I have been crocheting for 60 years, yes, I am telling my age, this is the first and most thorough explanation of crochet I have ever seen. This is a fabulous tutorial. Thank you!! New subscriber here.
❤❤I started when I was little. Like 10 as a way to involve myself with my mom and gran. That was 29 years ago now and over the years I've gone for long periods doing it and long not so alot of the cooler patterns and stitch work are gone from memory....for me at least this isn't like the "riding a bike" joke. IDK why but it's not. Sometimes it's a GOOD IDEA to sit down and watch a tutorial...yes even the basic of stitches can be forgotten nevermind the more difficult one!! 😂 I find videos help. Especially if you learn through watching some else. All I need to do is gather my supplies and sit down. I pause, rewind, slow the video ...I always get confused with the pattern direction because of the abbreviations and the directions may as well be in a dead language in my case. Whatever it takes. So THANK you to all you people patient enough to teach slackers like me. PS IF ANYONE ELSE HAS AN ISSUE WITH LEARNING THE ABBREVIATIONS LIKE ME IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE IT EASIER TO LEARN? I use a lot of time relearning stuff and I'm sure there's a trick to it. Lol
I'm a very experienced crocheter and I usually hate watching crochet videos (too slow for my needs), but there's something about your voice, your pace, your close up on the work that I found compelling! I listened to the whole thing. And I'm gonna make this hat today! Thanks!

I know this video is 2 years old but it popped up on my timeline today and I’m so glad it did. Not only is this a great tutorial, but it also includes wonderful tips and tricks. My slip stitches are super tight (I’m a tense crocheter LOL) and this explained why they’re tight and how to adjust/accommodate that. Thank you!!!

This is the best teacher I have ever seen bar my mom, but not everyone has access to my mom. She explains everything so clearly, giving the reasons for everything. I am planning on showing this to my granddaughters

Love, love, love this stitch pattern & its sooo easy! I crochet winter hats/beanies for my local pantry (they have clothes too) & I've made 3 of these hats already & am working on a 4th. Using a lighter weight yarn - #4 - but the pattern still looks great. Thanx so much for your clear instructional videos💕💕
Also....everyone crochets differently so I found placing the sc stitches in the ridges instead of the valleys worked better for me. And I've made this hat a different sizes just by adding or subtracting the rows of ribbing. Just a reeeeally great stitch. So versatile.💕💕
