Athena is not Odysseus's mother, Athena is actually one of the few Greek gods who had retained their purity and remained a virgin. There is a story where she and Hephaestus get close while he forged her special weapons but Hephaestus misinterpreted her intentions and got rejected.
i think they are refering to Percy Jackson Lore, there Athena can have child but she gave born them with the mind, like she, so she is still pure; and there Odysseus is one of her child sorry for my bad english :p
I love Wolff’s artistic choices with the main three, especially concerning their hair. Odysseus, as the main character, has triangular shaped locks, as triangles are the most diverse shape. They can be strong, as all of the vertices of triangles are locked, and they can be dangerous and pointy. Polites has round curly hair, a wispy look that is reminiscent of both his round bouncy nature and also his curly whispy lasting impression on Odysseus long after his death. Finally Eurylochus has straight and blocky hair, closely shaven, giving him the impression of a strong moral support while also being hard on Odysseus to do the sensible thing. It’s insane that simple shapes can carry so much meaning!
Oh, something that another fan noticed, firstly Athena sings “mind” on only one high note (Odysseus sings it “mi-i-i-i-i-ind” using a few notes), after that he and Athena sing it with Athena’s one high note and Odysseus’ few notes, and the second duo has both of them singing “mi-i-i-i-i-ind” showing their connection and harmonization. Athena stays in the few notes at the end. You could also show drifting away in the same way. Another thing, adding to the angel and devil thing, the lower voice represents the harshness of the character, while Polites’ high voice showcases his optimism. It’s also supposed to differentiate them, cause one said ‘go attack them’ and the other says ‘go and be friends with them’. Fun fact: Athena is a maiden goddess. The children of Athena made out of thoughts thingy was made for PJO exclusively. And an owl is Athena’s sacred animal. And look out for ‘the danger theme’. There is a motif in music called the danger theme added by Jay.
In the original demos for the songs, the characters were voiced by Jorge, but in the official concept album all characters have been cast, including the soldiers. Zeus is performed by Luke Holt And the soldiers are a 6 man ensemble performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans(voice of Odysseus and Polyphemus), Luke Holt (voice of Zeus and Elpenor), Armando Julian (voice of Eurylochus), Aryon Alexander, Troy Doherty (voice of Hermes), and Earl Gresham Jr.
Oh, idk if I should correct this... But Eurylochus isn't an acoustic guitar. His instrument is the choir of men, as he is the voice of the crew. Odysseus is the guitar, electric when he's fighting, acoustic when he's not. Edit: Also, Epic is fully sung through. No spoken dialogue.
the way the first pjo series is structured is very cool cause most of the books can be tied to a specific greek hero's journey (lightning thief is based off perseus, last olympian off achilles, etc.) so if you've read sea of monsters you really have a basic summary of the odyssey! the greek gods are very linked to their sacred animals and appear in their form to mortals a lot. for zeus it's the eagle (the bird in the horse and the infant) and for athena the owl. that's why they're associated with wisdom and why the athenians had the famous little owl in their coins.
One of the funniest things about owls being Athenas animal and representing wisdom is that if you've ever worked with them they are maybe the least intelligent group of birds to exist. There is nothing going on in those hollow little heads, and they're basically just a feathery tube for processing meat with some instincts slapped on. Amazing hunters but nothing between the ears in the way of higher thought. I absolutely love them but the irony of their reputation vs the reality is hilarious to me.
@@HorseChild book 3 is less clear and way more vague but i'd say heracles cause he plays a big part in zoë's backstory, though it doesn't really reflect his adventures like it does the others' (but i could be forgetting something, it's been a while). book 4 are theseus and dedalus!
33:08 so here the ensemble behind odysseus are brought up by Athena when sung in song on “Athena” and “arena” and stuff. She liked how young odysseus was fanboying over her basically (it’s adorable😭🤍)
hey, just fun little fact for a part of the open arms animatic. when Polites throws an apple to Odysseus that's basically asking a wedding proposal in Ancient Greece. thought that was a fun little detail that the animator used.
In the part "Open Arms" when Polites threw an apple at Odysseus.. did you know that according to Greek myth, throwing an apple at someone means professing your love to them. If they catch it, it means they love you too. So, I guess that's why he dropped it? Haha or maybe not😬😄
I've never seen a person make a raspberry to signal for a Time Out! but I absolutely loved it. I believe Jorge got in contact with Zeus' singer Luke early enough to bring him in to Troy Saga! I am so glad, he really adds a lot of Handsome, Deep-Toned Drama!
