That, and the 20 minute format for me makes more sense than the 1+ hour channels. I mean I enjoy some of them (Eleanor , Kendall Rae...) , but the shorter format appeals to more people I think

Guy straightens out his life and wants to help others get through tough times, and he's killed by family; it's just horrible. Money can motivate people to do truly EVIL things.
I wouldn't off anyone for any amount of money no matter how much I hated them. Complete and utter lack of morals can motivate people to do truly evil things.

I’m extremely impressed by the detectives in this case. Out of the literal HUNDREDS of true crime cases I’ve watched, I’ve never seen any other investigations where the investigators used this type of tactic in order to break the case and get someone to confess. They were one step ahead the entire time and beat all of the suspects at their own game. Usually the detectives will tell white lies and pressure suspects into confessing by causing extreme paranoia or turning the suspects and co-conspirators against each other until someone cracks under pressure, but these badass detectives were able to trick one person by simply telling the truth but switching the picture, causing everyone involved in the murder to bury themselves while they sat back and watched their stories crumble 😂. I will say, that was great police work, and whoever the detective was that came up with the idea deserves a raise and a promotion. 👏🏾👌🏾🙌🏾💯
@Giorne Manson, the second I heard that I was impressed totally! And many thanks to That Chapter for bringing this for us to enjoy, & I still haven't signed the dotted line on a life insurance policy just yet, I wonder why?!!😱😅😌
You're easily impressed. Either that or your bar for good detective work is very low. Homicide detectives are, by and large, equipped with more than merely the ability to fake out a bunch of idiots.
@@NxDoyle I have watched every single chapter vid. And other crime vids. Not an expert but going by the other detectives in all the other cases. These ones seem to be on the ball. There are some crooked, political motivated and dumb detectives out there (not all). This is just my opinion going by the vids.
Imagine surviving heavy substance addiction, a dangerous electrocution, heart issues, and being lucky to reach 59. Trying to turn your life around to help others who shared your struggles, finding someone to love for nearly two decades, and her telling you that she’s ‘tired of waiting for him to die’. I can’t think of anything crueler to say to someone who had been through so much, and then so carelessly discarding him when he stopped being convenient. It’s disgusting.

@Angel, I take 100% credit for Mike saying, “I love ya”. He started saying it at the end of most posts after I consistently commented, “I love ya,” or “We love you” after every new video. I just about pooped myself when he started saying it too! 🤣🤣. But, woe is me, it was reported that Mike had married his fair lass around the same time.
His facial reactions are priceless! Like when he is explaining another theory and he throw his hands and arms up, lays his head at a slant, then goes "Meeeeeeeeeh"??? 😆😆
Watch one of Mike’s videos from 2 years ago and compare it to a recent video. The transformation is amazing. He was straight up following a script unemotionally, which was still good enough to get a good base of subscribers. Now he tells a story, and a good story becomes a great story because of the storyteller’s personality.
Agreed! I just watched one from 3 years ago and I saw the usual good content but Mike's personality was missing. Quite a transformation and all for the best.
I love when Mike makes the joke to end the story early with the background music and "thank you so much for watching, I really really apprecia-no no, we're not done!" Always cracks me up. Also the life insurance dance haha!

It really was. She dismissed her like a boss. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of her questioning me on the stand. LOL. I had to re-watch it a couple of times.
I was immediately reminded of that scene from Spongebob where Manray is trying to return a wallet to Patrick and Patrick denies ever seeing the wallet before in his life.
The only thing wrong with it is they should have kept the camera on her face a bit longer so we could see the "I done fucked up" look slowly wash over her face. Because you knew she was waiting for the prosecutor to get to the point of that line of questioning but hadn't yet realized it was already made.
He put in the hard work it takes to do a complete 180 and then continued to do the work to help others do a 180. He put so much work into fixing himself and then helping others fix themselves. When she came into my office she cried her crocodile tears about her husband being murdered, and months later, I read in the newspaper that she was an accomplice in his murder. She was an even bigger piece of shit than you would think.
What’s up with the women in Greeley CO? Just the other day I heard Kendall Rae’s telling of Shawna Nelson and Michelle Moore in the same town, who gunned down Heather Garraus out of pure jealousy and rage. Over some ugly guy, BTW.

The zoom in on the bald head on "hair dresser"... class
Helped by the family being so greedy, dimwitted, and untrustworthy.
@Giorne Manson, the second I heard that I was impressed totally! And many thanks to That Chapter for bringing this for us to enjoy, & I still haven't signed the dotted line on a life insurance policy just yet, I wonder why?!!😱😅😌
yeh i thought they would have put a totally different looking guy for number 2 and say well we know you lying now. But to put her own son,,, smart.

