- I noted there were no video's like this apart from ones made 15 years ago and in 240p resolution at best. So I decided to make a new one. This was originally going to be a direct remaster of the DMP version but evolved from there. Special thanks to DMP and all those who made video's like this before!

I loved both but the best part from any one of them is Palpatine interrupting Picard by saying “Good”. That sent chills down my spine and will always be gold.
I laughed so hard when Picard asked if there's any nudity in the subspace message, then his disappointed "oh" that killed me
Yeah! That was so unexpectedly hilarious! Also, when Warf says, "lasers". 🤣

Data can't handle the lasers

Data's brain is a positronic brain working with ftl quantum computing like every other computer in starfleet, and he can literally dodge lasers, which is an on screen feat btw, not just some obscure information from some technical manual.

Absolutely perfect I consider this the lost episode of Star Trek would love to see the conclusion but that might be harder to pull off either way it would be fun right. Plot twist data saves the day but he felt something and he enjoyed it. Dun dun dun
From a technological standpoint, the federation weapons are far superior to Star Wars weaponry. Turbo lasers are a phased plasma but only pack a moderate punch. Star destroyers also don't have very strong shields but rely on heavy hull armor. On the flip side federation vessels very powerful weapons when it comes to phasers, which are powerful enough to crack the crust of a planet and photon torpedoes are essentially as powerful as a 50 megaton nuclear warhead. Federation vessels are also far more maneuverable and would run circles around a Star Destroyer. The federation would mop the floor with the Empire
The only problem is propulsion, the star wars hyperdrive is akin to Star Trek transwarp technologies. However this really doesn't matter in the long run as one victory alone would give Starfleet the ability to replicate this technology and any strategic advantage the Empire could have is nullified by the inability to penetrate Starfleet shields and defences without getting destroyed themselves.
So in the end the only advantage they have is the force, but what is the force compared to a quantum torpedo?
Yes, like Archer's ship, just dozen times bigger.

You can't choke Data. He doesn't need to breath.
A No-Prize to you, sir!
If he needs to speak, he needs to breathe.
@@RoadHead62 : Data is a computer. Computers don't breathe and they speak just fine. Your surround-sound speakers don't need to breathe at all any more than a record player. Data is immune to ol bucket head, sorry your logic is so heavily flawed
@@paulpolpiboon9535 Data is a synthetic organism. No he doesn't need to breathe, but to speak he does in fact have a lung, diaphragm and vocal chord equivalent. He also has a 'stomach' that breaks down food and separates out what nutrients and lubricants it can and eliminate the rest
when convenient.
Or did you think that 'Fully Functional' only
meant he could sustain an erection? lol.
Did you not even watch the show?
@@RoadHead62 Your first comment says exactly "he needs to breathe", the second sentence in your 2nd comment says "no he doesn't need to breathe".
Sooo...which one is it??
The point made is that you said he needs to breathe, and I CORRECTED you; that he does NOT need to breathe.
Your logic is heavily flawed because you said "if he needs to speak, he needs to breathe". Not whether or not data has lungs. The record player, speakers, etc etc all speak just fine and none of them need to breathe. The logic of your very first comment is heavily flawed and just plain Wrong.
Now: moving on to this NEW subject that you've introduced about Data being fully functional; if YOU ever watched the show (because I watched it plenty son) you would know that doctor Bashir had a lengthy questionnaire on him regarding his hair follicles growing and the rest of his so-called fully functional "traits".
Or did you miss that episode?
Do you not watch the show???
Because if you DID you would know that everything is artificial, it is all there to bare resemblance to a human state. He does not actually have real hair. He does not actually really breathe. He does not actually sleep, or have real finger nails. As he pointed all of this out to doctor Bashir, Noonien Soong replicated all these qualities in him to give the ILLUSION of a human person. He does not actually have lungs sir. I mean how many times has the ship been flooded with gas and Data is not affected?!!?? Seriously..do you actually WATCH the show?

