@@mtb5431 one of the main issues was Mustafa Accord he had the rights to the series after John Carpenter left he had a whole bunch of ideas for the series but there was so many horror films Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm Street franchises being made things just weren't going right for Jamie in any direction.

I had that motherly adrenaline after having my baby evicted (c-section). He was in NICU. I had to go to him, all the nurses were shocked how well I got around after the surgery. That shit is legit.
Even though the original is my fav, I’ve always felt more invested in Jamie and Rachel as protagonists then Laurie. They just had a beautiful bond and we haven’t had anything close to that in any of the sequels.
Jamie lloyd is definitely my favourite halloween final girl unfortunately she suffered a unjustified fate. I wish after number 4 and 5 her storyline had more better treatment. Instead of just killing her off straight away. She's so sweet and fragile and didn't have a chance to maybe succeed at ending the family curse.
There was still so much potential with her it was very depressing how she was killed off after all she’d been through. The new main characters in H6 weren’t nearly as strong or interesting as Jamie or Rachel. Loomis was still great though.

Sorry but atmosphere and cinematography are no substitute for characters and the way Jamie is treated destroys any redeemable qualities it may have otherwise. 3:20 Danielle Harris wanted to come back for the 2018 film. If they'd done that a current continuity version of Jamie could still have been Laurie's daughter but not Michael's niece since the 2018 film went back to how it was in the original where Michael and Laurie weren't related.

Having her no longer being his niece would take away from Michael Myers's character, particularly that scene near the end of Halloween 5. It would also make far less sense as to why Michael Myers would obsess over one random woman and her daughter. "Oh... She did not get killed by him back in 1978? Well, now he needs to make her the centre of his universe." At least with the brother-sister relationship -- and later, uncle-niece relationship -- there is some logic as to why he would make them his long-term targets. Not when the only thing they have is not being killed by him the first time around.
The only good thing about Jamie being written out of continuity (is that Curse of Michael literally never happened) but also that she and Billy never experienced Michael Myers and are living a perfectly happy life.
The only good thing about Curse is Danielle didn’t return so we didn’t have to watch the real Jamie Lloyd be raped and brutally killed. Also that it didn’t kill Paul Rudd’s career.
I wish if Jamie had not been written as non cannon, it would have been cool to see her written as John's sister. Laurie's paranoia over John could have been written as having fear of losing one child and afraid the same fate would befall her son.

Jamie's father was that paramedic from Halloween 2, his last name was Lloyd. the guy that slipped and fell on the blood, then passed out in the vehicle sounding the horn.
His last name was never given out canonically. _Lloyd_ was never associated with his first name. He’s never been called “Jimmy Lloyd” except by the fans. There is a theory among fans of the series that Jimmy may be the father of Jamie Lloyd and/or John Tate. The theory has been debunked as far as John is concerned; as for Jamie, it has not been disproved. However, in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Jamie pulls out a photo of herself with her father, who bears little resemblance to Jimmy. The identity of Jamie's father has never been significant to the story. If Jimmy is the father of Jamie, he would also be the grandfather of Jamie's son, Steven Lloyd and the man in the photo could have possibly been her uncle, Jimmy's younger brother Ziggy.

The biggest stain on the entire Halloween series is how Jamie’s story ended. She goes through hell for two movies just to get kidnapped,raped, and brutally murdered. Even though H5 was a mess,H6 still could’ve been great if she remained the protagonist and it was just her coming out of hiding to team up with Loomis and finish Michael once and for all. There would even be some emotional tension since she’d be avenging Rachel. That would be more epic then all the Laurie vs Michael showdowns combined.

With Jamie it would be revenge for ruining her life since childhood and killing the person she was closest too. Plus since nearly all of us liked Rachel as well, we’d be very invested in Jamie getting her revenge.
@@taracollins5597 Yeah I heard there was resistance from a lot of people on set but the hack job of a director was to stubborn to listen. Besides Donald Pleasence, I read that Ellie Cornell didn’t enjoy shooting her scenes with him either. Also heard things like he found Rachel’s character “boring”...probably because she was a realistic portrayal of a teen as opposed to the cartoon characters that made up his film.
I love Horror History. I loved horror already, but love it more now that I have found this channel and learn about all the connections in these stories.
We need at least one more Halloween movie with Danielle Harris playing Jamie. I know we got more of Jamie and more of Danielle Harris but we need the two combined. They could definitely add in another timeline starting from the end of Halloween 5 where we get to see Jamie as a middle aged woman. It may have been unintentional but if you watch the Director's cut of Rob Zombie's Halloween II you kind of get an homage to little Jamie at the end.

