You can’t tell me that priest didn’t learn about the Tanakh in seminary, even if in brief. It makes no sense that he claims Daniel isn’t in the Tanakh, because it’s so *blatantly obvious* that anyone could look and find it to be true.
Studying the Tanach briefly is impossible. 24 Books Judaism is very deep and requires years to study. Sadly the Christian Bible is misintreperated, misquoted and distorted.
@@Mr.Ditkovich. It's because the Rebbe instructed people to only type it or write it like that when the name G-d isn't being used in one of the holy texts like the Torah, Tanakh, Midrash and Talmud. I'm not an observant Jew but I'll respect their faith. Plus I do think I know the one true G-d now so I might as well try to do this easy little thing. You are correct it's not hard.
As an Eastern Orthodox Christian I would like to say that I agree with Singer that there are issues with some of the ways that the 70 weeks are calculated. But one of the critiques you had was that the last week was separated from the 69 weeks, but how do Jews reconcile the 490 year prophecy with the first messiah of the first 7 weeks being Cyrus and the destruction of the Temple in 70AD? Wouldn’t that be well over 490 years? Wouldn’t the first 7 weeks, the 62 weeks and the last week need to be separated by gaps to make that work? I always favored Eusebius of Caesarea’s calculations, which I always assumed was the same as the Jews calculation as he understood the reference to messiah as the Highpriest. Eusebius seen the first 7 weeks(49 years) being from the decree of Cyrus his first year in 539BC to the death of Joshua the high priest in 490BC. Eusebius believed the 62 weeks were separated because the Temple remained unfinished until the 5th year of Darius which is when the 62 weeks begins, he then follows this up to the time King Herod killed Hycranus the Highpriest from the Hasmonean line. Herod then placed one of his sons in the office of Highpriest though Herod being an Edomite made this an illegitimate Highpriest which for Eusebius meant the Highpriest succession was cut off and had nothing, Eusebius saw Hycranus as this the messiah who was cut off and had nothing. As for the last week Eusebius believed this was Christ ministry where he preached for 3.5 years and made a covenant with many and was crucified in the middle of the last week, putting an end to the need for sacrifices. Obviously this wouldn’t be convincing to Jews, Though I heard another interpretation that the last week beginning with the death of Christ brother James in 63AD recorded by Josephus, to the destruction of the Temple 70AD, with the beginning of the war taking place in the middle around 66AD . Personally my view, as in Orthodox Christianity we believe in the concept of Microcosms, I believe the fact that there’s exactly 40 years between Christ death and the destruction of the Temple, 40 being a number of great significance as we see it all throughout the Tanakh, and the fact that Jesus said regarding his body, destroy this Temple and I’ll raise it up in 3 days, I feel the destruction of the Temple is a mirrored event of Christ death on the Cross as it was the Romans responsible for both. If anyone had the patience of reading this I’d be very interested in how the the 70 weeks is calculated in Judaism
I’ve personally spoken to Christian’s and they all seem to not get the importance of reading and understanding scriptures according to their original language. This is more than common.
I guess they think it loses something in the original (A missionary once told me that her translation of the TeNaKh was more authoritative than the Hebrew text because it had been "clarified" by the Holy Spirit--even more ironic because it was the King James...)
Why is there a need to study in Hebrew? All the languages are created by God, so one can study whatever the language they know and come to know the truth which is YESHUA JESUS is the only Messiah, there's nobody at any time. In fact, Judaism is the un fulfilled religion whereas Judea Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism. Isaiah 53 talks about YESHUA, which is physically provable by challenging the power of bullets based on Isaiah 54:17. YESHUA did back then and the same is repeated now in the 21st century. So, Judaism of Tovia Singer is absurd.
@@godevidence2834 All languages are created by God, but if you *really* want to understand and study, you read it in its original language, this is just common sense. Christian’s mistranslate and run with ideas from texts because they have no clue about the language. As a Muslim, I’ve seen Christian’s do this with my scriptures too, it’s totally embarrassing. All they care about is the Holy Spirit and the trinity.
I have relatives who are actually afraid to watch any Rabbi discuss the opposite of what they were taught in their Christian bible. I use the word afraid, they just have a totally closed mind about the Jewish religion, even though they are half Jewish. Even my 2 brothers and 1 sister believe in Christianity, but they are clueless about what the Torah says. I was too, until I started watching this channel. I went to Hebrew school, got Bar Mitzvah's, but was just going the motions. I followed my marching orders as a kid. I appreciate this channel very much.
@@User-x5s3x Jesus Christ is all over the Old Testament, literally all of the disciples and the apostles were Jewish and knew the Jewish doctrine (at the time the oral tradition was still just oral tradition and wasn’t nearly a holy book in and of itself as the Talmud) by heart especially someone like Saul ( St. Paul later on) who was literally a Pharisee of Pharisees and intensely persecuted Christians and participated in the execution of one of the apostles, most of the early Christians were Jews who accepted Jesus as the messiah, to the extent that most Christians would pray in synagogues because that was the only house of prayer they knew of. you have to read the old and New Testament without the Talmudic explanations that were written 300-400 years after Christ, read with an open heart and an open mind without the intent to prove one or the other right or wrong but to receive a better understanding of where Christians and Christianity come from. I haven’t met a single Jewish person IRL who read the New Testament but have met a lot of harsh critics of christian faith.

