The Skyrim Killer | The Case of Rocky Rambo Wei Nam Kam
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 лис 2024
- Rocky Rambo Wei Nam Kam was an odd fellow, very fond of video games, especially Skyrim. So, when one day a well respected physical therapist failed to show up for work, an investigation of her house would lead to a horrific discovery. The hunt was one, by when discovered he had nothing to say. He just loved to chomp loudly.

“He only left his home 3 times during the two weeks”
Me, a hermit: why did he had to leave the house so often?

I kinda felt bad when they were saying he barely left his house. Oh boy, I need to get out more before people think I might be a murderer. I guess I can’t use COVID as an excuse anymore.

You were right on the last part but his initial words that he continued to use was "fucking crazy" followed by what do I have to be sorry about, fucking crazy.

"I hope I'm over reacting" - the calmest guy in history describing a murder scene
We have a couple of Canadian-themed true crime shows, and everyone involved...witnesses, the cops and detectives, journalists, family members...all have that calm demeanor.
Given her line of work he may have medical training. Nurses see a lot of shit.
TBH That would probably be me as well in that situation, not because I'm super cool and together or anything, but because my immediate reaction to anything strange or dangerous is, "Oh god... Am I imagining this shit?" and nervously putting on the calmest face possible so people don't judge the guy talking calling 911 about "nothing" too harshly for potentially wasting the dispatcher's time... even if it's rationally demonstrable that it's a bad situation. There's that irrational fear of "What if I'm just being dramatic?"
I'd hope I was over reacting too. Nobody wants to walk into the murder scene of their coworker, friend, etc. I'd rather it be jam or spaghetti sauce or something. Of course in this case it wasn't.
Have you ever seen Fargo? It feels like the same energy. (The movie not tv show)

@@codyferrell1031 I concur. The whole thing seems completely detached from reality. There's obvious premeditation but there's no reason behind the killings. Why would you leave the murder weapon at the scene of the crime with the barcode on which would allow police to trace it back to where it was bought from?
The attack itself is horrific, cutting somebody's throat and stabbing somebody else dozens of times speaks of somebody that's very angry or very disturbed. It’s entirely sensible and extremely important
Be sure to practice with the knife so you level up before being attacked.
@@Lukkaboc Gotta level your one handed skill

FUN FACT: “Rambo” was filmed in Hope, British Columbia. Just outside of Vancouver.
There’s a cut out poster of Rambo in the forest along the highway, close to the Town entrance.
Damn I grew up in Kamloops and never knew this little tidbit! What a waste of a life I had xD
Yes I’ve seen that
Sad he didn’t find any inspiration from his name or any of that story or its history being nearby. Only rage. Not a normal person.

Obviously I feel for the couple that lost their lives, but also for people like the coworker who saw that and had to make the call to the police. That shit sticks with you forever.
You suffered nine hours of this "other-worldly being" to bring us another good vid. Thanx Mike!!

The caller sounded remarkably calm, although he was probably in shock from what he had just seen
i think he knew, but was hoping for the best.
idk its a hard thing to explain if youve never exactly been in a position like that.
It was probably the “First Blood” he’d ever seen before. Sorry I’ll show myself out…

That roommate attacking the reporters was like something out of a sketch comedy I couldn't help but laugh it was so unhinged. Hope the reporters are okay. 😅
Um..you hope they’re okay? How was that unhinged? He asked them to get off his property and they did not until he used brute force.
Would you want your property all over the news just because someone you knew committed a crime?

