laptop in rekordbox can you confirm tracks can be played without prior preparation on a laptop please? Ie can I just plug in a USB containing mp3 files, then load and play them? Another question if I may? Another important one for me is do you think this unit can be connected to the Internet via a mobile phone hotspot? Many thanks
Yes you can just plug in a USB stick with music. If you plug a usb in to the unit then eject it (safely) it'll make a file called engine library, put all your playlists and music in there 👍. Hotspot question, I'm near sure you can do this also. ☺️
the mixstream pro didn't have any HID abilities before, right? just like the Prime Go. does this update mean the Prime Go might get HID support soon as well?
@@digitaldjtips i'm 100% sure Atomix would have had a device mapping released for it for a long time if it was technically possible. Mixxx is a completely open platform that you can get any MIDI/HID device to work with if it shares the input data via USB and i haven't seen anyone do that with the Prime Go. that tells me that the Prime Go simply doesn't share any input data via USB. that's why i asked because the mixstream pro was in the same basket until now from what i can tell. but regardless, thanks for replying Phil :)
Since I updated I am no longer able to connect to my beatport account..just says check Internet connection...my WiFi is fine as I can connect to beatport on laptop and also the app..anyone else having this problem?.. And I can't find where to reset to factory settings!!!....
@@digitaldjtips well it wasn't the WiFi.. apparently after the update you need to upgrade you beatport subscription...the basic 11.99 no longer let's you use a dj controller...I'm now paying 14.99...cheeky sods...would have been nice of them to tell me before updating...had to search on fb for the answer...
If only next they can have some settings to assign different effects to the effects pads or even to the layerd pads...do you think that's possible and maybe coming ?
Finally! bought this near on release, always been a bug of mine, the other was the inability to disable crossfader, you can now do that too, as well as the ability to press the dot button to get to the engine lighting panel! also the nudge sensitivity has a new low "min" setting, which for me aint a biggy but deffo useful. Just wondering with the efx, can you do a delay or echo effect, and stop the song and have the effect still go a bar or two? It's that one dj trick I'm currently learning, and would love it if this unit could do that! Thanks.
Hi Dave, yes i do this on the MSP to transition from one track to the next sometimes (although for some reason the effects only work intermittently on my unit now, not sure why). All you need to do is when you are approaching the point you want to transition, with the Echo effect already selected you flick it to On or Hold - i prefer Hold because you can let go of the switch - and press Cue. This will keep going for a few seconds with the volume fading and then you can bring in track 2.
I recommended this unit for a friend to buy, since he didnt have a laptop... and i was planning on just giving him a USB filled with Mp3s to mess around with, Are you not able to set cue points from the unit itself.. ? or the USB needs to be analyzed first with laptop / engine ?
You can set cue points and loops on the unit, of course. Still, you should analyze music through software before to make sure the beat grids are correct.

I’ve used this unit for 3 gigs now and one of my main gripes was wet / dry control for fx, so this is a welcome change.

From memory you hold down the View button, or Shift + View. Not had time to check though.

Sounds like a hardware issue, if you've only had it less than a month, I'd send it back as faulty.

No, as it doesn't have Parameter buttons (from memory)

Not sure about that, guess that'd be up to Virtual DJ as they have to do the work. But I would guess no.

It's a firmware update, so works with all models.

Yes, you can, using the Mixstream Pro like a DJ controller.
Since I updated I am no longer able to connect to my beatport account..just says check Internet connection...my WiFi is fine as I can connect to beatport on laptop and also the app..anyone else having this problem?..

Try deleting your wifi and re-adding it to the mixstream.