The Hebrew Bible has three sections, Torah, Prophets and Writings. Since Daniel is not a Prophet according to the Talmud he is included in the section of the Jewish Bible labeled "Writings". So if the Syrian priest is saying that the book of Daniel is not included in the Jewish Bible he is wrong. If he is trying to say that the book of Daniel is not included in the book of the Prophets he is correct.
Interesting note. I think it was clear that the priest was saying the Jews HIDE the book of Daniel (period). It is just how christians will say that Jews "hide" Isaiah 53, simply mistaken..

It’s mind boggling to me how priests from other religions try to disprove/ discredit Judaism when we are literally the people of the book!!! We spend our life’s essence learning OUR original scriptures. We are the chosen people as the eternal protectors of the word of god!!! As a matter of fact we know more about the origins of other nations because we have kept a historical account of our suffering by the hands of these nations.
What makes you think you’re the people of the Books? No disrespect but Do you have DNA proof ? I don’t want to be those people but history shows today’s Jewish people converted to Judaism in 9th century but first century there were many true Israelites who have saw Jesus, seen him doing miracles and accepted Christ. Until 9th century not only 90% today’s Jew were idol worshiper, after their conversion they used the Hebrew letters to write their own language. I know I am wrong or maybe right but for your claim as the people of the book or the chosen people 100000% false! Because you and your family are following Judaism for few centuries doesn’t make you the chosen people or experts on Hebrew language!

Unfortunately I believe those pastors used to be those Christians I just spoke about above 😬.. Because I was a super zealous Christian for the last 6 years, I had deep questions. I had multiple people always reaching out to me asking me to teach Bible classes. How is even asked to Pastor or start my own church 😮😂... And that was due to me knowing a lot of the scriptures and helping people find their faith. I never felt worthy enough to do that. But i had a couple questions of my own.. big questions. Well more than a couple. And after asking many pastors Christians you name it, and never getting an answer or being ignored or getting the whole roundabout.. I decided to look into it myself and speak to some Jews and rabbis that the pastors used to tell me to stay away from whatever you do don't talk to them because they hate the true God!... And now here I am😂... sure I can smile now a little bit but in the beginning the first two weeks I was devastated and in tears for most of the day.. Can't really see it any other way now. But I still question the Hebrew Bible if it's true or not. But that wasn't my point I was trying to see if the New Testament was credible

Love this breakdown of Daniel, fantastic well done Tovia! For a Chrisitan it is still encouraging that a messiah is mentioned to be cut off prior to 2nd temple destruction. For there is still an argument of which calendar to count from! Cyrus as the messiah of Daniel’s prophesy of the one who was cut off is completely false as he died in 530BCE. This prophesy fits in with the messiah from Isaiah 53 “Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people.” Isaiah 53:8 Notice the phrase cut short here goes nicely with Daniel’s anointed one who was cut off!