The only thing wrong with it is they should have kept the camera on her face a bit longer so we could see the "I done fucked up" look slowly wash over her face. I thought you were about to say it tears at your heart to see someone go through life with only a floating head. 😮🤣
@@ThatChapter You need a black turtle neck.
Yeah, I' usually pretty numb to the victim beyond "oh, that's terrible", but some cases grab my emotions. This is one of them. The closest people, who he provided for through his efforts, chose to off him.
@@ThatChapter who the h-e 🏒🏒 is Steve? 😂
I remember getting so excited finding out you'd done *a* video on a crime local to me... and now, every other video is either Ontario, or somewhere in Michigan or Wisconsin (or Florida). Someone should spreadsheet your videos and see which locales have the most coverage here XD
I was gonna do it then realized there's over 300 and just haven't started yet....
This is probably the slickest police tactic I've ever seen. Great job for those officers!
Great vid Mike. Another gem.
Mike"s getting better and better, had me laughing all the time.
No disrespect for Randy Baker, sad story.
Maybe Mike can do a video about you next, Gilles. Lol.
Awwww! I love how Mike sends his love at the end! It makes me feel as if we are valued! Thanks Mike! 😋
“Once they thought they got him, they didn’t got him” lol! Mike’s humor never disappoints
I love how they were smart enough to spike his smoothies but not enough to not text their whole plan on their personal phones... 😂
They also weren’t smart enough to not cash that check that happened to come from a dead man’s wallet the day after he gets killed 😂😂😂
If criminals were only half as smart as they think they are
Amen!!
@@cw2497 that’s why all the smart criminals are working with the government 💀

Seeing that chapter pop up in my notifications instantly becomes the best part of my day. Thank you so much. 😄😄😄
Right? And we are SO lucky that such an amazing channel uploads consistently and not even just once a week, but twice! These are not short or low quality videos either. He must work very hard to churn out this much amazing content.
I must say I absolutely love this man!!! His videos are hands down one of my most favorites!!! He cracks me up! Love him to pieces!
@Borat III BORAT III ….
@Borat III BORAT III You made me frown tho. What now?
*Great narrative MikeO* 🍀💚
“He didn’t want to be...a snitch. Because, they get stitches, I believe” 😂😂😂 Almost spat out my coffee, lol. Love ya Mikey
He's is my fave UA-camr, literally makes my day when he posts ❤
Same. I’m like, “Aw, Mikey. Such a sweet boy” lol

Note to self: Tell every relative that life insurance payout is being left to charity...😶
Right?????? My God!!! When I was 25, I was a single mom to my young son & I felt that I needed life insurance so I got a big policy just for him. Then 2 years later I met my husband…… NEVER told him about it. We aren’t together anymore but I’m glad I went w/ my instincts.
@@deniserossiter1059 ..............Brilliant! It pays to stay mum!
I have been disqualified from life insurance due to some numerous health issues. So to my family and relatives and beneficiaries, I am more valuable alive than dead. Just sayin'!
Personally for me he gives me the same vibes as if I’m sitting in a room with my friends talking about a case were interested in. It’s different then other channels. I often find myself talking to him through the screen like “ahh so true” or laughing to his funny little jokes .
I find myself nodding when he says certain things or saying “Uh huh”
@@MrSaltouni @Anna Lou Des This is cute. Ya'll are cute. Never change
You find yourself talking to him through the screen? Yikes
While I agree that this channel is awesome and unlike any other.. talking to the screen is a bit cringe, Anna. Maybe don't tell people that you do that.
@@I_am_a_cat_ I think you’re taking the term “talking to the screen” a little to literally🥴🥴 I don’t sit and have conversations with the screen 😂😂 and call me cringe, call me whatever you want 💖💖 I don’t know who you are so it’s nothing to me 🥰💋💋 love yewwww
Mike you do an amazing job with all of these stories. Thank you for all the work, effort and research you do and put into these for us.
Hi TC. Mike you always deliver good videos, on point. Love & hugs, Janine Smiley🙂😀🤩😍😎💎💍👓🆒️💯❗❕🍉🍇🥥🥝🥑🍍🍌🍊🍎⛼🌃🌄🌅🚞
God, that's impressive interrogation work tbh. Knowing that they'd be talking to each other so they switched out the mugshot to the nephew. It worked perfectly.
I definetly have to agree. I'm thinking there may be more tactics they use too, but don't want to give to much out, so no one else can learn their tricks...
This one was interesting it's like they didn't even try to not get caught. Texting about it? Trying to sell his car? How on earth did they think that was going to unnoticed.
Natural selection.
agreed, the same sort of people who live in the same house as the person they want to murder,
And the Harley to nephew Kelly as payment🤦🏼♀️ nahh nobody would notice such a small detail ha
I’ve never heard you say “vehicle” before and it caught me completely off guard 😂😍 you’re my favourite Channel. My husband even started watching you so he can keep up with my interests, that’s true love!
I somehow missed seeing this video when it first posted!
Yay! Because it gave me something from That Chapter to watch tonight!
The music after the detective asks “did randy have any life insurance policies” cracked me up!!!! 🤣😂🤣 this humour is a whole vibe....
You’re literally My favorite person on UA-cam! Tuesdays and Fridays are my favorite days of the week all because of you!!! So Keep up the good work!! We all love the hell outta you Mike.
Mike is the best. I think we all wish we had a friend like Mike in our lives.
Y’all do not understand how much I love Mike, and enjoy watching him and all of his sarcasm, humor, and jokes. 😭 Lmaooo. I could never get tired of this channel.
I honestly don’t get why people would start a sentence with „Y’all do not understand“ to exaggerate on subjects if it wasn’t to express desperation or put themselves in some kind of spotlight. Like just say what you gotta say and don’t gaslight us into being dumb please. 😁
Bruzzelfrosch damn, is your ego that fragile?. 😂