I love how Picard is treating the terrifying dark lord of the Sith as an obstinant child 🤣
😂 It is fun to see! I love both these characters equally and lots so no disrespect to others who love them, too, but to fair (& in just my frank opinion) Vader does display “obstinate child” qualities; I mean, he is genuinely dangerous and terrifying, but he’s just grown up into a tortured, unhappy, unhealthy twisted adult, still just a scared, angry little boy, a man-child hiding behind a fierce, violent (colder than Kylo, usually) tough-guy/bad-ass facade.
Picard seems to know how to handle space tyrants and bullies pretty well, and often! 🙂

This is so dumb...Starwars Turbolasers are not lasers, they are Laser charged plasma weapons, capable of vaporizing asteroids. Star trek Warp tech takes 75 years to go from delta quadrant to alpha quadrant, where as the similar sized star wars galaxy is crossed in a weeks time using complex hyperspace lanes that aren't direct. Phasers are basic Disruptor weapons that disintiragrate by messing with the molecular strong force. There is no way in hell they would 1 shot a shielded star destroyer. Turbolaser Plasma weaponry is atleast as powerful as romulan sonic Disruptor which would chew the enterprise. The only advantage the enterprise would have is weapons range and sublight manuverability. It's number of weapons are limited, as is its overall firepower. It's technology is not superior to starwars, and their ships even move slower at faster then light speeds. Your Bias is obvious. The Enterprise E is about equal in terms of combat strength to an Imperial
Star Destroyer, not superior. It has superior range, targetting and manuverability, but inferior armor, troop capacity, Shielding and fire power. The maximum damage done by a phaser on full power is about equal to a turbolaser. Add in tractor beams, microjumps through hyperspace would also easily close the gap on distance and the fact they put up Barrages, and have hundreds of tie fighters, and you will realize, their combat strengths are at best equal, at worst heavily outgunned.
I love the way they ignored you because you were right. They very much are on the same playing field.
Sorry to tell you this but the Empire doesn't use lasers. They use ion canon. Someone said that the Empire's laser's power is the equivalent of the Klingons disruptors. The Enterprise won't able to survive the bombardment of the Star Destroyer's canons.
They use turbolasers which are plasma based weapons, perfectly capable of causing damage to a Federation Starships shields. Ion canons, while aboard an ISD are secondary weapons which while effective in SW would be of minimal use against a Trek vessel because their shields shrug off ion energy. Keep in mind I only use on screen examples of weapon damage not books because both sides use examples that are frankly ridiculous compared to what we actually SEE done.
Now as to the power of an ISDs turbolasers, they certainly can damage Trek shields and ships even all 60 of them couldn't match the power of a TNG era starships weaponry let alone a Galaxy Class. For comparison in the Empire Strikes Back we see ISDs destroying mid sized asteroids with a few shots from their batteries. Trek on the other hand has an episode in Deep Space Nine, 'The Die Is Cast' where a dozen second rate Romulan and Cardassian ships destroy 30% of a planet's crust in one salvo lasting less than 10 seconds.
The real problem is of course that all of this is irrelevant. The ISD would never get close enough to even shoot at a Trek vessel. ISD's turbolasers batteries have a range of 5-6 thousand kilometers. Trek phasers have a range of 300 thousand kilometers. And photon torpedoes can be fired from even further away. While the idea that an ISD's weapons couldn't hurt a Trek ship is false, it still wouldn't be able to actually hit one. Especially since range aside even sunlight Trek vessels move and fight at speeds approaching the speed of light and they are quite capable of fighting at superluminal velocities.
I approve , that said I love both
Holy shit, Vader can force-choke *the entire crew of a fucking starship?!* Why the hell didn't he pull any of _that_ level of badassery out of his cape IN THE WHOLE GODDAMN SAGA?!
I honestly believe a more powerful Sith could pull that off.
Beautifully done!! If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was watching a true Star Trek/Star Wars crossover! 🖖🌠🛸
THIS IS GOLD, JERRY! GOLD!!!
I love both franchises and seeing them together like this is hilarious!
WAS it CONTINUED?
Not bad. There was a Comic Book a few years ago this reminds me of. Star Trek vs The X-Men. Followed up later by Star Trek the Next Generation vs. The X-Men Second Contact with the Enterprise E traveling to the Marvel Universe after defeating the Borg in First Contact.