I have one question for Rabbi; who can do the job in Daniel 9:24 below and who do you think could do this verse 24 in that 70 weeks in question? 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

✝️ JESUS IS THE MESSIAH THAT DANIEL PROPHESIED ✝️ The Messiah had to have come in Daniel Week 69, that was in the days of Rome, for the Prince Messiah of Week 69 is also the Prince of the Covenant (who brought the New Covenant) of Daniel 11:22 and is the same Prince of Princes (the Son of Man of Daniel 7, who will reign over the kingdoms of the World) of Daniel 8, and the one against him is Rome, the same one described in Week 69 that would bring down the City and the Temple (70 A.D). Some want to say that these events did not occur at the time of Rome, and that he is talking about some Seleucid King, but Daniel 8:23 clearly explains that this character arises after the fall of the 4 Kingdoms of Greece (that is, he arises after the fall of the Seleucids, so he cannot be Antiochus)...this is Rome, who became an empire (27 BC) when the last Kingdom, the Ptolemies, was conquered by Rome. What does all this mean then?...that Jesus was the wounded Messiah prophesied by Daniel, and that anyone claiming to be the Messiah after that date can no longer be considered Messiah, for the prophetic time has already passed, it would be too late...only Jesus fulfilled that prophecy at the exact time, and then the City and the Temple fell as Daniel said Daniel's prophecy stopped when the City and Temple fell, this is because the prophecy of the 70 Weeks is for the People of Israel and the Holy City (Daniel 9:24), and at present Jerusalem is not fully theirs.... When the City is theirs, and the False Messiah appears, the revival of Rome with a New Herod posing as King of the Jews, making covenant with many, then the 70th Week will begin (the beginning of the events described in Daniel 11:23).... he in the middle of the Week will Reign for 3 and a half years, persecute the Understood of these prophecies, seek the removal of the New Covenant of the lamb from the hearts of those who are God's Temple, and bring Apostasy, exalting himself above all, as if he were God, thus bringing spiritual perdition, and will make alliance with 10 Kings...Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia will fall under his power...and he will return to Jerusalem with armies This False Messiah is the Little Horn of Daniel 7 and its 10 horns, coming out of the 4th Beast/Rome, and is also the feet of Iron mixed with clay (Iron/Rome, as the Iron of the Legs, resurfaces, making alliances with the 10 toes/Kings) But in those days of Great Tribulation will return the Nazarene, the True Messiah, from where he ascended, from the East, from the Mount of Olives, and will defeat those Kings of the False Messiah/Gog, when he is surrounding Jerusalem with his armies....for in the last days the sealed Book of Daniel will be opened, and the kingdoms of the World and Jerusalem will accept with lamentation the Pierced One and his New Covenant, because they will understand these prophecies of Daniel to be fulfilled, being cleansed, made white and Purified through the New Covenant....

I haven't been a christian for 10 years (or a follower of any religion for that matter), and it still amazes me how athletic these mental gymnasts are at trying to make Jesus fit somewhere he doesn't belong. @@FriendwithNoName7because us Muslims appreciate that Rabbi is very straight up and clear about Islamic issues, even though he may not necessarily agree with everything in Islam, I’ve never heard him lie about Islam. Us Muslims love to see people who worship the one true Lord.
@Cre8Peace The Attributes are the same, linguistic differences are natural but the Qualities are same hence it points to the same source. Muslims even say they Worship Lord of Abraham and Moses, if someone says that in their prayer they are worshipping the same God, if that isn't enough then the meaning of word also points to the single one high authority much like in Judaism. What matters is that worship is directed towards a singular most powerful being without associating partners, one has to be a m0ron to think that they worship a different God.
@Cre8Peace we worship the same God, but different version. Just as how your Moshe and our Musa are the same prophet, but different variants. YHWH is Allah, the Holy Father in Heaven. Christians don't worship the same God as us; they believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three persons, one God. How that even makes sense, I don't know.
Daniel chapter 9 uses the Hebrew word (שבעים ~ Shavuim) to represents a period of time multiplied by seven. For various reasons this word is translated as “weeks” and means a multiple of seven years rather than a multiple of seven days. a) We see a similar use in the verse, “You shall count~ שבע שבתת השנים) seven Shabbaths of years), seven years seven times… forty-nine years.” Leviticus 25:8 b) A Shabbath is a period of seven days and shares the same Hebrew root for the word c) Normally the plural of week would be (שבעות ~ Shavuot) in Daniel it uses the masculine “ים” ending for ( שבעים~ Shavuim) similar to (years ~ שנים) This indicates that (שבעים~ Shavuim) is referring to a multiple of seven years d) Both Jews and Christians agree that this is referring to a multiple of years. 1) In Ezra 1:1-4, King Cyrus issues a proclamation (קול ~ Kol) and writings (מכתב ~ Mechtav) granting the Jews permission to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple. 2) Ezra 6:12-13, King Darius issues a decree (טעם ~Taim) granting permission to rebuilt the Temple. 3) Ezra 7:11-16, Artaxerxex, issues a decree (טעם ~Taim) granting permission to rebuilt the Temple. (Artaxerxex is a Persian title of royalty and can refer to different leaders. This is similar to the way Pharaoh is the title of rulers of Egypt) 1) 70 years of subjugation (Jeremiah 25) 2) 70 years till they return to the Jerusalem (Jeremiah 29) 3) 70 years of the destruction of Jerusalem (Daniel 9). (שבועה~Shevuah) that means “week”. Therefore in Daniel chapter 9, each week is a period of seven years. Christian polemicists interpret these passages in the following way. These passages are being spoken by Daniel after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by the evil Babylonian empire. At some point after the destruction, there will be a “decree” issued to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. Starting from the issuing of that decree, 7 and 62 weeks totaling 69 weeks of years (483 years), will pass and then the Messiah will come and in that same 7 year period “week” he will be cut off, but not for himself, but for the sins of mankind. Then the city and sanctuary will be destroyed. Christian assert that their calculation proves that Jesus fulfilled this prophecy to the exact day. After the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem any Jews that survived the Babylonian slaughter were exiled from their land. Daniel, for example lived in Babylon. Eventually, the Babylonians were conquered by the Persian Empire. Christians claim that the decree mentioned in Daniel 9:25 was issued by the Persian King Artaxerxes in the year 444 BCE, based on Nehemiah 2:1-8. These passages speak about the king giving Nehemiah “letters” (אגרות ~ Iggrot) for safe passage and permission to rebuild the Temple. The building of Jerusalem was started and halted several times and there are actually three additional decrees mentioned earlier in the Bible. JewsforJudaism

