Syngoniums are maybe my favorites. Easy to grow and oh so many unique leaf options. Low light good, high light good, wet good, dry good, high humidity good, low humidity good. The most "Low Maintenance Hot Blonds on the market!" lol Thanks Kaylee.
This is why syngoniums are probably my favourite genus! So much variations and colours many being very affordable and easy to keep and propagate!💚 Also you NEED to get a frosted heart syngonium! So georgous!
I find that the milk confetti's full potential is truly brought out when you put them under bright lights. the pink variegation really comes through more intense and sometimes in sectoral chunks and/or half moons. but too bright and the whole leaf bleaches down to a very pale green so ymmv lmao. I would still suggest increasing the lights on your milk confetti though!
Ngern Lai Ma means money flowing in. It’s what all syngoniums are called in Thailand actually. Followed by the different colors. Syngoniums are considered to be one of the good luck plants that’ll bring fortune into your homes 😀
My favorite is the Magic Marble. It looks like a painting of a dark tropical leaf painted on a creamy light green canvas. I think it’s stunning and is definitely topping my wish list!!
I love Syngoniums. I have 28 varieties. The grey ghost is one of my favorites. My red spot tricolor was $295 just a few weeks ago so they are still pretty pricey here in the states. My aurea was $95. The salmons are even more expensive. I really enjoyed this Syngonium video. Thank you for making it.
I got my tricolor a few months back for 140 euros i believe.. but ive seen them go up for alotttt less lately here in the Netherlands. Well under 100 for a rooted cutting. So lets hope the same happens around the globe for you guys across the globe :)
@@Giaphaige America and Canada have really high prices for some cultivars. Sweden in Europe is pricey, but here in Finland things are a lot cheaper. I'm not sure why that is because everything else costs more as Finland is quite remote and there's no land-bridge to central Europe, whereas Sweden has the bridge so they can drive. From Finland, you either fly or take the cruise ship to Sweden, then drive south.
Crazy how the price dropped, i got my tricolor for just 10Euro (about 10USD). That was a crazy good price, in stores its different there its about 30-50Euro.
I've had my syngonium strawberry cream in leca for about a year and I recently put it in a greenhouse cabinet and it exploded in new growth with huge leaves so it seems like a little extra humidity really helps! Excellent video, these are starting to become my favorite genus
I e been able to grow them in water, Pon, leca, and soil. My only issue with syngoniums has been finding the right light for them to maintain their variegation. The grey ghost is my favorite and it's been easy peasy.
syngoniums are so cute! They always look better IRL. Could you make a video about plants that have 3 colours? Would be nice have plants from different families but all tricolor-ish collected :D
I like both the yellow and white syngonium, but white is my fav of the 2. I have a 3 leaf syngonium albo and all 3 leaves have babies n I'm so excited to c ehat I get from them.
I was able to score quite a big and thriving pink splash for 30 dollars a month ago, and now i am obsessed with syngoniums. I propagated some of the pink splash so now i have two! I plan on making more. I just love them!
Thank you, Kaylee, this video is right up my alley and comes at just the right time. I recently fell in love with the Albo, so I bought one. Less than a week later I bought a second one lol. Already propagating from the first one, and I am ready for more! I appreciate having all of these discussed in one place... wrote them all down, too! Going to hunt down an Aurea next. :)
I bought a big Syngonium Batik a few months ago. It was sent to me with big long vines that I thought were completely bare. Turns out though, this plant regrows leaves! It's fantastic. If I leaf dies, it has a little node at the base that will just regrow it. It's easily my lowest-stress plant.
How funny that you posted this the day after I ordered some syngonium albo and mojito cuttings! 😂 I’ve never loved the plain ones but I’m excited for some fun and affordable variegation!!
I've got the Syngonium Grey Ghost grown under bright led light and I love it ! Very correct speed of growth while staying quite compact with short internodes (the opposite of the Mojito 🤣) and all my new leaves are quite heavily blushed with pink. An another species you could have added (for a next video??) is Syngonium erythrophyllum with his marvelous and stunning deep burgundy colours!
I just got my syngonium erythrophyllum today. I didn’t want another podophyllum and I love rich beautiful colors. The leaves are thick and nearly black with burgundy on the back. Just chef’s kiss.
I got into syngoniums HARD this year. I had to downsize my plant collection after I moved house across the US, and decided to have a more curated collection, made up mostly of different varieties of syngonium. This video is right on time.