Oh no, Jorge doesn’t voice Zeus. I think Mortius is confusing it with Jorge’s TikToks, where he posted snippets of the songs sung by him. There are a lot of those from already released songs and from future ones too.
right now its just a concept so obv a lot can change but yeah it is sung through, the one thing im worried abt is some of the transitions from songs are really harsh, and even tho jay said he doesnt ever plan to bring it on stage cuz its just not that type of musical i feel as though people listening through can lose the plot sometimes and i really hope he adds more clarification, sticks out most to me with the transition from open arms to warrior of the mind i know when i first watched i was like wait where are we now
36:18 the runs show like how eventually Athena starts trusting odysseus as she is “influenced”by him essentially. Since the first “mind” they harmonized jay did a special run then they do it together then she does it alone.
I love how neither of you, when Polites asks where to find more food, catches the fact that the Lotus Eaters reply with: “A cave! Scary cave!” 😂 the Lotus Eaters know what’s in the cave.
23:23 I've watched this animatic a dozen times and just noticed Polities basically proposes to Odysyus because in Greece it was tradition to throw someone an apple as a wedding proposal and if they caught it they accept Edit- just realised it's only sparta
When you react to the Cyclops saga I suggest watching all of Mircsy's videos on it. (The same one who made the Open Arms and Warrior of the Mind, you watched here) The videos are on: Polyphemous Survive and My Goodbye. Polyphemous flows well into Survive, while Mircsy's My Goodbye is, to my mind, the best animatic on that song.
16:29 those letters are from the IPA (international phonetic alphabet), if I remeber correctly from my courses in linguistics. It is used to write languages by sound, not orthography or writing system. You can see it used in dictionaries (or Wikipedia articles), it basically tells you how to pronounce things/how words sound. I believe the animators name would be pronounced "mirt-shee", based on what I remember about the letters :) If they did in fact use the IPA, that's just what it looks like to me
Or, alternatively, it could be mir-chee, as in IPA /͡tʃ/ is also used for the 'ch' sound like in chair or Charizard. Edit: After a bit of research, she indeeds confirms on her tumblr that it's mir-chee, as I think she's Hungarian, and 'cs' is indeed pronounced as ch there.
@@Kamarovsky_KCM true! Although, if I think about it, the pronounciation is actually pretty much the same I guess, only difference would be to what syllable you say the /t/ belongs to
@@seeschwalbe Hah I suppose if you speak it fast then yeah hardly a difference. Though personally I would look at you funny if you pronounced 'chair' as 'tshair' lmao
@@Kamarovsky_KCM well, now you had me saying various versions of "chair" to myself for like two minutes straight😂 But seriously, would there be an actual difference do you think? Because to me as a native German speaker, the consonants in the phrases "the chair" and for example "that share" sound pretty much the same (if you do the "linking" of the words like in a sentence). Maybe the "sh"-sound in "chair" is a liiittle bit harsher, but it's really hard for me to find a difference there tbh (Also I don't have the IPA to write with on here, unfortunately)
@@seeschwalbe Haha I can imagine. But yeah, by pronunciation rules there is quite a difference between the two. 'Ch' is a sibilant affricate, and to paraphrase the Wikipedia meaning, it means it is produced by first stopping the air flow entirely, and then doing the hissy thing, and 'Sh' is a fricative, so it only involves the hissy thing. Kinda like a difference between 'ts' at the end of cats, and an 's'. Or to give an example more fitting for German, as it appears both sounds occur in there: The 'ch' sound is like 'tsch' in Matsch, and 'sh' is like 'sch' in schon. Hope this helps!
I mean it's the Odyssey. He's Odysseus. His name's in the title! More than that, Athena in real myth has only apprentices, not children. She, alongside Hestia and Artemis is part of the group of the 3 virgin goddesses. She does not have children, and even in percy jackson they explained it away as her basically using magic to make children rather than actual anything. Odysseus is however the great grandchild of hermes! His maternal grandfather is a legendary shapeshifting thief.
