My husband and I had a kosher conversion 19 years ago. We made Aliyah almost 8 years ago and moved to the north of Israel (7 miles from the Lebanon border) We love our life! Becoming a part of the Jewish nation has had, and has many challenges for us due to the threat from the North. However, becoming a part of the Jewish nation is the greatest accomplishment of my life and the greatest honor and privilege. After October 7 friends and family asked us if we are coming back to America. We'll never leave. We're not going anywhere. Our fate is with the Jewish people.

I bear a sefardic surname also and am now investigating about it and judaism. I'm feeling a call but just don't lnow what to do. Currently I'm reading books and articles, I listen to videos and I'm beginning with the hebrew alefbet. I have a Siddur for the woman and practice some
Basic prayers. The past weekend I tried to keep the spirit of Shabbat and it was great: rest, family life and no youtube videos at all. Really soothing. I love the spirit with which jews celebrate! It speaks to me. Any advice is welcome.

@@tgr5772 G’d is the center of our lives! The first thing we do in the morning, even before we get out of bed, we thank Him.
All day long, we thank G’d and praise Him for even the tiniest thing.
The men pray for hours most days (ideally, every day); we ladies pray as much as we can manage, but we usually cannot pray as much as the men when we have children and with the duties of running a Kosher home, which is, itself, a service to G’d.
Studying the Torah is all about learning of G’d and how He wishes us to live. Praying Psalms and reading the Proverbs are very important to me personally.
Of course, when we aren’t praising and thanking G’d and studying His Torah, we are doing acts of lovingkindness to our fellow humans.

I felt lost when I left xtianity. I wasn’t a Jew, I wasn’t a xtian, I was nothing. Even being Noachide seemed like an easy cop out. All the benefits, none of the work. I came to understand the joy of being Noachide. As Rabbi said, the whole Messianic age is about making Noachides out of idolaters and atheists. Teenagers are a problem?? Oh wow, I walked into a shul when I was seventeen after figuring out that the Torah is true and the Jewish people are the am Nivchar. Well, I noticed. People were not friendly (except for one chap who actually helped me throughout the service). People almost but ignored me. But from that first Shabbos on, I went faithfully to shul and slowely but surely people became more convinced that it was not a passing phase. But it was hard!! I felt like a pariah, a nobody. HaKodesh Boruch Hu gave a tremendous strength! Four years later I finally made it to the Mikveh, I was already in Israel then. But it was absolute hardship. Not being able have Jewish friends (when I was in Europe) because I was not like them, and not being able to have non-Jewish friends (the differences became to big). Now I am already Jewish for 23 years and never for a moment regretted it. Life is not easy, but it is fulfilling. Boruch Hashem. Shanah Toivah u Metukah to everyone!

I Could not read the new testament for 3 years now. When I became a Christian in 1983, I fell in love with the bible. I began reading thru every year. I fell in love with God almighty. I appreciated that through christianity I fell in love with my Heavenly Father. I went to church regularly and when I got baptized with the Holy Spirit a hot heat went through me and a shalom hit me that I didn't want to ever lose. I prayed to never lose that. I never knew what real pace was. I was always attracted to Jewish people and had a friend that told me I could ask a rabbi three times he would show me how to convert. Anyway, I have always prayed to your God to be taught how to keep all His feasts. I had to wait till my husband came into this faith. Christianity never worked for him. I started reading the Tanakh through last year and this is what I do daily. I I love Ez 20 that says He will bring us into the wilderness and contend with us there. Separate the rebellious from the ones that truly love Him. Only those will go into His land and there He will receive our offerings. Right now I am in Leviticus, 1 Samuel, and Psalms. I read 2 chapters of the Torah, 2 of the Prophets and 2 of the writings. Leviticus . I kept the Feast of the Tabernacle a few years ago with my son, cause he loves Hashem the way I do. We have longing to go and live in Israel. The last day of sleeping out side inn a tent. The llast day was unforgettable. We woke up in the morning and there was a shalom and peace all over North Hollywood, CA, my daughter in law was late for work. My son and I took her too school my grand daughter. There were noo cars anywhere. This is before covid. The haze or mist was every. I believe when you take the time to honor Him by keeping one or every feast like we should. You get to see His glory. I just finished reading where Aaron and his sons were separated and dedicated to Hashem. Then after the week dedication. They offered up the offering the next day like Moses told Aaron to. Moses had spoke to the people what was about to happen the day before that they would see Hashems glory. When they did they fell on their face and sang to Him. My mother took the time too do a genealogy she said that my father lineage was Levite. It didn't mean anything to me till I was baptized with the Holy Spirit. It was the old testament that made me fall in love with Elohim. I always apologized to Him about the sacrament. I will continue praying to the God of Israel.

