- We got a very rude awakening on Saturday morning, so we changed our weekend plans to focus on securing the front gate area. We also finished the outhouse and finally stained the tent's front deck.
Always talk to someone on your property. Let's them know your around and your monitoring. Get some game cams to see activity for security. Neighbours will talk to you. I'm jealous of the outhouse!

I strongly suggest you put up a no trespassing sign and paint all the post along the front and back fence purple. Purple is the universal color for no trespassing. Stay safe and I hope y’all are carrying while you’re out there. Blessings

My youngest son does long hikes that take 1 to 6 months to do, like Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail The Colorado Long Trail. There is an entire network of hiking in the US. I know he went through parts of Nevada with the Pacific Crest Trail hike. Also, it is not uncommon to get lost on those hikes. Along those hiking trails it is common to have structures (your tent) that houses emergency supplies. There are people who maintain them and resupply. Many just hold containers of drinking water. Some are used by hikers to leave items they no long need, and the intention is that if you need something you can take it. Since the PCT starts at the border with Mexico and goes to the border with Canada, hikers needs change during the hike, but it's impossible to carry everything. Could your "intruder" have been a hiker? In Norway and much of Europe, the idea of trespassing is a foreign concept (definitely not in US). Many hikers in the US are European youth.
That's an interesting take! We're familiar with the PCT but it's nowhere near us. This person didn't have any gear either, so we're certain it wasn't a hiker.
Shouldn't be afraid to talk to someone who is on your land. I deal with it monthly.
We certainly aren't afraid to confront someone on our own land-- this man avoided talking to us even after we followed him off our property and down the road.