Also i dont know if someone said but what other people said its widely, known greek gods dont appear i mean they will but not usually. They speak through your head all the time so Odysseus change in personality is him literally having a whole conversation with his god. in real time what feels like seconds but in his heads its minutes so thats actually why in open arms its portrayed like that and also later on th soloders arnt freaking out when Athena suddenly appears to give Odysseus advice cause the whole conversations happened in his head
7:37 I remember Odysseus via the name of the book being “The Odyssey”. Odyssey means journey, and the book is about his journey! (Yes, the meaning of Odyssey comes from the book)
I think other people might have mentioned it- BUT! here's a fun fact I cant get out of my head since I learned it: In Warrior Of The Mind, when Athena firstly sings the chorus by herself, she holds the note in 'Mind'. Later, when she and Odysseus sing together for the first time, she _still_ holds the note there, but Odysseus makes a fun run in the background (which is the part that sounded GORGEOUS and you both loved so much haha). The second time they sing "We are the warriors of the mind" together, it seems Athena noticed that Odysseus does something differently with his vocals, so she also does the run instead of holding the high note like before. Essentially doing what Odysseus does instead of her own method before knowing him. AND when she sings alone again, she still does the run of notes instead of what she did before meeting Odysseus. This is to show basically how their relationship started fo build. The trust she put on him. She started knowing Odysseus- and the fact it is shown musically like that makes it SOOOO cool. Mr. Jalapeño is a GENIUS. Please re-listen to the song and see what I mean. I can't no longer listen to it without noticing how Athena essentially adapts to him. How she _accepts_ him and embraces his ways to a certain level. Great video btw!
I think you two have a really good reaction dynamic, especially for this. You tend to get emotionally impacted by similar things which resonates well, but you each have different areas of expertise. That lets you give unique feedback that builds off of one another. I hope you'll consider reacting together to more Epic content and maybe other musicals in the future, because the dynamic works very well.
i think this might be one of, if not the best, Epic reactions Ive seen yet! I love the dynamic between the two of you and the way you analyze both story, music, AND animation. Usually I find its one or the other but you two are great! I cant wait to see your thoughts on the rest of the musical!
"I have no idea what that was" The sheep. As you (Mortius) said next is the cyclops saga, the "thanks for watching" has an eye inside the only O in the sentence, and the sheep from the cave can be heard on the background :)
I love that in Warrior of the Mind you hear Athena at first do the Miiiiiind at a high note, then when Odysseus is added he does a bit of a run while Athena still does the high note. Next time they do it together they do the run together symbolizing their growing relationship. Then Athena does the run on her own. It's so fucking peak, I love the attention to detail in this song writing
I'm so happy to see new people getting into EPIC! I truly hope you dive into this series! Also, only nitpick I have about the video is that Casper's audio is pretty quiet compared to the animatic and Mortius.
i only hope you two keep reacting to this show its amazing. So, i wanted to detail some details of the song, when athena sings "its a warrior of the mind" in the first time she mantain the note high. Then when she sings with odysseus she still mantain the note high but odyseus makes that rift with the voice pointing he's own personality and then, when athena sings that line again in the end she makes the rift that odysseus did so its kind of intentional cause Jorge explains that Athena in this song established a conection with odysseus so, we can think like athena also makes her personality based in the mood of odysseus even when she design him (This detail it also appears in other songs but, im not gonna spoil until you reach that moment
“It’s not Hamilton where each song goes in to the next” yeah it it’s confirmed by Jorge it is only sung in epic it’s just hard to explain everything in a 2 hour musical
Fun Facts: While Polites and Ody were childhood friends Eurylochus usually wasn't. He comes from an island near Ithaca, I believe the name was Same. He is Ody's second because Eury married Ctimene, Odysseus's younger sister. In case you wanted some background... to make things... idk I'll go with 'better'. Edit: little late and all but: Odysseus, main character of "The Odyssey"... Ody works too, its what most of us call him. OH! Fun Fact 2: while it isn't the one shown Polites is a kind of butterfly! Edit 2: Everyone seems to miss "A scary cave..." that comes in quietly after the other Winions say "A cave!" Edit 3: Even more than just being Athena's project for so long, the most accepted family heritage for Ody is that his Great Grandfather is Hermes... so when Zeus (Hermes's dad) shows up and warns him of a dire threat Ody listened.
Another aspect of this musical is reflected in Just A Man. Ody is basically operating as a favored mortal in a chess game played by the gods. Even Zeus warning him was a move on the.board, not out of true concern. He spends the whole musical relying on luck and wit to barely survive, while refusing to acknowledge it to anyone else.
I can’t wait! I’ve been waiting since I saw the early access video on Mortius’s Patreon, and I can’t wait to see how you react to the rest of The Troy Saga! I’m so excited!