You can always tell when a preacher or a priest is lying, because first off, they are using the name of god and jesus, which is not Hebrew. If they honor the Sabbath on Sunday, they do not honor Hebrew Scripture.
The orthodox priest doesn't honor the sabbath on sunday, Orthodox don't do that. They celebrate what they call "The Lord's day" as when Jesus was risen from the dead on sunday. The orthodox church doesn't keep the sabbath.
When a Christian starts witnessing to me I ask them if they know the difference between Judaism and Christianity. I tell the Jesus saves but Moses invests.
I’m a Christian, and I never heard that Daniel 9 was of Jesus crucifixión . What I had heard was that it refers to a rapture and a tribulation. This video was very educational thank you.
Daniel 9:25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times." King Artaxerxes gave this command in 3303 (-457 BCE). Add 483 years, and the Messiah arrived in 3786 (26 CE), about 2,000 years ago. (Respectfully, the King Cyrus argument does not work, because Cyrus reigned @ 100 years earlier than King Artaxerxes, which makes more like 83 weeks of delay. Plus, how can he give the command at the BEGINNING of the 583 years, and still arrive as the Mashiach at the END of the 583 years? Did King Cyrus live MORE than 583 years??)
your Rabbi he ignorant dose not know Those who are in Christ are "His seed", the children of God. and that mean how does he get to see his seed when he would be cut off from the earth without generations or descendants? The victorious and triumphant end to the trial of this Servant (cf. Ps 22b) is only explicable if He obtains some resurrection from the dead ("cut off from the land of the living ... [himself made] an offering for sin"), which we in fact find toward the end ("he shall prolong his days [i.e. his life] ... the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand") (cf. Ps 16:10).

I've posted this before, but I want to reiterate: if Christians were secure enough with the tenets of their faith as spoken by Christ as quoted in their scriptures, known to them as the New Testament, they would not need to try to justify any part of it by appropriating texts from the Jewish scriptures, known to them as the Old Testament, to Jews as Tanakh.