But Hashem lead me to adopt the Jewish beliefs and to be adopted by Hashem himself as her daughter through the Torá (Tanach) Sidur ( Shabath in Fridays and Saturday services and Cabala studies) all day week’s Zohar reading, scanning Hebrew’s letters and studying Jumash week parashat! All this transformed my life to be righteous Jewish! I love my Eterno creator, Hashem my father of mercy!
I requested my Jewish name and Rabby Paula Feldstein in Washington heights directed me in a ceremony to get my Jewish name: Margalit! I feel privileged for what Hashem did! I always thank for whatever I received from my Jewish family through the memebers that respect and accept my friendship through the Hashem’s people! Thank you, Rabbi Singer, for this topic. I once asked the question "why do Jews not accept Jesus as the Messiah" and your video that answered this question popped up. As I watched then read I was released from the slavery of Xtianity. Right away I wanted to 'convert' to the faith and the nation because I was in a state of euphoria in my newly discovered freedom, instead I have spent the past few years listening to online Rabbi teach and speak, including you of course, and came to understand that I don't NEED to convert that it's just fine for me to stay a Noach and I can still learn what Hashem wants of me as one of his creations... leading me to make a choice, with free will, to follow the 7 laws of the covenant of Noah... you are helping so many people turn toward Hashem and away from idolatry. If I live long enough I may consider conversion, which requires me to move from my home, and I'm an age what makes this difficult but who knows what HE has in store... for now I learn and walk in freedom from xitanity/idolatry.

Todah Rabbi Singer! I decided to attend Temple before converting and I started attending Temple back in January of this year. I stopped practicing Roman Catholicism back in early November of last year. I will be attending my seventh Introduction to Judaism class and I love it and I have also studied the Hebrew alphabet and now I am studying Hebrew words and grammar. I am more at peace than I have ever been since I left the Catholic faith. There's a lot of deception in the Catholic faith. GOD is not first with Catholics unless you put Jesus and Mary In there then then GOD exists.

My both parents left the christian church before I was born. Jews taught us who God really is and we learnt how to perform prayer for Israel, communal living, having 1 day of rest a week, building and sharing wealth during a crisis. The Netherlands is becoming a very sensitive and knowledgable country, that's a blessing in itself. If you are not scared of sin and you are embracing godliness miracles will happen. Now I am hoping He will grant me aliyah. But I know His plan is good and the world will respect his country again. The world is full of mystery and faith even as we are entering the scientific era, it doesn't change a thing.

What do you need this for when you're fine as a righteous gentile?" Also you will be viewed as strange by your own family, not to mention the social and work-life challenges. 😂 I did everything the Rabbi said not to do. I called, told the Synagogue I was coming, showed up, was checked by security, and told the security guard I was there to convert. They were nice and let me go there for a while. I moved within walking distance but I think they were worried I was one of those undercover Christians and since I'm a single woman, that made things worse. People stopped talking to me and I felt alone. I still live in the Jewish community but do all my study online. If I can find a husband willing to convert with me, I might fit in better. Not so easy to do. If I'm meant to convert, Moshiach won't come until I'm finished. If my conversion is not necessary for G-d's plan, I won't convert. Thanks for sharing the advice Rabbi. To anyone else in America, I started attending shul prior to October 7th and security was heavy (big armed guards with desert eagles). No doubt it is heavier now. My mind is prone to wander towards Atheism. I just can't believe that a man was sealed behind a tomb by Romans and those very same Romans didn't just move the body. And then all the people thinking they saw a totally different man. That just looks like an elaborate ruse by Rome to cause division amongst the Jewish people, and then it got out of hand when Constantine converted and Christianity took over the Roman Empire.

Comment on the last few points that were made about people who have Jewish roots who do not think they're Jewish. When I went to school (secular public school) during the '60s, this was only a few decades away from the European horrors of the '40s. Many of my schoolmates had Jewish surnames. A good number of them had no idea that they were Jewish, and their parents actually did not want them to know they were Jewish.
There's more to that story. When my schoolmates with the Jewish names saw my eating matzah during certain times of the year, or not being at school during certain times of the year, and hearing my explanations regarding that; and my inquiring if they were Jewish, the discussion got to the point which, several of the parents of these schoolmates came to me and to my parents, insisting that I not talk to these schoolmates about anything Jewish. It was a strange, and bizarre for me as a pre-teen to experience this as well as distressing for me to see how these parents thought they were raising their children in such a manner. They were clearly terrified and it was very clear that they thought they were only doing what was best for their children.
A few of them just moved out of the neighborhood eventually.
The point is, out of dread, many folks who are completely Jewish are running around without any notion about their nation, about their identities.
Thanks for the content. Keep up the good work.

They never Bat Mitzvahed girls in the. 1950’s because they felt it was for boys. However we had a wonderful group and we were close like family. I know all the rules in Judaism.