When Mortius said Polites is his everything I just thought of odysseus singing "she's my everything, my penelope" in there are other ways, so now I'm imagining a parody about polites instead
Jorge, the creator, is a musical genius. Listen closely in "Open Arms." The Lotus Eaters have little interjections that you have to listen pretty closely to to hear. In "Warrior of the Mind," Athena first sings 'Mind' with a sustained note. When Odysseus comes in and he first sings 'Mind' he sings it as a vocal run, or melisma. After Athena hears him sing it like that she does the same showing that while she is teaching him, he is teaching her as well.

I was SO EXCITED to see your reaction to this - it's so much fun! I LOVED seeing you and Mortius react to Epic - it's really interesting getting the musical and story/character perspectives - and I really hope we get to see you do the other sagas. I'm so happy you're enjoying it! 💖
the way that i always remember the names is jorge does this really useful thing that hamilton also does and honestly all musicals should do where they put the names to a specific melody, like "aaron burr, sir" "alexander hamilton" "the schyuler sisters" you think the names to the melody when you remember them which makes them stick much better in your head and whenever the character comes up, that melody and rhythm is repeated. you'll notice this especially with penelope and telemachus but polites is also a good example of jorge using this trick to his advantage
14:45 The weird symbols in the name are from the IPA (international phonetic alphabet)! The small caps i, ⟨ɪ⟩, represents the "i" sound in "fish", while the t followed by the long s, ⟨tʃ⟩, represents the "ch" sounds in "church". In the IPA, ⟨r⟩ technically represents a trilled r sound, but sometimes Iˈve also seen it used in looser enɡlish transcriptions for /ɹ/, which is the typical enɡlish r sound, so without context itˈs hard to know for sure.

i think they are refering to Percy Jackson Lore, there Athena can have child but she gave born them with the mind, like she, so she is still pure; and there Odysseus is one of her child
sorry for my bad english :p
I fucking died from those mnemonics 😂 “You-really-cussed” and “Polite-s” 😂😂😂
And Odysseus is from the Odyssey!
"Po sei don" GIVES ME CHILLS EVERY TIME I HEAR IT
Exactly what I was talking about
@@Natalia-cm8im It's so intensely clear to hear because the danger isn't near, the danger _is here._ 😆
Great time! You can really tell this was filmed before listening to the Underworld Saga. 😅😅😅
Right? I was like, "Oh, sweet summer children..."
The Polities design is inspired by Steven Dookie his VA, like many other characters
In the original demos for the songs, the characters were voiced by Jorge, but in the official concept album all characters have been cast, including the soldiers.
Zeus is performed by Luke Holt
And the soldiers are a 6 man ensemble performed by
Jorge Rivera-Herrans(voice of Odysseus and Polyphemus), Luke Holt (voice of Zeus and Elpenor), Armando Julian (voice of Eurylochus), Aryon Alexander, Troy Doherty (voice of Hermes), and Earl Gresham Jr.
Fun fact: Odysseus is Hermes' Great Great grandson from his mother side
Just great grandson. Anticlea's (Odysseus's mom) father is Autolycus (probably spelling that wrong) and Autolycus is Hermes's son.
@@carlycchapman oh thanks the greek family tree gets confusing for me i lose track of who's whose
@@kirakizumi9028 Don't we all 😂
the way the first pjo series is structured is very cool cause most of the books can be tied to a specific greek hero's journey (lightning thief is based off perseus, last olympian off achilles, etc.) so if you've read sea of monsters you really have a basic summary of the odyssey!
the greek gods are very linked to their sacred animals and appear in their form to mortals a lot. for zeus it's the eagle (the bird in the horse and the infant) and for athena the owl. that's why they're associated with wisdom and why the athenians had the famous little owl in their coins.
@@feistsorcerer2251I’ve nothing to add I just wanna say I love your description of owls’ No Thoughts Head Empty nature it made me snort
I’m stupid so what is book 3 and 4?
@@HorseChild book 3 is less clear and way more vague but i'd say heracles cause he plays a big part in zoë's backstory, though it doesn't really reflect his adventures like it does the others' (but i could be forgetting something, it's been a while). book 4 are theseus and dedalus!
You may also call Jorge: Mr Jalapeño, Jorgy Porgy, Pimbo Jimbo.
(If I've left out any, I'm sure others can elaborate)
The silent "he'll get there" at 30:17😭
33:08 so here the ensemble behind odysseus are brought up by Athena when sung in song on “Athena” and “arena” and stuff. She liked how young odysseus was fanboying over her basically (it’s adorable😭🤍)
If you need help with Odysseus name, think “Oh, dis is us.” I’m surprised no one thought of that.
