The woven tufted "rug" looks like a travelling/trading bag-two compartments-possibly for salt. Slung over a camel or donkey, similar colours and patterns to arab/western asian styles. That's a VERY reasonable price !!!
As everybody has pointed out the rug is a horse saddle bag made by one of the nomadic tribes in the Middle East (i.e. Persian, Kurdish, Bakhtiari, Baluch, etc.) for their own use, rather than for export. It is, indeed "something good!" You got a real bargain as they sell for very good money!
I always check your eBay store. I am always happy when you get good money. Thanks for making your items attainable. You get great money, but you aren't being greedy. People can pay what things are worth. That makes it easier on us sellers. We know what things are actually worth and we can ask for it and not feel guilty. You provide a wonderful service to us!
Thank-you so much for saying this. I usually hear about how greedy I am for charging “so much.” I start almost everything at $4 and it sucks to hear how greedy I am all the time.
I like that you are leaving it up to bidders and buyers to ascertain the worth of items in your auction. People tend to know the value they have for items and choose to bid or not. I really appreciate how you run your auctions. Well done. 🦋
I appreciate you and your videos so much! At a time when I have to limit the news and trash I allow in my head - I am grateful for your kind, fun, and informative videos! Also, now as I walk the isles of thrift stores I find myself narrating out loud for myself! Lol! Thanks for that, too! Have a great day!
It was an authentic D&B "IT" bag, but it's pretty much trashed. Those early coated cotton bags had a problem with the coating pulling away from the cotton and they yellowed. You can't get anything for them.
The woven item at 19:45 looks like a ‘saddlebag’ possibly made in the Middle East... I received a similar piece from friends who told me that these are what the children make as they are learning how to make the hand knotted Persian rugs. This way they can learn the parts of the patterns in a smaller and more manageable size...
I love kaleidoscopes, too. I laughed because I thought I had to be the only person to say I regretted passing on one. The ones we got as kids were inexpensive but great colors. BUT the trader bag & the Blue Willows - you scored big today!

I could never find the purse though!! Good find! I’ll look on your eBay website!! But good get the Dooney purse! Especially green ones!! Ps I’m from Canada and I have never heard of Canuck Pottery! But MedAlta is awesome pottery!!
The Dooney and Bouke purse is good. Only if they are real and not a knockoff. Several years ago the knockoffs were so good their stores were having a difficult time telling it was a knockoff.
With the too big to ship, can't you put it in your booth, or save for your shop? I hate to see you miss out. Or you can do local pick up on fb? Just wondering

This particular one is used as a shoulder bag, you swing one side to your front, the other side to your back. People used to carry apples etc. whatever they collected from their lands in these.
I had a souvenir drip glaze pottery deer in the same red as that little Niagara jug, it was McMaster I believe. There was many Canadian pottery companies doing the drip glazes. Blue Mountain Pottery will most likely have BMP mark, but many pieces had no mark so very hard to tell which was which unless you studied their catalogues. My grandmother had an extensive BMP collection she was collecting since the 60's.
I saw the shopping trip where Dagney picked up some medium plates with Japanese figures. They were finally listed on her site and I purchased them. Please tell her thank you!
4:16 Blenko OMG ❤️ I favored your eBay shop, and I’ve favored your UA-cam page. I’ve been an Etsy vintage seller (mostly Midcentury modern) since 2017 (I just sold my 700th item, which is a big deal since I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, and my shop has really just been a side hustle). You have a good eye, my friend 👍

I hope you find some. My dad made ceramic Christmas trees in the late 70s and early 80s. I am always on the lookout for his pieces, too. Unfortunately, a friend who had one of his pieces told me it was unsigned.
That art glass piece Dagney (spelling?) found looks like a “Sooner Glass” piece, such a cool find. I also liked those gold bamboo framed prints! Great finds as always! 💙
I found 3 hand tooled leather bags in a Thrift Town in Dallas many years ago. Scored all three for $30. All three retailed for over $600. My sister collects them so guess where they went?
We had one of those divided baby dishes as well that was heated with water& had a suction cup on bottom. I'm #5 of 6 behind 2 boys ours had blue trim & it had these wonderful pictures of Little Boy Blue asleep in the hay, the cow jumping over the moon & the dish running away with the spoon. I think. It's been since the 60s. We had a book of nursery rhymes that had the same exact illustrations. I thought the suction cup & deep design would've been great 30 when I had kids kids & today, too. I've never seen another.
@@leeannmettlach2412 Mine doesn’t have the suction cup on the bottom....it has the metal handles....I will have to pull it out from the cupboard ...but I don’t think it had any blue trim. My sister used it and also my son who was born in 1969. So happy that I still have it!
I believe the yellow plates that you passed on were called carnival glass which was very popular during the 50's. I couldn't tell for sure since I could only see them from a distance. Carnival glass is a collectors item. There are several different colors of carnival glass as well.
Thank you so much Jocelyn and Dagney. Sorry not sure if this spelling is correct. I really really enjoyed watching you both collect all those things today. I don’t know what the rug was, it looked Native American Indian work. I hope you find out what it is and what it’s worth too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
That's what I was thinking. I'm a Turkophile and married to one. The design is definitely Turkish, but could also be nearby areas as well. ..it does match to Turkish rugs I have had.