It always felt that John's story felt incomplete. It would have been cool to see the 4-6 timeline merged into the h20 one. A simple explanation could have been there was a massive cover up or those involved were killed or possibly sworn to secrecy.
They have another alternate timeline version where Laurie didn’t die she faked her death, thinking she was protecting Jamie from Michael and he would leave the family alone, that’s why she gave Jamie the Lloyd last name, if they stuck with that version it could’ve done much better for the franchise, and Laurie could’ve still came back without throwing the franchise all over the place, and still had her grandson from H6 and son from H2O all in one, because Jamie did a great job and so did the son from H2O, the timeline loop threw me off because now only pt1 count and they’re not related all of a sudden
What if Jamie and John were twins? They both appear to have been the same age, born in 1981, her aged 7 in 1988, him aged 17 in 1998. Mr. Lloyd and Mr. "Tate" may have been one in the same. Perhaps Mr. LLoyd and Laurie Strode took John and changed their name to Tate, but Mr. Tate didn't stick around? And perhaps Mr. Lloyd and Laurie put Jamie up for adoption.
I had always interpreted it as Laurie faking her demise, considering she showed up in Halloween: H20. Until a few years ago, I had not realized that this was supposed to be an alternate timeline.
Danielle Harris needs to return to the Halloween franchise. I hope after Halloween Ends in another inevitable reboot as they seem to have robbed us of any chance of Danielle Harris and Jamie Lee Curtis being on screen in a Halloween film together.
I have an idea on how to continue Jamie Lloyd's story and give her a solid conclusion. A new timeline that continues from the 4th film and ignores movies 5 & 6. Here's my pitch: Halloween: Reckoning Set 35 years after the events of H4, Jamie Lloyd (played by Danielle Harris) has moved on with her life and is under the alias of Michelle Becker, who has become a famous horror author. However, she is forced to return to Haddonfield when her adoptive father dies and reunites with her estranged adoptive sister Rachel (played by Ellie Cornell), who still hasn't forgiven her for the death of their adoptive mother, which Jamie still struggles over. However, Michael Myers' reappears, revealed to be responsible for killing their dad in order to lure Jamie out. After an argument with Rachel, Jamie almost leaves until Marion Chambers approaches her and leaves a letter from the late Dr. Loomis, who (in voice over) warns her that the ritual had failed. In a flashback, a young Jamie (recast with a child who looks like young Harris) is incarnated in a children's hospital, where Dr. Loomis (also recast with someone who looks like Pleasance) attempts to save her from the evil of Michael, knowing that she is trying to fight back. He researches the history of Samhain and discovers a way to save Jamie, who is falling to the evil as it slowly consumes her. Michael eventually attacks and kills the staff before getting to Jamie. Attempting a ritual, Loomis has the evil transferred from Jamie and onto him before Michael stabs him. Loomis tries to touch him to gain the rest of the evil within, but Michael sends them out the window before it is completed, although the two survive, with Michael escaping. Years later, Jamie is released back into society but is shunned by Rachel and Haddonfield, with the exception of her adoptive father, who helps get her a new identity. Loomis has himself committed to an insane asylum, where he lives the rest of his days before dying, resisting the evil within. In the present-day, Michael attacks and kills Marion, forcing Jamie to flee. Afraid for her adoptive sister, Jamie goes to warn her and is followed by Michael. The police pursue but are killed by Michael when they reach the house. Jamie finds Rachel but they end up trapped in the basement. Remembering when she absorbed part the evil from her uncle, Jamie approaches Michael and embraces him, fully consuming the evil and leaving him vulnerable. After Rachel escapes, she then sets fire to the basement and collapses the staircase, trapping them. Rachel pleads for her to take her hand from an opening, but she refuses, knowing that the evil is too strong and will eventually take her as it did Michael. Saying goodbye to her and tearfully saying thank you for being her sister, the flames consume Jamie and Michael, killing them. After Jamie's funeral, Rachel tearfully apologizes to her grave and forgives her. In the afterlife, Jamie is greeted by her mother, Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis). The two embrace and walk into the bright light together.

