Haha thank you so much! That not only means a lot, but also helps my channel! To be honest, I could probably remind myself of all of these tips everyday anyway... It's so easy for me to fall back into certain habits (like speeding up.... sometimes the camera timer stresses me out and makes me letter too quickly!). Thank you so much for watching!
I’m broadening my horizons. I’m taking up self taught UA-cam lettering, self-taught UA-cam make up, self taught UA-cam eye makeup up, self taught UA-cam magnetic lashes, self taught UA-cam nail polish, gel nail, dip powder gel nail, binging on Netflix, Amazon Prime, eBay, wish and Amazon. Being in quarantine is driving me crazy. I’m a person who doesn’t know how to wear make up or do nails but I’m ordering kits because I feel that with UA-cam, I can do anything. It all looks so easy, until I try it, then I get frustrated, and find a new hobby. Lettering is it now. Drawing will be next. Then I may want to do crafts, who knows. Maybe sew something. Hopefully I can find something to do that will also let me live on a small homestead. 1-2 acre. I’d also try to start a sanctuary for the dogs in Korea’s meat market trade. I’d rescue them, then try to rehabilitate them and turn them into PTSD dogs for Veteran’s. I’d like to sell produce from the farm to help subsidize the sanctuary. The farm could also be a program to teach homesteading and to let people actually experience it to see if it is for them. Many people want to try but are afraid. Here, they will find out if it’s for them or not. It can also be a bonding thing for family and, or friends.
Thank you so much! My hope is that you don't have to buy anything fancy and can use any brush pen you already have! Crayola Markers also work! But I do have a beginner brush pens recommendation video on my channel if you want more details.
@@HowtoHandLetter You bet! You're channel is such a great inspiration to me. I started my lettering journey about 1.5 years ago and I'm just started to really get comfortable with it. I think you really have to build that muscle memory. Anyway, can't wait for part 2 😊

Love your video thanks for all the tips. Not being critical but practise is the verb and practice is the noun as in the practice of a doctor etc. Easy to remember as ice is a noun and in practice the noun. Going to practise now😊
thank you so, so much for creating the 7 days mini course and for making it free. i've been looking for something like this for ages as I'm not in a position to pay for these worksheets. please keep up the good work!

I have question. When I start my down strikes of the y, u, l or any other better that starts with a down stroke, the top of my line is always crooked. How do I make it straight?
You are welcome! Thank you so much for sharing & watching! Do you mean the top of the stroke is angled? This can depend on which type of pen you're using and also how quickly you're pushing down. Which brush pens do you use?
ooh we're the same..i use my thumb, pointer and mid finger to hold my pen and the ring finger as its resting place hahah. my writing is pretty decent too . when i was a kid nobody told me how to hold a pen.

I'm not sure if this was every school but, when i started learning calligraphy it came easy i think because when i was younger in primary we always had lessons on handwriting and we practiced hand lettering and it was compulsory that we wrote like that.
Wait, not everybody started with a couple packages of Zebra Metallics that were heading to the trash and the only unused paper you had. Which happened to be a case of 10 year old 3x5 index cards? I actually didn't know brush pens existed before about 2 weeks ago and I'm 40. Been doing a few cursive alphabets and a dozen or so signatures every day. I also practice my cursive with with regular ink pens whenever I can as well, just writing whenever it's convenient. The change and improvement in my handwriting already is drastic. ~feels good~

Just recently got interested in the hand lettering. Not only I am a beginner, I haven't even start this hand lettering journey yet. I'm still in the stage to research how and where to begin. My handwriting is awful, and if practicing calligraphy could improve my handwriting, that would be great. Thank you