You can use a jewelry loop to discern if a picture is a print. If you see small dots on the picture, like comic strip dots, then you have a print on you hands. 👍😎
It was an authentic D&B "IT" bag, but it's pretty much trashed. Those early coated cotton bags had a problem with the coating pulling away from the cotton and they yellowed. You can't get anything for them.
Yes, it was yellowing. I’m surprised how many people thought I missed out. I saw it, I knew what it was, and I thought... ew that’s yellow... and I left it. 😅
I found your channel by accident and I hope I can do it again. I love my shopping and looking for deals. I love finding nice baskets, decorations, clothes and much more. I have had good luck selling that Masterpiece Porcelain. If you can get them for a low price, they usually do well. Quality pieces. I bought a lot an an auction and sold them pretty high.
At 11:31 you found some Asian framed items. I couldn’t really tell but they looked like the silk calendar tops our wholesale Pearl salesmen would give us when we bought their products. We always framed the top half of the calendars. They were so beautiful-
I found an old silver squash blossom necklace priced at 20$ about 10 years ago in the jewelry case. I picked it up without blinking an eye. It was worth so much more.
Hey! Crazy Lamp Lady ! You are cute as a Bug ! I think I wrote that a year or more ago when I first discovered your thrift store videos. Your voice is very pleasant too. I was curious about that white ceramic square container with black checks on it & said "Coca Cola", shaped kinda like a cookie jar. It was near the single mug you considered. I've always been a Thrift Store buff. Always loved a bargain. Now that I'm retired, I've stopped going 'cause I have plenty of nick - nacks, many still in boxes. It has been fun following you around this store, not even half way through yet. Getting a lot of vicarious pleasure shopping with you. Thanks !
You should’ve grabbed that little single mug. It was very cute and could be used to put a succulent in or just to display on a shelf. It had a nice shape and didn’t look necessarily like a typical mug.
The rug or blanket almost looks like a horse blanket. Especially since it’s worn in the middle where the saddle would be. I don’t know how incense burners do on eBay but I know they can be upwards of $20+ new so I’m very curious to see how it does. Very eclectic haul as usual.
I was surprised you passed by the Dooney & Bourke rainbow bag, but I googled & they’re only selling for around $30-40 🤷🏻♀️ GOOD LUCK with the Fossil bags! The second one was cute!!🤩
I'm not familiar with horse or any other type of farm animals, but that doesn't look like a blanket, it more looks like a horse blanket, you would drape over there back. Probably a small horse or maybe even a donkey or a mule. It even has the Rope Hoops that kind of make me think you could hook things to it for transport. And it's really really heavy and thick, which is for good long wear.
Love that bird piece on the 1st shelf you gals looked at, that was lovely! I still pick up single mugs too lol 😅 What can I say? I like them. And what cute salt & pepper shakers Dagney found! Ok, so speaking of good salt & pepper shakers, I have to share! I never buy s&p shakers, I find that my goodwill overprice them and I'm just not sure which ones are worth getting. However, last month I saw an adorable set of owls wearing top hats and bows, and they looked old enough to catch my eye. Turns out they are vintage Norcrest, and online 1 pair sold for $120 with another currently listed at $170! 😍 Ok, back to the video 😅 Love the daily dose of cuteness too 😁 As always, thanks for sharing! I love watching your thrifting trips. ~Caroline
You are so lucky Over here in UK, if they find out your turning then round for profit, they will not only ban you, but, also, phone round every goodwill/charity/ secondhand shop within a 20 mile radius (three biggish towns for me) and get you barred from them too

~Caroline
I like the reflection in the puddle in the painting. 🙂
You are so lucky
Over here in UK, if they find out your turning then round for profit, they will not only ban you, but, also, phone round every goodwill/charity/ secondhand shop within a 20 mile radius (three biggish towns for me) and get you barred from them too
U have a nice speaking voice and show. Love Goodwill stores 🧡😆🎆
My Mom used to have one of those "brooms" my little brother lit it on fire, and my Mom didn't realize it was gone for a couple of years! We finally told her what happened to it, only after we became adults! LOL!!!
Isn't it funny how we all confess things once we become adults lol
@@Brenda-qm4sy Once we started telling her all the things we had done as teenagers and she stopped us, and said if I didn't find out then, I don't want to know about it now!! LOL
Really like some of the knowledge given to us listeners . Really enjoy watching all the finds you come upon. Keep up the good work.
Jocelyn ask Dagney if her daughter wants a Betty Boop one of those glass paperweights! I bought one last week!
*his daughter
That's sweet of you to think of her.
Great snag on the fossil purses. The leather is the best you will find . I was one of the comments on the last time when you passed it up .