That second comic had a tie-in sequel: the novel _Star Trek: The Next Generation Planet X._
Loved it but only criticism was you had Geordi evacuate engineering then one of the next scenes he’s back in engineering lol 😂
Impressive, most impressive.
Captain PrickHard sounded disappointed😒 that there was no nudity in the incoming call while his First Officer played with holograms all night. Star WARS was definite revenge for disturbing his sleep as Riker showed off a treesome in the Holodeck. (Wonder what happens to his Seamen whenever they say "End Program🤔? They just.....fall on dry land😟? Smh)
Of course they eventually found out that Darth Vader was into Choking.
I take it back, after watching one episode of Discovery and Picard I now have a new appreciation of TNG. I have bought every season in a vain attempt to get the bad taste out of my mouth. You never know how good you have it till you lose it.
I actually thought this was a real episode til I realised 😂😂
I quite enjoyed the conversation between Vader and Picard.
I have no words. Amazing!!!
At the very least, this shows the relative power of each ship consistently. No amping or nerfing. I love it.
i mean they have the weapon count of the ISDs completely wrong and their actual firepower is ONE SHOT AN ASTEROID level but other then that ya.
But considering that only IN SHOW dialogue was used its really impressive.
They confused "turbolaser" with "laser."
Definitely a bit of nerfing going on. If it doesn't make sense I'll make it make sense:
"Lasers" in SW are plasma bolts. That's right, you've been laughing about Romulan level weapons.
@@iBloodxHunter I love this "debate"...Mostly because all of the canonical sources that put numbers on weapons on either side of the debate tend to contradict each other gloriously.
Like on the one hand there's information that puts a single Type X emitter at 5.01MW, there's information that says a 200 element array can output between 10,000 and 100,000TW.
Same goes for the Turbolasers, there's information that says a single ISD turbolaser outputs "over 3000TW". But it has 60 of them which would be 180,000 TW combined output.
Of course both bits of information are entirely useless as neither puts a time frame to this output. Similarly the statement that the twin turbolaser specific to some class of SW capital ship can "melt an ice moon 1000km in diameter" is kind of pointless, because it puts no time frame to this action.
Yet at the same time we see handheld phasers vaporise humanoid targets. According to Trek lore they can do this by disrupting the Nuclear Strong Force within the target. But that'd take 650 TJ of energy per kilogram of water, scale that up to a 75kg humanoid and deliver that energy in a matter of a second and we're talking a sloppy 49 PW of energy delivered by a pocket sized weapon.
Which would imply that a single handheld Type I phaser is orders of magnitude more powerful than a capital class turbolaser. And obviously with Trek's habit of logarithmic scales, a Type X emitter should be orders of magnitude more powerful than a Type I... so a 200 element array would be in the ZW to YW range.
Never mind the fact that the main dorsal array on a Galaxy class is somewhere between 200 and 933 emitters, depending on the source. With 933 emitters being "more canonical" as that's derived from what's actually shown on screen.
So yeah the numbers make no sense. There is no point in comparing. Oh and for scale, the sun puts out about 3860 YW/s of energy.
@@fermitupoupon1754 That's why I tend to use the numbers as a general frame of reference, but feats always reign supreme. Writers will always embellish the numbers to make the reader feel more impressed. These kinds of "debates" lol, will always have to be made in good faith and by deirectly comparing what the capability is of the things we are shown and told. I'm not explicitly talking about "on screen" displays but it's a good place to start. You have to be realistic about what we see and read.
🙂 I love both of these sci-fi worlds equally, but differently and SO enormously, and I very much love this & these kinds of debates. However, I also find it very intriguing, kind of funny, interesting, but also kind of sad how we fight over these things so fiercely and meanly sometimes. That I and evidently many, many others care so much about stuff that doesn’t really exist per se outside of this construct called fiction, but is very important apparently on some level/s is intriguing. Not knocking it or putting it or anyone down. I love fiction and love & respect people. It’s just interesting and I think has some deep-rooted significance and resonance to our beings that it matters so much to me and us.
Great job! Need the second part!!! Very amazing!