Milk Confetti and Grey Ghost are on my wishlist 😍 I'd never seen the little Ngern? Before, and now I need it 😅 looks like a perfect little desk plant....
Help! How do you keep your pink syngonium pink? Mine come in this beautiful bright pink, but turn a muddy color as they harden off. I have 3 different pink varieties, including the splash, and they all do this 😕
I recently got a baby maria allusion as a mystery gift. Not to sure whether I like it or not, but it survived two weeks of low light and no water over the christmas break so it earned its place on my shelf :D
For years I’ve just grown the common green. Does great outdoors, not as good inside for the cooler months. Probably because I’ve been under watering. Now I’ve added Pink Perfection and Red Arrow.
10:51 I find in US it goes under name Green SPLASH. mostly. I love it! I have almost all of them save for 3 or 4 , this is on my wishlist. And I have a few of the white byt prefer the aurea myself.
Syngoniums are the prettiest when they're Young but they tend to look different as they Grow. Pink Splash for an instance , Super Nice Variegation in Juvenile Form but they will get less and less Pink as they Mature. You better keep them Pruning to maintain there Sassiness 😊😊 I got most of them and looking forward for the Pink Salmon and Green Splash 😍🌿
I have a syngonium podophyllum 'pink'. I just started getting into houseplants and my budget is around $20 US so I get very small plants in 3" pots. Someday I'll feel comfortable spending more $$$ on my houseplants
I am obsessed with syngonium! I'm starting to collect them. So far I have a massive syngonium fantasy, some white butterflies, wendlandii, augustatum schott, and three kings!
Ngern Lai ma is hard to translate to English I would say (at least for me.) It’s more like a lucky phrase meaning money keeps coming in. I hope it helps!
I just ordered Ngem Lai Ma and Three Kings. I am also excited about the Panda, Frosted Heart, and Pink Spot I got recently :) kind of on a Syngonium kick right now.
I love syngonium’ !!! I want them all!! I have neons, Pink splash ,milk confetti, 3 kings, red spot tri colour, albo, syngonium wendlandii, and just a plain Jane goose foot.
So apparently, after some searching, red spot tricolor is still mid triples here and I just can’t. I’m talking $300+ for a small plant. I’m just going to buy one from you if I ever see one. Shipping and importing will still be cheaper lol
My yellow and white are my struggle bus plants. White came in unrooted and full of fungus gnats back when they were expensive. It’s just now happy and healthy. New yellow just shriveled up and died. Another one is on the way.
I love Syngonium! Especially Grey Ghost and Milk Confetti... Well, actually all of my Syngonium lol. These are on my wishlist: Holly Panda Ngern Lai Ma Pink Salmon Red Spot Tricolor Macrophyllum Frosted Heart Chiapense, especially the variegated one
Syngonium are my absolute favorite but here in the US, most of the ones you are showing are still pretty pricey. Closer to $100+. The Ngern, milk confetti (most are regular confetti sold as milk 🙄) aurea, green spot (impossible to find) panda, red spot, pink salmon are very rare here and usually only found from private sellers who mark them up. So though I don't have any mentioned above, my favorite in my collection is the 3 kings and carti road.
Omg I love that tricolor, I had a quick look at fb marketplace in my area (NSW Australia) and the only one I found is listed at over $600 😭 absolutely stunning.
I think i prefer the yellow variegation syngonium. I dont have one, but i hate my albo. It keeps giving me full albo leaves and i have to keep cutting it back.
I have the 3 Kings and the pink syngonium and I love them, definitely want to get more too I’m not a huge fan of the Panda so not sure what the appeal is but I definitely want the Pink Salmon but more for the name than the color, and I do like the Aurea too, the white is pretty but I just prefer the yellow variegation
I definitely prefer the yellow variegation and have been looking for an Aurea for ages 😔 white variegation just melts in my care I happened upon a $3 clearance, rain waterlogged reverted albo that I’ve now got on a pole, it was a single plant and a runner that I’ve propagated like 10 times over now😅. It is literally theeee cutest thing 🪴, about 4ft tall now. And he has a little bro that just got his own pole yesterday *Gotta* recreate it with the yellow var 😍

Glad the red spot is getting affordable now 🎉!

@@VeracityHabit mine too. He loves plants too so we watch together 😂
In Florida I grow syngoniums on my porch and patio in pots because if planted in the ground they take over. My favorite is Thai Pink Splash.
yeah most people dont know. syngoniums are very fast grower and can take over a garden in 3 months 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I have most of these too but the tricolour is like $600 here in canada, so I can just dream 🥲