I liked Jamie better then Laurie as a protagonist. ER RN here, bc of short staff due to Covid I went back to work 16 hours following giving birth. Thankfully, it was only for a 16 hour shift & able to enjoy a 6 week maternity leave.
It did look like Jamie was going become like Michael but she was able to fight it somehow. We never knew what kind of kid Michael was before he killed his sister.
I was today years old when I realized I never knew Jamie Lee Curtis' character had died and this was her daughter. I've watched this movies countless times and never got that detail.
19:08 also from loomis’ perspective he has been trying to stop this monster and literally no one in the town takes him seriously. hes clearly gone insane at this point and i have no idea why you are talking about this like jamie is the first patient he has ever had straight out of medical school. and why would they not have the person that knows the most about the trauma she has be her psychiatrist? none of that criticism made any sense other than two out of context clips. he didnt take jamie as a patient to help jamie, he took jamie as a patient to stop michael. its blatantly obvious if you watch the movies.
Sad she only got to live 15 years. Her being killed of right away in Halloween 6 pissed me off so badly. Not only did she not act as Jaime in that movie but the fact she was killed of way too early made me pissed off too. Loomis always looked out for Jaime in halloween 6 he blamed himself for her death. But I think Loomis was traumatized by Michael that's why he quit his job. What I noticed whenever Michael "attacked" Loomis he seemed to go easy on him for some reason. In Halloween 2 he stabbed him slightly not hard enough to kill him., in 5 Michael only stabbed him a bit. Seems he slightly has a care for him cause he never tries to stab him fatally.
I hear they’re bringing back the OG cast of H4 with Halloween 4 part 2.. we will finally get to see Jamie and Rachel again. But now who gone play Loomis?

H5 and H6 are just super depressing cause of Jamie’s treatment. It’s frustrating cause there were so many possibilities with her character after H4.

Automatic bedrest for two days isn't a necessity either. Some mothers can be out and about in less than a day.

I wish if Jamie had not been written as non cannon, it would have been cool to see her written as John's sister. Laurie's paranoia over John could have been written as having fear of losing one child and afraid the same fate would befall her son.
This was included in an early script for H20, which was eventually scrapped. Laurie reads a newspaper that reports on Jamie Lloyd's death and runs to a school bathroom to throw up before doing her Yosemite obligatory plea.
She truly carried 4 and 5 which is amazing considering how bad most child actors are

I know that they killed her in the Rob Zombie's version but I would love if they put her on the new trilogy as a new character. She's such a great actress. Love all of her movies that she's in. The theory has been debunked as far as John is concerned; as for Jamie, it has not been disproved. However, in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Jamie pulls out a photo of herself with her father, who bears little resemblance to Jimmy. The identity of Jamie's father has never been significant to the story. If Jimmy is the father of Jamie, he would also be the grandfather of Jamie's son, Steven Lloyd and the man in the photo could have possibly been her uncle, Jimmy's younger brother Ziggy.

The biggest stain on the entire Halloween series is how Jamie’s story ended. She goes through hell for two movies just to get kidnapped,raped, and brutally murdered.
Even though H5 was a mess,H6 still could’ve been great if she remained the protagonist and it was just her coming out of hiding to team up with Loomis and finish Michael once and for all. There would even be some emotional tension since she’d be avenging Rachel. That would be more epic then all the Laurie vs Michael showdowns combined.
She deserved her revenge more than Laurie at that point. H6 did her dirty.

With Jamie it would be revenge for ruining her life since childhood and killing the person she was closest too. Plus since nearly all of us liked Rachel as well, we’d be very invested in Jamie getting her revenge.

@@taracollins5597 Yeah I heard there was resistance from a lot of people on set but the hack job of a director was to stubborn to listen. Besides Donald Pleasence, I read that Ellie Cornell didn’t enjoy shooting her scenes with him either. Also heard things like he found Rachel’s character “boring”...probably because she was a realistic portrayal of a teen as opposed to the cartoon characters that made up his film.

We need at least one more Halloween movie with Danielle Harris playing Jamie. I know we got more of Jamie and more of Danielle Harris but we need the two combined. They could definitely add in another timeline starting from the end of Halloween 5 where we get to see Jamie as a middle aged woman. It may have been unintentional but if you watch the Director's cut of Rob Zombie's Halloween II you kind of get an homage to little Jamie at the end.
If the do continue from H5, they should only mention Rachel and Dr.Loomis. No Tina and ESPECIALLY no thorn cult.

It always felt that John's story felt incomplete. It would have been cool to see the 4-6 timeline merged into the h20 one. A simple explanation could have been there was a massive cover up or those involved were killed or possibly sworn to secrecy.
They have another alternate timeline version where Laurie didn’t die she faked her death, thinking she was protecting Jamie from Michael and he would leave the family alone, that’s why she gave Jamie the Lloyd last name, if they stuck with that version it could’ve done much better for the franchise, and Laurie could’ve still came back without throwing the franchise all over the place, and still had her grandson from H6 and son from H2O all in one, because Jamie did a great job and so did the son from H2O, the timeline loop threw me off because now only pt1 count and they’re not related all of a sudden
What if Jamie and John were twins? They both appear to have been the same age, born in 1981, her aged 7 in 1988, him aged 17 in 1998. Mr. Lloyd and Mr. "Tate" may have been one in the same.
Perhaps Mr. LLoyd and Laurie Strode took John and changed their name to Tate, but Mr. Tate didn't stick around?
And perhaps Mr. Lloyd and Laurie put Jamie up for adoption.