When he stated, “Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (verse 11,), he meant that every living thing, both in heaven and on earth, will honor Christ. Heavenly forces and demonic powers, Muslims, people who reject Christ and His faithful in the church-all will bow before Him (Isaiah 45:23-24). Every tongue will acknowledge Jesus for who He is-the Sovereign Lord of the universe. Only Jesus over come. The sheep they hear his voice and He gives them eternal life Nothing can deliver them out of His hands 🙏 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.” When Jesus is called “King of kings and Lord of lords,” it means that, in the end, all other rulers will be conquered or abolished, and He alone will reign supreme as King and Lord of all the earth. There is no power, no king, and no lord who can oppose Him and win Jesus is omnipresent and all powerfull he can be everywhere all the time It is clear that in Mark 14:62 Jesus’ own words are testimony that he claimed not only to be God but that he is worthy of worship. ✝️

The seventy weeks of Daniel 9 even the Christian’s don’t agree how to interpret it the right way. But if you interpret it it right,it’s exactly proves to the month and day the crucifixion of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
You have given me a lot to think about. I didn't realize that the 70 years of captivity began when King Jehoiakim, Daniel and his friends were taken captive, but it makes sense. I also didn't know that Cyrus was called the anointed one. Thank you. I respectfully wish to add something that others may ponder and hopefully gain something from. Daniel's vision begins with saying it concerns Daniel's people - Israel. As a Christian, I believe the clock stoped with Jesus' death and resurrection. After which the time of the Gentiles began. The time of the Gentiles is mentioned in Luke 21:24. The last seven years are put off until the fullness of the Gentiles is complete . This pause is not unheard of, because in Luke 4:17-19 Jesus reads from Isaiah 61 verse one and only half of verse two. Why did He stop reading in the middle of verse two? Because He fulfilled the reading up to that point with His first coming. The rest of 61 will be fulfilled with Christ's second coming. The second part of two and verse three read: And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. One reason to think that the 70 weeks of Daniel has not yet been fulfilled is because the six-fold purpose that was mentioned is not yet realized. I was taught that the clock begins with Nehemiah 2 around 444 BC. The end of 69 weeks is Yeshua's death & resurrection. The destruction of the temple is Yeshua's body. This is when the time of the Gentiles began. Supposedly, the second temple took 49 years to build. I don't know how this could be verified in scripture. Lastly, I am sorry about the false accusation from that priest in that video. That was not fair.

I really appreciate Rabbi Singer's repsonse to this priest. I do have a couple of points I need clarified though. If the temple was destroyed at the end of the 62 weeks (and this after 7 weeks to the time of Cyrus for a total of 69 weeks) then when and what, was the covenant that is made for one week? And if the preisthood being removed in the 3.5 years BEFORE the the temple was destroyed, ie when the war started, is referring to the annointed one cut off in the middle of the week - then isn't the Rabbi conflating the last (70th) week into the being last week of the 62 weeks? This only gives a total of 69 weeks. Could someone please clarify?
@hrvatskinoahid1048 Thank you...but that doesn't solve the problem/question I am asking... King Agrippa fled at the beginning of the war...that is still in the last week of the 62 week (or the 69 week in total)...where is the last/70th week??...and where is the covenant that begins this week?

I asked AI as I’m genuinely interested in these claims. Here’s what AI states. Jews accept the Book of Daniel as part of the Hebrew Bible. However, it is categorized differently within the Jewish scriptures compared to the Christian Old Testament. In the Jewish Tanakh, Daniel is part of the "Ketuvim" (Writings), which is the third section of the Tanakh, following the "Torah" (Law) and "Nevi'im" (Prophets). This categorization reflects a view of Daniel not primarily as a prophet but as a writer of wisdom and apocalyptic visions. The book is highly regarded for its rich apocalyptic literature and the stories of Daniel's faith and integrity in the face of various challenges while serving in the courts of foreign empires. So do Jews not accept Daniel as a prophet? Correct, in the Jewish Tanakh, the Book of Daniel is not categorized under "Nevi'im" (Prophets), but rather it is placed in the "Ketuvim" (Writings), which is the third and final section of the Hebrew Bible. This section includes a variety of literary styles including poetry, wisdom literature, and some apocalyptic texts. Daniel is considered more of an apocalyptic text with historical narratives and prophetic visions. This categorization reflects a view of Daniel more as a sage or visionary, rather than a traditional prophet like Isaiah or Jeremiah. The distinction also lies in the type of content and the literary form Daniel employs, which is distinctly different from the other prophetic books that are more directly focused on the oracles and active prophetic ministries. I find deceit in what you say sir!

Rome was the tool of God...
@@brstfr7126Thats stupid, I personally wouldn't take anyone serious who hols the english translation higher than the hebrew.

