Pickle in a Christmas tree IS a thing.... hide one in a tree, 1st one to find it opens 1st gift on Christmas morning. Our daughter does this with her girls
Bronners has made glass pickle ornaments for yoinks, and others do now too. It's an old German-American tradition. Also a thing for those of us who love pickles.
For fabric chairs with arm issues, taking completed cross-stitch pieces, vintage hankies, embroidery patches and sewing or sew glueing them onto the bad spots gives the chair a new life.
Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry won the Battle of Lake Erie against the British in the War of 1812. There is a monument to him on Put in Bay Island in Lake Erie. Get there via ferry or the Jet Express tourist boat. Lots of bars and shops. Fun summertime getaway.
I would buy both cruets and use the stopper on the one you like. Nobody will notice it's about time you get into plates, etc .I know why but you don't have to stop. I read an article about the top five dinner ware patterns. The blue and white was tops. It's sentimentality due to grandparents having sets of it the scenes are very appealing with carriages, horses warm houses are evocative of good memories.
Between kids and dogs, long ago we tied the tree to the ceiling with a piece of floss and hook. Worked. I grew up w Madam Alexander dolls. Dont know what happened to them. Good haul
Good morning! Jumping in about the tag coffee mug. Although that one didn't look special, the brand is pricey and their mugs sell new for around $30 each for the good ones. They may have had a temporary collab with Target, but it's not their brand.
I loved the German plate with the bird 🎉 you have found so many beautiful plates. Mismatched plates looked incredibly pretty as a dinner service and of course wall art. 😊😊😊
On the squirrel, why not take all three to the checkout and see if they’ll sell you the squirrel based off the other two that are priced? Otherwise how does the staff ever know there is something on the shelf with no price on it.
I believe, and this is coming from a Rhode Island girl, that the Commodore Perry plate was from the Commodore Perry Hotel. Not exactly sure where it was, maybe Pennsylvania, maybe Ohio. For sure Andrew would know. He probably knows more about American history than most professors. What an asset he is to the education of the children.
I love your new adventure idea and the house. You will do an amazing job with it. I do want to mention though (because I am a safety minded person, i've been involved in safety at work for 25 years), please reconsider putting the couch in front of that big window and blocking that baseboard heater. Or, consider moving the baseboard to a different wall. Installing an HVAC system would be an even better idea but, can be expensive. Especially if there is no ductwork. If there is central AC in the house then you could us that ductwok. Of course I know you probably know all this. But, I had to share, just in case you didn't. Also, I love those shutters on that livingroom window. Shutters are an in thing and they're worth a lot of money to resell. Especially for crafters. I just think they look so pretty and that you should consider leaving them. Anyway, whatever you decide to do, I know it will be gorgeous!! You are so talented. I cant wait to see it all completed. Take your time and enjoy every minute of making it your own. I am also interested in renting it as an air bnb once youre done. Could you tell us what area/city/state it is located in and what things there are to see in that area? We like exploring, hiking, caves, etc. Ps. I still miss your metal detecting days. That is what first inspired me to follow you. You are my jam! Thank you for being you.
The chair would be perfect for your shop to sit comfy while listing or looking stuff up. And who cares if the arms have wear, it’s all about the shabby look!
I've been working for goodwill for 4 years lol the lamp lady always on my Google feed. Donations and wares producer here I will say half the time the workers are older and don't know the value of things it's either marked up to high or way to low. It's when you find the marked way to cheap items that makes goodwill worth it. Just pray they don't find all the goodies and throw them in shop. P.S. FOR YOU TAG SWITCHERS AND GRAB BAG PICKERS GET GONE 😂😂.
Commodore Perry opened trade to the East for the U.S. He started with Hawaii, and was able to convince Japan, after a long period of isolationism, to open up again to the West.
I learned in school about Commodore Perry opening Japan. And then we had this house in Austin, I'm sorry, not a house, a mansion! I went to school there in high school because at the time it was a Catholic high school. This Perry got called Commodore after a boating mishap. I know, because of the picture on the bowl, they were talking about the one who opened up Japan.
I just donated an entire set of those glass containers, the one you picked up at 3:16. The guy at the donation center just shrugged as he lifted the box and placed it precariously on top of a pile over his head. They may not have survived.
Some Goodwill's, that won't sell without a price tag, will sell you the product if they have the same product, that is priced. Since 2 of the HOMCO animals were priced, some Goodwill's would sell you the third, for the same price. That's been my experience in PA. Love your videos ❤
I found you because I started watching the Thrifting Twins and UA-cam recommended your channel. I enjoy your content and am more than amused that we have the same name, even spelled the same way.
I think adding BINs consistently is really paying off. In the first 5 days of Nov. you sold 20 BINs, in Oct. you sold 33 the whole month, in Sept. 19 were sold, and in Aug. only 8 sold. It isn’t just the new stuff that is selling, several older listings have sold. (I love analytics, too.)

