I really appreciate tutorials as I’m a visual learner. I learned (from books) crochet before the days of YT and YT tutorials have really helped SO much. Thank you for taking the time to make your tutorials. ☺ These are very pretty, excited to make them.
I follow quite a few people who put out patterns and ideas. YOU are one of the few who: ¹ includes patterns at no charge ² gives DETAILED written and video instructions, and ³ offers sensible ideas that everyone would want to make or get as a gift! being fairly new to crochet, this is so appreciated!! 🥰 happy holidays 🤍
?? What are you taking about?? ALL of her UA-cam tutorials are for babies and won’t give you the measurements for any other sizes even though she also gets money from OUR views!
@@Holly_Grail say that again please, why offer other sizes and only make baby and small kids videos, the one in adult that are shown are incomplete, if we do the kids videos why not do a complete one for adults, small is ok but give the measurements for larger sizes for free sometimes since most of you only go to medium size works, thank you for listening
I just finished my first beanie. It came out really cute. I have been crocheting for a few months now. I see that the rim of yours came out much more flush and mine has more ridges. Not sure what I'm doing but all my stiches have the same in each row. Also the ribbing stitched just after the puff stiches are more wavy than the ridges crocheted before the puffs. Not sure about what I did there either. The slip stich at the end of each row also left an uneven space. I used a yarn that is multicolored so overall it came out pretty good for my first. I will try another and see what happens. This one took me a weekend of evenings to finish. Love the videos as it helps me learn what the patterns are saying. 💕 I bought this pattern on your Etsy store. 💗
Hello. I am inspired by your work. I knitted a sweater for my son using your lessons, and now I’m knitting this hat. I apologize for the errors in the text, I am from another country. Thank you again and wish you creative success.🥰
Even though we have summer during Christmas, I have to make 5 beanies of which one is for a female. I simply love this pattern as I can use it for the gents as well. Thank you so much for sharing this. Now to try and adjust my eyes to work with black yarn...over 60 and black does not work out so well 😂
Such a pretty pattern! Also, so kind of you to make it available to everyone by video. I can’t wait to make mine. You are also very good at giving instructions.
Hi Mj newbie here I can’t wait to try this! I love that everything is in your description box. And your demonstration was easy to watch! I’ll come back with my finished product!
Love this beanie❣️ I am not good with patterns & trying to adjust sizes, I need adult size & hoping I can figure it out & keep the stitch count straight…😂 Truly appreciate you taking the time to make these tutorials to teach so many here🤗
These hats are sooooo cute. I’m not the best at reading instructions, but could I follow this but add more rows for adult size. I think I could follow this. I’m going to try anyway. Thank you so much!
Hi I Love this hat. Can you bring the camera up close when showing where you are going to place the first few stitches of a new row? If that makes sense. It is hard sometimes to determine where to place it. ( On your future videos.) Thanks
Just loved how simply you explained it Nd kept it short n precise , i m surely gonna give it a try for my new born... Excited already and thanks for sharing ❤
I am finding that working the puff stitch round in reverse a tad bit frustrating. So I modified the pattern to keep working in one direction by replacing the puff stitch with a 3hdc popcorn stitch. So far, so good.
Hi MJ. I love this hat! Bought the pattern. In making it though, I must be doing something wrong. The columns that are formed are going rather diagonally, rather than straight up as yours appear to do. I've ripped out and redone multiple times, watching your video as I go. It appears I am going into the stitches correctly. Any suggestions?
MJ I purchased your pattern on Ravelry to make Christmas gifts for my family so don’t want to ask them to measure their heads so can you tell me what size you are wearing is it the Adult or Adult Large as that will help me a lot. Beautiful pattern thank you! 🧡🍁🍂
Do the decrease rounds stay the same even if the beanie I made had to be larger with more stitches? The hole looks so big after I’ve made the final decrease round and I’m scared to cut my yarn to close it up lol
When doing the first row with the puff stitch…if I chain one after doing the actual puff stitch I end up with an extra stitch for each set of four… do I not chain after that?
I’m confused because it looks like you only have 8 stitches when you finish the double crochets before finishing off but mine has 16 and I followed your directions exactly. Did you go around a second time to get to 8 stitches?
AT FIRST, I had the same problem. Look for the word MORE (I think it was in blue)... That should let you scroll through the description, materials, links to buy the patterns and links to all her materials.
So, I’m trying to work on this hat. I asked this question in facebook but no one answered, so I’ll try here. When I start the first row of fpdc I had 72 stitches, perfect, that’s what I want. But when I started the first row with the puffs, no matter what I do, I have way more than 72 stitches. I’ve torn it out so many times, counted and recounted and still it doesn’t work out. The strange thing is my fpdc are all right🤦🏻♀️ Can anyone help me?
@ after working on it all day, I gave up. Im not the best at crocheting, but I can follow along pretty good when working along with the video. I don’t have anyone around me that crochets to ask. I moved on to another hat from someone else. I just love this one though 🤷🏻♀️
@ not counting the chain one. The row before is 72. I don’t get what I could have been doing wrong. I worked on that for three days and finally gave up. I was off by a lot. I learn by watching and I followed you to the T. Thanks for responding, sorry to have wasted your time. Have a nice day 🌻
A 4 year old I would make the child size. You could go with the toddler for the baby to be safe if they have a big head. If you can get measurements check the size chart.
Hey, I'm having trouble with the stitch count..... When chaining 1 after the puff stitch am I counting the chain as a stitch? I'm I should be getting 68 on round 2 and everytime I'm counting I'm getting 80+ 😭
This happened to me too and I don’t think she’s counting the ch1 in the puff stitch as a stitch - if you subtract your puff stitches you should have your original stitch count

Hi! I’m still fairly new to crochet. Can you help me understand how to adjust the brim for a six month old?
Lovely but difficult to see how it’s done
Please, where do you get your tags from?
brickbubble.ca
Where can I get your tags, and pom Pom please respond.
She said from Amazon
Hi MJ, your pattern says 4.5mm & 5mm hooks. But in this video you say you're using a 4mm and 5mm. Which one should we be using?
I messed up when I made that mention of the sizes. I used a 4.5mm for the brim
@mjsoffthehook thank you.
You crochet beautiful hats. Do you have any scarves to go along?
Muchas gracias, por tan hermosos gorros...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋♀️🙋♀️🌈🌈🌈💖💖🌺🌺🌺
Love the pattern but I can't find number for female adults
I thought there was a free pattern, can someone direct me where to find it? Thanks in advance

#4 yarn and you need 1 ball of Brava Tweed 😊

I wanted to ask you. My pattern is a little uneven and skewed, is that how it should be? Although I knit everything exactly the same as you.
This pattern should not work up skewed, are you turning the rounds and positive you are working in the correct stitches?
@@mjsoffthehook Hello. I corrected my mistakes, everything turned out perfect. Thank you very much.✌
What if you’re making it for a baby age 9 months and a toddler age 4? I don’t have them with me so I would be giving them as a gift