The use of the Skyrim "never should have come here" was genius
Mike is gonna be on his own 'that chapter" because that shit killed me
A undercover cop asked him to open a bottle and he used his F’n mouth? That’s the weirdest thing about this case
To be fair i also use to open my water bottle with my teeth when it wouldn't open the other way, but i would never do that on a stranger's bottle, that's messed up
I'm so confused about this too...
Were they aware he opened water bottles like this? Because I would never expect someone to open a water bottle for me-a stranger-with their teeth??? Also how did that leave enough DNA to get a viable sample? I have so many questions!
@@BeautifulSilence saliva is very good for DNA & he would have gripped the bottle with his hands whilst opening it with his mouth
I guess he got so use to multi tasking..opening it with his mouth so he doesn't have to put down the controller. It's so odd
well, think about it. they wanted his DNA, and in order for them to get it, guy had to use his teeth. so what probably happened was he was having trouble opening the bottle with his hand so the cop suggested to him to use his teeth and so he just did it without really thinking about it. his head was likely in the clouds anyway, being full of murder and Skyrim. so then boom, mission complete, DNA sample acquired.
I know we wanna think at least she lived a long life, but she was only in her 60s. With how active she was and health she could have been with us another 20 and continued to be a wonderful impact on the community.
She seemed like a stand up gal. Def my type of personality. I totally would have pegged her as a Kia Soul driver too!
She also couldve help alot more people with disabilities.
Or even longer! I work in a nursing home and have a resident who drove up to age 96 and was living independently until she broke her hip. I saw a video of a man over 100 still walking and driving! It’s crazy how much longer our live span is now compared to when people died in their 30s

Hi Mike, I remember watching the entire 9 hrs interrogation, twice actually. To this day I still can't wrap my head around what and why he did what he did to the beautiful couple. As always, thank you for covering this case. We love you, Mike 💛🧡❤
Mike is the BEST True Crime content creator out there. He tells the cases in a way that makes them more digestible, and calls shit like it is. Ie; “this guy’s a real piece of shite” which makes it /slightly/ less heavy. The amount of visuals + video quality is unmatched, especially for a TC youtuber. Perfect use of b-roll and background music. Seriously, so impressed with your content, Mike!
Same. He's able to keep a similar format yet it's still different every time and interesting. His little spots of humor are so well-placed, that I often have to rewind, wondering if I heard him correctly bc it's so well-placed to lighten the content.
I love the video effects/editing and the black background as well.
But every story has so much supporting media as well.
Just the best!
He's way ahead of other TC channels which go for manufactured creepiness like they're telling Halloween stories. I find his style much more respectful. He also avoids unnecessary stock footage. I've seen videos that are a ridiculous pastiche of unrelated stock clips.
I find him somewhat disrespectful. The cases shouldn't more more "digestible". Its mostly violent murder. Why should that be made more "digestible"? That's disrespectful to the victims.
@@layla-dv2kt it needs to be digestible because Mike has viewers and this is also his career
@@layla-dv2kt He doesn’t make fun of the victims, EVER.... just the killers. And he is very sympathetic towards those who deserve it. It makes it more digestible to US, the true crime fans. Plus, if you find it so distasteful, why are you watching murder shows to begin with? Just curious really.
“I hope I’m over-reacting” says the man who remains totally calm and stoic at a murder scene
He might sound calm but we can never know what he actually feel like at that moment….???
It's probably full blown shock and when in this state, your brain goes to a place that makes you feel detached from reality. I've literally talked to people in middle of massive of flooding and they're like, "Honey I've ran out of road, where do I go?:" The panic stage follows after once shock wears off. Watching these more and more has made me really just feel terrible for the victims and their families. These were good people just living their lives. It's crazy how little it takes to lose that forever
Hearing everything that Diana did broke my heart even further. This was someone who deeply cared about not just people, but the most vulnerable and in need of support group of people, the disabled.

Everyone is talking about Diana, but what about her disabled husband who was stabbed 100 times? Like her death is a tragedy, but so is his.
Edit: Not really sure why so many people are getting bent about this comment. Just pointing out how two people got murdered but there was only grief shown for one victim. I'm sure Diana was a brilliant woman. But the fact that it seems very few people show much empathy for her husband who was disabled and vulnerable, saw his wife murdered and then was stabbed 100 times while being helpless is very disappointing. And the comments disparaging me for mentioning it are both disappointing and quite repulsive.
Oh, absolutely. He seemed so very sweet. I agree.
Shhhhhhhhh, Diana

Yes I agree there was video of her an she was so endearing but it's true two people were killed an it's so heartbreaking💔

I don't believe I've ever seen this level of detachment. He's even telling himself he didn't kill anyone. There is no measure of preparation against this depth of psychopathy...is there?
I think he was saying that because he knew he was being recorded. Probably somehow thought when the police heard him saying it to himself they would suddenly believe it. He really doesn't seem too bright.
As someone else mentioned, he knew he was being recorded and no doubt believed he was convincing them to let him go. Even his comment about “this being over soon” he really had no idea he wouldn’t walk out of there free and clear