Don’t buy much as I am on a fixed income and am trying to declutter love to watc
Thank-you for answering! I was aware that this could be done through activity, but it just seemed tedious. I wasn’t sure if you knew of a different method. I realized ai was a little too focused with having to move all my inventory through live sales that I let my buy it now listing fall to the wayside, so it’s fun to see it picking up with consistency. Consistency IS key, it would seem. 😅
I recently found an item at Goodwill that was not priced; I took it to the back and knocked on doors. They priced it and I bought it. I didn’t ask how much but took it for their price.
You could have bought all three of the homeco figurines. If they are in a group and one is not priced, they will put the same price on the not priced one.I have seen a lot of thrifting UA-camrs getting items like that.
You'd think someone there would have enough of a brain to figure that those figurines should be the same price and just use the barcode from one of the others. But then again, why have red tape if they're not going to tie you up with it.
How do you decide where you're going to go on any given day, other that your scheduled shows and such. Seems you were doing all PA stores first and then ventured into MD. Now it seems your focus is Allentown and State College?
She buys what she prefers. It’s that simple. She doesn’t have to pick up every item that every viewer loves. Other collectors or resellers will hopefully make that find.
Yes, do pay attention to the cll whisperer! Lol part of the continuous weirdo collection ; not realizing they possibly chase potential clients away. The barbie does hold value, if for using as Christmas decor. I feel we all have something valuable to contribute...even weirdos. ❤😊
For everyone jumping on my comment it is just that, I have been watching her for years and I know what she buys but sometimes she goes out of her wheel house to buy things.

We always tied the tree to the wall and the lower branches had the plastic ornaments, did this because of kids and pets it worked well.
💗
My dad tied the tree to the baseboard too … 65 years ago
Oooh! That fabric roll you almost picked up the other day would have been perfect to get someone to reupholster the arm chair!
I thought the same thing. It would have been gorgeous!!
That fabric was fantastic!!!!

I was thinking the same with the cruets . 🎉
The fabric you put back would ha a looked stunning on that chair!
When you walked right by the black and white king Charles spaniel planter lol what!🎉❤
So cute!
Love the Myra purses and wallets. I have quite a few!!
Oh, that cruet without a stopper would be a pretty bud vase!

Im glad you found more jewelery organizers, , tape should clean them up just fine.
Great video. I love the "fall" glasses and cake platter with bowl. 😊
Thank you Joselyn.😊 ❤❤
The largest glass tray looks like flint glass.nobody falks about it. Flint glass is the clearest clear imaginable..
The glasses are Hall's Autumn Leaf.
10.05 I am interested in purchasing the Belgie wooden shoes. I looked on your niknax and ebay accounts, did not see them posted yet.
Some clear glass glows always keep that light on you.
My mom used to collect the blue and white dishes but after she passed my dad sold all of them. I love them too.
I needed this video, Jocelyn!! Having dental surgery tomorrow morning and can't sleep~ 😬
Hope all goes well.
Great finds. The cake platter is very nice. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Sold those same frosted tall tumblers..they came in a holder...so...MCM.

Too funny.... I was watching an older video of yours, and this popped up. Guess I'm gonna get a fix of Jocelyn 😊❤😊
She was so tiny and had gorgeous colorful short hair she looked like a little kid. I loved all.the different colors she used in her hair.
The Autmn leaf glasses go with the Hall Jewel Tea or Autumn Leaf pattern. they're kind of hard to find.
Awesome! Thank you!
If the jewelry box is branded Prestige, those were from HSN and it has anti tarnish properties. The items you put in wont tarnish.
Love the colorful signs, great finds.

The colorful Santa is a Crinkle Claus. My mom collects them. We used to buy them at JC Penney for her every year back in the late 90s.
Pickle ornaments are also a Pittsburgh thing. Every schoolchild who toured the Heinz factory would get a pickle pin.
oh wow I would have loved that Wake Forest University pic thats my home town!!!
Mine too

Curious... how much was that Yeti tumbler?
I just wonder how it compares to what my local GW would sell it for.
0:41 I'm interested in any nesting Christmas dolls if you still have some. Thank you ❤
Not just hex signs but also barn quilts. Quilts patterns painted on barns
I’ve always heard them called hex signs around here. 🤷🏼♀️
The cake server looks like Fostoria Baroque with an etched design added
@6:45 I believe RADKO woodlands winds ornament ❤
Lovely finds today
Kinda love that yellow nosh dish! ❤

Tether the tree to the wall with fishing line and a screw.
I think you're Madame Alexander doll is Jo from Little women

Pickle in a tree is supposedly a German tradition, but my German coworker never heard of it until she moved to the U.S.
There is a poem to go with the pickle
The little perfume bottle at the start was Prince Machiabelli. (Windsong?) DANG I'm old. 1970s and 80s drugstore perfume.
Love your videos
are you going to list the madam Alexander Doll? very interested hell from West Chester, pa
I see your videos pop up and I think "Time to go shoooopppppiiinnggg!" (in a sing song voice :) )😊

Thrifting Twins are wonderful! 🥰
tag is it's own brand - not related to Target and often goes for top dollar
Score a yeti whoot whoot
Kid and pet safe tree. Use plastic and fabric ornaments
Could the clear glass rose be the stopper for the cruette
Morning Jocelyn lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
I put garland and lights only on my tree for three years. I would not take a chance on losing my ornaments.
I have some older than me.
I am 60 now.

You can still take it back and look for it on another shopping trip. If it’s on the shelf with no price, the workers don’t know it.

They take it back and will put a price and then hold it for twenty four hours before putting it back out.
You put a pickle in a Christmas tree and everyone tries to find it. And then whoever finds it hides it that night again. Fun
I'm betting someone stole the stopper for their own bottle that had a missing or broken stopper. :(
Hello from Mexico 👋

Priceless squirrel, just like the NY one....😢
If the Christmas pickle is a thing why did I just find out about 8ish years ago? And what does it all mean?!
It doesn’t need a stopper

Hellooooo!!!!!!
Your hair looks very pretty. Fresh cut, beautiful coloring and the very straight style suits you. I may copy your coloring style.
Why can’t you take 2. You’re probably going to sell them individually anyway,
Those are more empty than usual surprising
