I had a cutting someone gave me, and it grew out of control. I always cut to give away. After so many years of having it, it started to go down hill. I’m frustrated, but I had given my mom a cutting and she repotted. She passed last year and I got plant back. Praying it does well since it was under her care for a while. I consider it my angel plant now😞
I'm so so sorry to hear about your mother. Amazing that she can live on through that plant though. I know you'll giving it the love it needs to keep going!
Syngoniums had been my easiest plants so far. As I noticed having my syngonium for a little less than a year is that they are impossible to be overwatered. The guys are THIRSTY and whenever I forget to water for 3-4 days they start to droop. Mind you I keep them in plastic/glazed clay pots, not terracota. My personal experience only! And they're gorgeous :) got a mojito and a neon pink recently, SO excited for them to grow.
I only have one. It’s a berry allusion. But this doll has been leggy for a while! Currently in a 6” pot. I want to learn to get her upon a moss pole. She’s pretty good sized. It’s been difficult finding a video specific to our needs. Thanks for this video. Nice channel
.. I don't know which one is a favorite.. My Wendlandii is as big today as she was when I first got her.. After her first year in my house, I gave her a moss pole.. She didn't like it and decided to tell mee by giving mee yellow leaves every day until she was half the size.. For the past year she has been in Leca, and enjoying life again by giving new leaves.. She is a slow grower so she will not be in need for any support anytime soon.. I'm puzzled by my Neon Robusta, as there's nothing "Neon" about her at all.. But she's a beauty with her dusty rose and green colours.. My Green Splash i got during fall so time been spent on adjusting to new surroundings and getting through the darkest of December.. Even though she's giving 2 or 3 new leaves since January.. That's amazing.. My Maria came as a mini plant, she's also a very slow growing girl that I struggle with for a very long time.. I think that I finally found a solution for her, sitting in Leca in my bedroom window (west).. At least she looks a lot happier now.. My Confetti, both of them, came to mee in December, and though both of them have adjusted really good, they are now in Leca like the others and doing a lot better.. My beautiful Albo is in her pot with a moss pole that I gave her early last summer, she has grown twice her size, and then some, but she's in no hurry and seems to like her spot in indirect bright light.. My Butterflies are something else.. They are growing as if they were in a competition, pushing out new leaves every day, getting longer stems and looking more beautiful than ever.. Giving them Leca last year was the best thing for them.. .. I've got a rescue plant, a syngonium, that I found last fall in the compost where I live.. It was in a very bad shape and had been outside beaten up in stormy rain and icy cold for days.. I brought it home not sure of what to do with it really, and after cleaning it up I could make cuttings of some of it and the rest I potted up in pon.. In November / December after about 8 weeks, it finally showed survival and new growth.. The cuttings i made of the stems didn't all survive, unfortunately.. I've also got a Batik as a rescue, a very tiny baby that I hope will survive.. I just love Syngoniums..
Ooh interesting! I'm defo going to try it again as I feel like they should love it, just haven't got the right one just yet! Thanks for the encoruagement!
I love sygoniums! I have three beautiful varieties but they are spider mite magnets for me. So besides that they’ve still been pushing out new growth and living in a kind of dark corner! Great video!
Loved the video! I’d love to know how you get your wendlandii to keep the smaller leaves? Mine put out two leaves then go to the adult form, regardless of how often I chop them back.
I love Syngoniums! Have the typical pink neon, mango allusion, albo, mojito, pink confetti and red spot at home myself. One issue I've run into is that my two biggest ones - the neon and mango allusion, don't unfurl new growth, like at all. At some point I have to unfurl the leaves manually and then they look kinda wonky. I've tried watering less, watering more, they get plenty of sunlight. Not sure what the issue is. Any help?
.. Sometimes they just need time.. Their own time it is, not your time, but their very own 😉😊 some of mine can take a really good time as in days or weeks to unfurl new leafs, but that's just how it is.. If you "help" it unfurl, you can risk to do more harm than good aka wonky curled weird looking leafs.. Not good.. I have never ever helped any of my plants unfurl a leaf, but let them do what they do best in their own time 🤗 there's no need to rush the newborn..
I’d love to see an update on your syngoniums! It’s my favorite plant and I now have 3 varieties. 2 just acquired today. 🪴💚 One is in water and I love it that way. Wondering how long it can stay in water. And if the others would convert? Clippings maybe?
I love black so so much that's why I'm a big fan of syngonium erithophylum and wendlandii cause they has the darkest leaves... But I'm a huge fan of neon robusta cause it brightens up a dark corner with It's gorgeous foliage 🥰🥰🥰
I like Syngoniums. I have a Pink spot, a Wendlandii ,an Albo which is definitely a very slow grower😔 a Neon Robusta, a milk Confetti and a Batik. They are prone to affids and spider mites so be careful. They love spagnum moss to clime and propagate. Great video dear!! Thank you ❣️
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with a slow growing albo.. mine has just been sitting exactly the same for AAAAGES! Sounds like you have quite the collection 😍🌱💚
I love syngonium. Strawberry ice and grey ghost are my favourite 😍

Really helpful video - particularly the fluctuations of grow light use and moss as a rooting medium. Thank you
My 2 current favorites are my 3 Kings and my Frosted Heart (I recently acquired a HUGE one, so now I have 2!) And I think my Wendlandii is blooming!!!
OMG 3 kings is defo one on my syngonium wishlist! and crazy, I didn't realise they could bloom! Would love to see a pic, DM me on IG?
Great video, thank you! I do have quite a few syngoniums in pon and they love it. I guess it's the extra humidity.
Ooh interesting! I'm defo going to try it again as I feel like they should love it, just haven't got the right one just yet! Thanks for the encoruagement!
Great video, you covered all the details!! I just got my first and it's a starlight ❤
My favorite is the Syngonium angustatum ❤
Same! Recently I fall in love with them as well - grey ghost (green splash) is so gorgeous 😍
Ahhh I know! That's why I was so sad when it didn't revive... Hopefully will get another one soon though 🤞

Ooh interesting! I'll have to keep an eye out for spidermites on mine! Thanks for the tip
Loved this as I seem to have acquired more Syngoniums than anything else (Philodendrons coming a close 2nd!). Thanks for the helpful tips.
.. The very same in my house ☺️🌞 I'm happy to know I'm not the only one with this 🤗

Haha how odd. I've not had it produce any leave bigger.. maybe mine's just a baby baby plant
Love my pink splash Syngonium!

how odd! The only time I've experienced that with plants was when they had pests. Have you checked for those?

Mine dries out so fast, it's annoying and I got to hang her in a greenhouse for humidity