Bro, I just think of the Odyssey. it's just Odysse-us
hey, just fun little fact for a part of the open arms animatic.
when Polites throws an apple to Odysseus that's basically asking a wedding proposal in Ancient Greece.
thought that was a fun little detail that the animator used.
Watching this Odysseus, directly after watching monster, is painful. he's so happy.
5:49 so Eurylicous is actually mainly the “voice of the crew” hence why he’s vocals are always flowed by the crew
Eurylochus*
The creatures in Open Arms aren't called the winions, they're the Lotus Eaters. The winions don't appear until the song "Keep your friends close."
Yea I was confused why he was saying that.. these are the Lotus Eaters
That last shot of Polites with the "You can relax, my friend" always makes me BAWL MY EYES OUT
According to Jay the musical is actually completely song through.
right now its just a concept so obv a lot can change but yeah it is sung through, the one thing im worried abt is some of the transitions from songs are really harsh, and even tho jay said he doesnt ever plan to bring it on stage cuz its just not that type of musical i feel as though people listening through can lose the plot sometimes and i really hope he adds more clarification, sticks out most to me with the transition from open arms to warrior of the mind i know when i first watched i was like wait where are we now
Eurylochus: we should just raid the place-
Polites: 😡😡😡
Athena isn't his mom, but Hermes is his great-grandfather.
23:23 I've watched this animatic a dozen times and just noticed Polities basically proposes to Odysyus because in Greece it was tradition to throw someone an apple as a wedding proposal and if they caught it they accept
Edit- just realised it's only sparta
Wolfy goes hard with colours in his Philza and you'll also hear ticking in Athena's songs
Welcome to the EPIC Family! :insert chaos Elmo meme:
Chaos Elmo is the best way to describe it😆
When you react to the Cyclops saga I suggest watching all of Mircsy's videos on it. (The same one who made the Open Arms and Warrior of the Mind, you watched here)
The videos are on:
Polyphemous
Survive
and My Goodbye.
I believe the animators name would be pronounced "mirt-shee", based on what I remember about the letters :)
If they did in fact use the IPA, that's just what it looks like to me
Or, alternatively, it could be mir-chee, as in IPA /͡tʃ/ is also used for the 'ch' sound like in chair or Charizard.
@@Kamarovsky_KCM well, now you had me saying various versions of "chair" to myself for like two minutes straight😂
But seriously, would there be an actual difference do you think? Because to me as a native German speaker, the consonants in the phrases "the chair" and for example "that share" sound pretty much the same (if you do the "linking" of the words like in a sentence). Maybe the "sh"-sound in "chair" is a liiittle bit harsher, but it's really hard for me to find a difference there tbh
(Also I don't have the IPA to write with on here, unfortunately)
They speak through your head all the time so Odysseus change in personality is him literally having a whole conversation with his god. in real time what feels like seconds but in his heads its minutes so thats actually why in open arms its portrayed like that and also later on th soloders arnt freaking out when Athena suddenly appears to give Odysseus advice cause the whole conversations happened in his head
thank god for more eyes and attention on this gem of a musical project
Jorge calls Athena's telepathic ability Quick Thought. It's indicated by the synths.
7:37 I remember Odysseus via the name of the book being “The Odyssey”. Odyssey means journey, and the book is about his journey! (Yes, the meaning of Odyssey comes from the book)
I think other people might have mentioned it- BUT! here's a fun fact I cant get out of my head since I learned it:
In Warrior Of The Mind, when Athena firstly sings the chorus by herself, she holds the note in 'Mind'.
13:25 Jorge is not the voice of Zeus. Theres another VA for him
Fun fact! Jorge had Polites's voice actor locked in the studio sometime :)
Casper, your reactions are now my favorite when it comes to Epic. I was right there along with you catching all the little references.
CASPER DON'T READ THIS COMMENT
I know you're reading
The way Mortius Is SMILING when we meet Polites knowing what happens..... 😭
Clearly recorded before the Underworld Saga. Otherwise he would've been devastated seeing that 🥹😅😂
I think you two have a really good reaction dynamic, especially for this. You tend to get emotionally impacted by similar things which resonates well, but you each have different areas of expertise. That lets you give unique feedback that builds off of one another.
I hope you'll consider reacting together to more Epic content and maybe other musicals in the future, because the dynamic works very well.