I had always interpreted it as Laurie faking her demise, considering she showed up in Halloween: H20.
Until a few years ago, I had not realized that this was supposed to be an alternate timeline.
Honestly in Halloween 5 I think when she goes uncle and makes him cry it should have restored his humanity and had that universe end there.

Danielle Harris needs to return to the Halloween franchise. I hope after Halloween Ends in another inevitable reboot as they seem to have robbed us of any chance of Danielle Harris and Jamie Lee Curtis being on screen in a Halloween film together.
I have an idea on how to continue Jamie Lloyd's story and give her a solid conclusion. A new timeline that continues from the 4th film and ignores movies 5 & 6. Here's my pitch:
Halloween: Reckoning
Set 35 years after the events of H4, Jamie Lloyd (played by Danielle Harris) has moved on with her life and is under the alias of Michelle Becker, who has become a famous horror author. However, she is forced to return to Haddonfield when her adoptive father dies and reunites with her estranged adoptive sister Rachel (played by Ellie Cornell), who still hasn't forgiven her for the death of their adoptive mother, which Jamie still struggles over. However, Michael Myers' reappears, revealed to be responsible for killing their dad in order to lure Jamie out. After an argument with Rachel, Jamie almost leaves until Marion Chambers approaches her and leaves a letter from the late Dr. Loomis, who (in voice over) warns her that the ritual had failed.
In a flashback, a young Jamie (recast with a child who looks like young Harris) is incarnated in a children's hospital, where Dr. Loomis (also recast with someone who looks like Pleasance) attempts to save her from the evil of Michael, knowing that she is trying to fight back. He researches the history of Samhain and discovers a way to save Jamie, who is falling to the evil as it slowly consumes her. Michael eventually attacks and kills the staff before getting to Jamie. Attempting a ritual, Loomis has the evil transferred from Jamie and onto him before Michael stabs him. Loomis tries to touch him to gain the rest of the evil within, but Michael sends them out the window before it is completed, although the two survive, with Michael escaping. Years later, Jamie is released back into society but is shunned by Rachel and Haddonfield, with the exception of her adoptive father, who helps get her a new identity. Loomis has himself committed to an insane asylum, where he lives the rest of his days before dying, resisting the evil within.
In the present-day, Michael attacks and kills Marion, forcing Jamie to flee. Afraid for her adoptive sister, Jamie goes to warn her and is followed by Michael. The police pursue but are killed by Michael when they reach the house. Jamie finds Rachel but they end up trapped in the basement. Remembering when she absorbed part the evil from her uncle, Jamie approaches Michael and embraces him, fully consuming the evil and leaving him vulnerable. After Rachel escapes, she then sets fire to the basement and collapses the staircase, trapping them. Rachel pleads for her to take her hand from an opening, but she refuses, knowing that the evil is too strong and will eventually take her as it did Michael. Saying goodbye to her and tearfully saying thank you for being her sister, the flames consume Jamie and Michael, killing them.
After Jamie's funeral, Rachel tearfully apologizes to her grave and forgives her. In the afterlife, Jamie is greeted by her mother, Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis). The two embrace and walk into the bright light together.

She had such a tragic life there was way more emotional investment with her.I wish the series had focused on Jamie growing up to get revenge on Michael for ruining her life and killing Rachel. Now that would’ve been a better final film for Donald Pleasence.
@@mtb5431 Well, I did write a script for an animated movie that's a sequel to H5 where Jamie teams up with Tina and Loomis to kill Michael and the Man in Black resurrects Rachel to use as bait against Jamie. I'll just watch it instead of H6 if I make it.

She would have remembered the incident in the attic in Halloween 5, and therefore tried to see if she could replicate that encounter with greater success.
ER RN here, bc of short staff due to Covid I went back to work 16 hours following giving birth. Thankfully, it was only for a 16 hour shift & able to enjoy a 6 week maternity leave.
It did look like Jamie was going become like Michael but she was able to fight it somehow. We never knew what kind of kid Michael was before he killed his sister.

Sad she only got to live 15 years. Her being killed of right away in Halloween 6 pissed me off so badly. Not only did she not act as Jaime in that movie but the fact she was killed of way too early made me pissed off too. Loomis always looked out for Jaime in halloween 6 he blamed himself for her death. But I think Loomis was traumatized by Michael that's why he quit his job. What I noticed whenever Michael "attacked" Loomis he seemed to go easy on him for some reason. In Halloween 2 he stabbed him slightly not hard enough to kill him., in 5 Michael only stabbed him a bit. Seems he slightly has a care for him cause he never tries to stab him fatally.
