So I really like your content and this is being said with 100% respect and I'm absolutely not trying to be a troll, but whenever I see people go to Nobu I cringe. I would highly recommend watching Seaspiracy on Netflix so you know more about the commercial fishing industry (where literally all of these places get their supply from) and all the cruelty as well as murd3r involved of dolphins, sharks, and even people who work in that industry too. Commercial fishing is HUGELY corrupt and people are getting ki11ed, and so many dolphins and sharks are slaughtered accidentally as "byproduct" of the fishing nets and the machinery they use. It depletes the ocean substantially and is responsible for SO MUCH pollution omfg. It's literally one of the worst industries I can think of and I wish more people cared about this kind of stuff. Sucks to see you talk about how much you love sushi :/
I appreciate you noting this as I also detest the destruction of the oceans and marine life, but I’d like to remind anyone that sees this to also look at other sources of information past Seaspiracy. It was definitely made with specific messages in mind, and some of them are questionable if not problematic like their framing of pollution coming mostly from fishing gear (studies show most actually come from garbage from land) and putting the blame mostly on consumers rather than the industry itself. Participants in the documentary have also come forth stating the documentary did not use their words accurately. Definitely urge people who’ve seen it and recommend it to look at other sources to discern the topic better.