Pierced for HIS transgressions indeed. And now man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Furthermore, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

The truth doesn't stop for feelings, hence this bishop was attacked. He lost an eye and how symbolic that is, he immediately shows us what turn the other cheek is rather than an eye for an eye. an eye for an eye is what makes the middle east currently so unsafe. and it not about words there.

✝️ JESUS IS THE MESSIAH THAT DANIEL PROPHESIED ✝️
The Messiah had to have come in Daniel Week 69, that was in the days of Rome, for the Prince Messiah of Week 69 is also the Prince of the Covenant (who brought the New Covenant) of Daniel 11:22 and is the same Prince of Princes (the Son of Man of Daniel 7, who will reign over the kingdoms of the World) of Daniel 8, and the one against him is Rome, the same one described in Week 69 that would bring down the City and the Temple (70 A.D).
What does all this mean then?...that Jesus was the wounded Messiah prophesied by Daniel, and that anyone claiming to be the Messiah after that date can no longer be considered Messiah, for the prophetic time has already passed, it would be too late...only Jesus fulfilled that prophecy at the exact time, and then the City and the Temple fell as Daniel said
Daniel's prophecy stopped when the City and Temple fell, this is because the prophecy of the 70 Weeks is for the People of Israel and the Holy City (Daniel 9:24), and at present Jerusalem is not fully theirs....
When the City is theirs, and the False Messiah appears, the revival of Rome with a New Herod posing as King of the Jews, making covenant with many, then the 70th Week will begin (the beginning of the events described in Daniel 11:23).... he in the middle of the Week will Reign for 3 and a half years, persecute the Understood of these prophecies, seek the removal of the New Covenant of the lamb from the hearts of those who are God's Temple, and bring Apostasy, exalting himself above all, as if he were God, thus bringing spiritual perdition, and will make alliance with 10 Kings...Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia will fall under his power...and he will return to Jerusalem with armies
This False Messiah is the Little Horn of Daniel 7 and its 10 horns, coming out of the 4th Beast/Rome, and is also the feet of Iron mixed with clay (Iron/Rome, as the Iron of the Legs, resurfaces, making alliances with the 10 toes/Kings)
But in those days of Great Tribulation will return the Nazarene, the True Messiah, from where he ascended, from the East, from the Mount of Olives, and will defeat those Kings of the False Messiah/Gog, when he is surrounding Jerusalem with his armies....for in the last days the sealed Book of Daniel will be opened, and the kingdoms of the World and Jerusalem will accept with lamentation the Pierced One and his New Covenant, because they will understand these prophecies of Daniel to be fulfilled, being cleansed, made white and Purified through the New Covenant....

How in the world does that priest get the death of Daniel and the coming of Malachi from that? Daniel's death triggers the rebuilding of Jerusalem? Malachi the anointed ruler? @@T-19-to hell with Islam
For various reasons this word is translated as “weeks” and means a multiple of seven years rather than a multiple of seven days.
a) We see a similar use in the verse, “You shall count~ שבע שבתת השנים) seven Shabbaths of years), seven years seven times… forty-nine years.” Leviticus 25:8
b) A Shabbath is a period of seven days and shares the same Hebrew root for the word
c) Normally the plural of week would be (שבעות ~ Shavuot) in Daniel it uses the masculine “ים” ending for ( שבעים~ Shavuim) similar to (years ~ שנים) This indicates that (שבעים~ Shavuim) is referring to a multiple of seven years
d) Both Jews and Christians agree that this is referring to a multiple of years.
This is similar to the way Pharaoh is the title of rulers of Egypt)
1) 70 years of subjugation (Jeremiah 25)
2) 70 years till they return to the Jerusalem (Jeremiah 29)
3) 70 years of the destruction of Jerusalem (Daniel 9).

