- Today I finally managed to get the 620HP Falcon out on the track after its 4-month hibernation! Lakeside always produces some fun times! and this was certainly one of them!

Hey what plugs are you running? I had similar issues with mine and went with a colder copper core plug bkr7e like $6 dollars each and pre gapped at 0.8mm

Mine carries on like that when it's over e65, dunno if your running flexfuel.. I had mine gapped to .7 but still bangs and farts, wonder if its a fuel issue🤔

Even though it was breaking up on the High Boost and Boost by gear the Low boost looked extremely solid! Could possibly be spark plugs or coils?

didnt real dyno gap the plugs for high boost. what do you gap them at mate

I had the exact same problem. Put in the ford genuine gas plugs. They come pre gapped to .7mm

ZAC I'm a fan of the barra turbo and you convinced me to get a g6e turbo and it is amazing !!!, I live near Glen
Mines being doing this at Max boost and I changed coils and sparks still bloody doing it! Checked gaps and everything.

How much of the vp racing m2 did you use?
How old are the coil packs? I'd do them at same time as the plugs while your there
Thinking about it :) might be worth the extra cost for the next track day
@@ZacBaldy a set will cost about $200 and you won't have to worry about them for another 100k. Make sure you use genuine ford ones
hey dude - are you running 620hp on stock gearbox and tailshaft? if so, how are you modyfing your driving to suit?
Hey mate! yeah, completely stock. Main thing, always if you're going to get on it, use the performance mode and select gears. Never plant your foot in drive and let your box do the work, never load up on the driveline, and also ease into it, never 0-100% :) its gonna take a while but I haven't made any mistakes yet :D
Hey Zac, I run a really similar set up to you in my F6, same turbo but engine built a bit more I work in a shed right near Gene I see him all the time if you ever want to come have a look at mine.
I would suggest checking your fuel filter and your surge set up now you are running E85 if you haven't already.

We raced max today at Willowbank but he kept missing gear 3
This is the old knock on effect when starting to push hp, you get a fail in some other area that shows up on the track due to being able to push it, but not on the road cause you'll be going illegal as hell to try and emulate the same issue. As stated already possible plugs, maybe 1 colder needed, gaps, coil packs, could be an over boost in higher gears causing a fuel cut. Sort out your spares so you can plug in and out at the tuner. To save endless tuner trips maybe learn to do your own logs if that's possible with that ECU. Before the next track sessions, look at your camera views to line up guys next to you, get there early and intro yourself to yiur group tell em they'll be in your vid so they can spot you and line you up for runs. But yeh work in progress job keep em coming

more than likely the coil packs. every falcon does it. plugs would be doing it all the time. the fact it breaks down under heavy load says to me the coils are going. i mean, you have to take the coils out to do the plugs. why not change them out while youre there 🤷♂️ theyre not too expensive either

I'm with you man... Legit everything I did to this car sounds great, that beautiful precision turbo, the Exhaust with the new dump and all... but just before everything starts sounding good my ears start bleeding... She'll be getting plumbed in very soon 😉

That's the thing with turbo's, unreliable. V8's can take a beating all day everyday
Turbos are so much fun tho, and they kick v8s ass as long as the v8 doesn't have a turbo, cos then it's all over!