Vader could have death gripped him Picard during the video conference. it would have ended then.

very very well put together edit. Yeah i have seen an old edit before, but this was a nice HD one. Really good use of scenes to make them blend. One suggestion i would say is you should have stretched out the star wars footage to make it not have the black widescreen bars. Give it the same look of the star trek footage...as if we watching TV footage of star wars instead of widescreen movie look. But other then that great job.

Because history can't be allowed to forget that name.
They DO know that..."laser" was just a colloquialism for Star Wars's spun plasma weapons, right...?
Lol, they never realize that. You bring up "tybanna gas" and they say it's for oil lamps or something

The USS defiant would totally own the Millennium falcon.
Well done! Love it
Jesus Christ this is so good and well made. Chapeau!
I still think if Vader force choked everyone simultaneously Data would just fire at his ship, since he can't exactly be choked.
The sad part is that this is based on the WRONG assumption that SW weapons are inferior to Trek, when it is actually the opposite, Star Destroyers pack enough punch to blast the Enterprise in a first attack. The weapons are not "lasers", in SW the "turbolasers" are actually Tibanna gas plasma bolts, and SW ships DO have powerful shields, so these videos are always on the wrong side of the assessment, the Destroyers would eat the Enterprise for breakfast, and the Death Star could annihilate the UFP planet by planet easily. The Empire is more dangerous than the Borg if we factor in The Dark Side.
Woah now, it's more even than that.

This video is what we would rather have than the Kelvin re-hash the CBS woke crap and shitty Disney sequels. If only Roddenberry was alive and could join forces with
Lucas. That movie would make a billion dollars the first weekend. Data and C3PO nerding out with each other and R2 kicking ass. Worf learns lightsaber and discovers he is very force sensitive. Light Bat-let’s!Data automatically watches that and insanity masters it. Q shows up and jacks Palpatine around by insulting him for 8 hours straight as his guards are frozen in time, Chewie kicks 5 Nausican’s ásses Han and Geordi installs phasers and photon torpedoes on the Falcon and Leila borrows low-cut dresses from Troi who is obviously force sensitive and can move huge stuff. Old Spock prime shows up, mind melds with Luke and then mind melds with everyone and now the entire Enterprise is full of Jedi’s with replicated lightsabers and replicated midchorians implanted by Beverly. Wesley comes back and was force sensitive all along and finally becomes a badass. O’Brien installs a transporter on the Falcon and Will takes it out on a joyride and blows up a Star Destroyer for the hell of it. Lando hooks up with Guinan, he was secretly an El-Adrian all along and are actually Time Lords. Luke takes Picard to confront Vader and while Luke keeps Vader busy with a duel,, which Picard takes part in, Picard uses some latent Borg tech to disable all of Vader’s suit and cybernetics then Old Spock Prime beams over from the Falcon to mind meld Darth back into Anakin PERMANENTLY, then Q pops in along with Force ghost Yoda and Obi-Wan to watch Jedi-upgrade Data walk through Palpatine’s force lightning to put Palps in a choke hold (After Cisco beans in just to punch Palps in the mouth) and Luke and Anakin chop old bastard into ribbons. Kirk appears as a Force Ghost along with Bones to say hello, as if it weren’t obvious, the entire TOS bridge crew was Force sensitive. Kirk’s midi-count was as high as Windu’s. Q loves the happy ending he helped with and brings everyone back to life where the Federation and New Galactic republic, along with Q’s parting gift of instant spacefolding technology from his time in the Dune galaxy unites the entire supercluster. Voyager finds the Galactica and they turn the Borg on the Cylons and they wiper each other out. And everyone lives happily ever after.

@@xyztogrutamamenchi7894 agreed and the Empire would put up a good fight.
Mr Crunchie Crunch : I doubt if the Borg could manipulate the Force any more than droids can. Yes Vader's body is as cybernetic as theirs, but he still has the individual consciousness necessary to even sense the Force. The Borg probably couldn't even detect it.
Which leads to the question of wether or not someone so in tune with the Force could even be successfully assimilated. A Jedi, or Sith's, consciousness transcends whatever Borg nanopropes could do to the physical structure of their brain. Powerful Force users who were physically assimilated would be able to attack the Borg collective consciousness from within, ultimately assimilating, or destroying the collective.

This is like a laser quest battle. Star trek uses lasers as well, gene roddenberry just changed the name so as not to have the "laser" name, as if it wasnt a laser. Phasers are lasers. Two sides firing lasers at each other. And before some trek tard comes back with "but they arent lasers". They are. Why do you think quantum and photon torpedoes SHINE????? Because specific light sources.........can limit or even stop the damage of LASERS. They have limited shields yes. But that just shows how weak the beams are, that a radius of light can reduce or stop the damage of your phas..I mean laser weapons.