Fun Fact, this musical is actually fully sung through, to go against what Mortius said, so this is actually the full story
i think this might be one of, if not the best, Epic reactions Ive seen yet! I love the dynamic between the two of you and the way you analyze both story, music, AND animation. Usually I find its one or the other but you two are great! I cant wait to see your thoughts on the rest of the musical!
Jorge actually sends out concept videos for animators! He did so for The Underworld Saga at least.
Mortius and I did a Patreon-Exclusive reaction to the Underworld listening-party thingy you're talking about - Was dope! :)
Then when she sings with odysseus she still mantain the note high but odyseus makes that rift with the voice pointing he's own personality and then, when athena sings that line again in the end she makes the rift that odysseus did so its kind of intentional cause Jorge explains that Athena in this song established a conection with odysseus so, we can think like athena also makes her personality based in the mood of odysseus even when she design him
(This detail it also appears in other songs but, im not gonna spoil until you reach that moment
Edit 2: Everyone seems to miss "A scary cave..." that comes in quietly after the other Winions say "A cave!"
Edit 3: Even more than just being Athena's project for so long, the most accepted family heritage for Ody is that his Great Grandfather is Hermes... so when Zeus (Hermes's dad) shows up and warns him of a dire threat Ody listened.
So excited for you to continue exploring the amazing world of *EPIC!*
How to remember Odysseus is the name of the protagonist: Odysse(y/uss)
13:37-13:47 I love that humor thats exactly how me and my friends talk
You two vibing off each other gives me life. I need you two to react to all epic content together from now on!
Idk abt ya, but my way of memorising the names was listening to this brillian musical 1000 times on repeat 🤣
Don’t worry @Mortius, I also consider rhetorical questions to be “not real questions!” I do also have autism tho so 😅
Jorge, the creator, is a musical genius.
Zeus was actually played by Luke Holt
I've been waiting for this for so long, it's almost to hard to wait any longer, but I'll manage ❤
I love how close the last two animatics are to resembling the vocalists haha. So good.
I love mortius’ giggle at the end of open arms lol
It is in fact like Hamilton & Les Mis. Jay has stated it's fully sung through
Odysseus was actually the great-grandson of Hermes. Athena just took an interest in him.
Omg i have immensely enjoyed your reactions to this!! Please please tell me youre going to react to more of this together!! Your dynamic of him knowing things and explaining and then your fresh reactions to everything is so freaking great haha XD though even if you react to it on your own i'm sure to really enjoy your reactions!! Hope to see more of you soon! Thanks for the awesome reactions iic(uωu 人)💕💕 and I hope you have a great day~
I just noticed in the last "Thanks for Watching" , the O is an eye
I greatly enjoyed the two of you interacting with the reactions of the EPIC musical. Great job. Keep up the good work, and please do another one!
Cant wait for you to hear more. Im sure somewhere i read that epic is a complete sung through musical so no dialogue.
If this show hits the staage its going to be bigger then Hamilton
If you haven't noticed, you can hear one of the lotus eaters say scary cave in Open Arms after the others
This is amazing I really want to keep watching you react to the other sagas PLEASE it’s more of a need than a want. Welcome to the EPIC fandom!
Please continue this. You both are so entertaining to watch react to this beloved musical concept album.
This was so much more than fun! This was... lotf of fun! I have not watched Epic before, and I'm just enthralled. Thank you both for working hard on introducing me to this! Gosh, if I only had access to this when we studies Odysseia in high-school, close to 30 years ago...
24:50 I could be remembering wrong but I think I remember Jorge saying this was a sung-through musical, so it would be entirely songs with no talking between. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, though!
I was SO EXCITED to see your reaction to this - it's so much fun! I LOVED seeing you and Mortius react to Epic - it's really interesting getting the musical and story/character perspectives - and I really hope we get to see you do the other sagas. I'm so happy you're enjoying it! 💖
In Athena’s defense majority of successful people in all of mythology tend to be cruel and powerful (AHEM ZEUS)
Please do More!!! I LOVE seeing people reactions!!!
Over here from Mortius’s channel and can’t wait to see the second half of this reaction! Part 1 was amazing! I loved his reaction! OMG!
the way that i always remember the names is jorge does this really useful thing that hamilton also does and honestly all musicals should do where they put the names to a specific melody, like "aaron burr, sir" "alexander hamilton" "the schyuler sisters" you think the names to the melody when you remember them which makes them stick much better in your head and whenever the character comes up, that melody and rhythm is repeated. you'll notice this especially with penelope and telemachus but polites is also a good example of jorge using this trick to his advantage
The gods have different animals that represent them.