The second part of two and verse three read:
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

And to think, all this discusion and we never got into the fact that most Christian translators move the atna (semicolon in english) in verse 25, intentioanlly mutilating the scriptures, to effectively eliminate the intended prophecy and create a new one.
Don't get me started on ignoring very important markings in translstion. Or the idea that context markings are only cantellation marks and not very important marks in interpretation and structure of the text.
I can forgive and understand Jews at least for keeping this information hidden as to its deep meaning.
you must make an arabic version of your channel ppl need to hear this
I really appreciate Rabbi Singer's repsonse to this priest.
The anointed one will be cut off means Agrippa, the king of Judea, who was ruling at the time of the destruction, will be slain.
Rabbi Singer Vs Brother Nathaniel. Let's make it happen!
Growing up as a Christian, the suffering servant of Isaiah was the prophecy I remember being used most to emphasize Jesus fulfilling prophecy.
I never read Isaiah from finish to end for myself, I just believed what I was told.
All these years later, and having read Isaiah many times, it couldn’t be more crystal clear Israel is the servant in the context. It says it over and over!
The servant in Isaiah 53 is blameless or Sinless. Was israel sinless? How can Israel then pay for the sins of others ? The servant in Isaiah 53 was sinless and could pay for the sins of everyone.
@@barna_cherian Read Isaiah from start to finish.
@@barna_cherian show me where Jesus had children
In 53:10 it says he shall SEE HIS SEED. THE HEBREW WORD ZERA MEANS REAL CHILDREN. ALSO WHERE DOES JESUS SHARE THE WEALTH WITH THE MIGHTY IN A LATER PART OF ISAIAH 53. HE WAS NOT BURIED WITH THE WICKED. HE WAS BURIED IN A RISH MANS TOMB. CASE CLOSED
@@kennethbrownsher1264 The pronouns may be confusing you. Both pronouns in "He shall see His seed" are Yahweh. "His seed" are all who are born again of the water and the spirit (John 3:5) who are in Christ; they become God's spiritual children. Look at it in the YLT version.
10 And Yahweh hath delighted to bruise him, He hath made him sick, If his soul doth make an offering for guilt, He seeth seed -- he prolongeth days, And the pleasure of Jehovah in his hand doth prosper.
11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.
Christ bore all of our sins in His death on the cross, thereby allowing all who will believe, repent, and be baptized into Christ to have remission of sins, and we are then counted for the seed of Abraham.
@@kennethbrownsher1264 Gal. 3:26-29.
"26 for ye are all sons of God through the faith in Christ Jesus,
27 for as many as to Christ were baptized did put on Christ;
28 there is not here Jew or Greek, there is not here servant nor freeman, there is not here male and female, for all ye are one in Christ Jesus;
29 and if ye [are] of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise -- heirs." (YLT)
When we are in Christ, God sees Christ's sacrifice covering us. And as counted for the seed of Abraham we become the Israel that is saved with an everlasting salvation.
Isa. 45:17,
"But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end." (KJV)
Those who are in Christ are "His seed", the children of God.

Thanks Rabbi Singer. You are right
I'm a Jew and I can show my token non-Jews that Daniel is still in the Tanakh and the non-Jews can use me as the token coin (being facetious). Funny moment there Rabbi 😂
Went to church most of my life in evangelical Baptist churches and no one ever said anything about Jews hiding scripture, not Isaiah, not Daniel, not anything. Have never found or heard or read any other Christian making that claim either. I went to church a lot and not always the same one. Not saying that it never happened, only I have seen no evidence that this is a common claim.
Has anybody ever seen a Christian leader tells the truth about other faiths?
Yes actually I have.

That same priest lied about islam claiming to know arabic, then bent the translation of a verse in the Quran to claim jesus is the spirit of God 💀
Yea that doesn't prove that Jesus is God, because every creature is word of God and spirit of God, as there is another verse says that John was word of God, so that means John is God? Lol
Islam is false, so it doesn't matter. The priest is arabic that's why he knows arabic. Judaism is true and the torah states that there is a Son of God and that's Israel !!! 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱

I don't know this priest but I would suggest he was saying the book of Daniel was not considered to be a book of prophecy by the Jews and is included in the Ketuvim rather than the Nevi'im where he believes it should have been placed. I seems He is saying that Jews do not accept the book of Daniel as a prophetic writing. What say ye?
Yeah, this guy seems to love his word play as much as the guy he's trying to take down.
So, that is NOT what he says! If he said it honestly, then it would be just another argument point, in the discussion between us Jews and Christians! He is OBVIOUSLY trying to make an even stronger case, that we are LYING about our own law and the communication of God! That make him a LIAR, not misunderstood!
Nobody knows the books better than the jews. Imagine reading the same book for 3,500 years!!!
Amazing videos as always.
Definitely Greeks know better for various reasons...
