When I've done this, I put 1 whole, raw roll in the middle of a round cake pan. I unroll the rest of the rolls & wrap them around the roll in the middle. Then add whipping cream. Bake until rolls brown on top.
"What did the recipe tell me to do???" "Oh, it DID tell me to do that....and I ignored it.....oh well." Said every one who has ever cooked. 🤣 Love how real you are. Have to dig a dropped lid out of batter, can't find an ingredient, completely forget an ingredient...check, check, check. Human. Keep cooking and providing that love for yourself and your family.
Thanks for my morning chuckle. There are so many times I need to call you when you call out random questions, but it would ruin your charm. Still love your pumpkin custard advise.😂😂
I love your candid style! You made me laugh a few times, and your personality is a breath of fresh air! I love your speech from times past too, keep bringing the cooking fun!!
That looks really incredible. Thanks for showing us how to do this. I like having some treats for the Holidays, so I will try them during Christmas Break.
You mentioned in your bagel recipe that newbies were giving you are hard time. I’m a newbie and I think you are fabulous! 😂 it’s so nice to see someone whose genuine in every way!
Thank you for posting this ... I appreciate your candor with running this video live and unscripted. ... I accidentally inhale good tasting food, too ... ;)
I loved this video. You are hilariously imperfect, such a fun change from most cooking (amateur)videos. I’m going to try this recipe in your honor. ☺️ Also I must subscribe to your channel.
I make these, but I use Rhodes frozen cinnamon rolls instead of Grands. I measure with my heart meaning I don’t measure anything lol. I do make sure that my melted butter to brown sugar ratio is such that it’s still liquidy when mixed. Also, the Rhodes comes with cream cheese frosting packets so I don’t have to doctor them up. My niece begs me to make them for every holiday/family function. She took a whole pan back to her college dorm after our Super Bowl party 😂😂😂
I haven't tried these yet, but someday I will. I'll have to make adjustments because I hate almond extract and maple syrup. Everything else is good. Did you bake the leftover cinnamon rolls? There's actually no waste.
what i saw in a short, man. is basically you coulda done 3x3, then for the LAST bun, take it all apart to fill in the GAPS between the 3x3 rolls! no waste done! :D
OMG I love you!! A “SCOUCH”??? Hahaha my grandmother used that very technical cooking/baking term LOL DUDE! Get a set of spatulas (assorted sizes) for mixing and blending … really a fork just doesn’t do the job. Keep ‘em coming!!! ❤
I had so much fun watching you cook. I will make those cinnamon rolls like that but I won’t use the almond extract. I can’t stand it I just stick with the vanilla oh by the way the Tupperware cup measuring cups that you were using are for dry ingredients, so your brown sugar should’ve been measured in that one in the three-quarter cup with Tupperware.
You make me laugh Dave. Suggestion: get yourself a mixing spoon, a spatula then make sure you use dry measuring cups when measuring solids (like brown sugar). Keep cooking and video taping.
Dave you could have just mixed it with mixer frosting and not microwaved it. That didn’t give you a nice fluffy frosting. It melted the everything. Also I would have added all the rolls to the pan
I say no to the butter. It would be more greasy. Adding heavy cream was perfect. But you were afraid to add the cream. As you said. It wouldn’t hurt. Just richer flavor. The butter would have made them greasier
I always used kosher salt to play it safe... Someone thought I was nuts for using an eighth of a teaspoon of 5 spice powder in mine until she tasted them... I had to slap her hand away so I could get one to taste myself... It was funny that that one wasn't the one she liked best... It was a half heavy cream half coconut milk version that came with a result I never expected...and let's leave it at that or this would be a banned post... Not bad for a guy who is willing to experiment with recipes... It's those fusion recipes that are asked for the most...and at times I believe haven't perfected at the time...
Did I see liquid in the bottom of the pan? I tried a similar hack from another UA-camr. I used the stated amount of heavy whipping cream (halfway up on the rolls) and I had TONS of liquid in the bottom after cooking! Your video showed only a CUP (plus what you put in the "glaze").
When I've done this, I put 1 whole, raw roll in the middle of a round cake pan. I unroll the rest of the rolls & wrap them around the roll in the middle. Then add whipping cream. Bake until rolls brown on top.

I like your humor and want to try this recipe. Thank you. Too many people are making negative comments…Just stop and appreciate this free recipe!
Thanks for my morning chuckle. There are so many times I need to call you when you call out random questions, but it would ruin your charm. Still love your pumpkin custard advise.😂😂
I’m definitely going to try these and knowing that you are not a professional chef is the reason I love your videos, you are so charming ❤❤😊😊
Dude! This looks crazy good! Thank you!
I don’t care about the recipes really, you’re just fun to watch and listen to 😂
For sure-I agree! He's histerical!
I love your candid style! You made me laugh a few times, and your personality is a breath of fresh air! I love your speech from times past too, keep bringing the cooking fun!!
Never Dis Mortons. " When it rains, it pours" big tag line from my childhood. I'm 74. ❤
That looks really incredible. Thanks for showing us how to do this. I like having some treats for the Holidays, so I will try them during Christmas Break.
Fantastic execution! Love your confidence!
Great video dude! Love the personality and the authenticity. Underrated channel
I just cracked up watching you baking. You are a funny guy. Keep cooking and baking.
You mentioned in your bagel recipe that newbies were giving you are hard time. I’m a newbie and I think you are fabulous! 😂 it’s so nice to see someone whose genuine in every way!
Great recipe. Thank you for sharing
Finally .... someone who cooks like I do!!! Making these today with coconut milk and pecans!!
Thank you for posting this ... I appreciate your candor with running this video live and unscripted. ... I accidentally inhale good tasting food, too ... ;)
You needed to mix your frosting with an electric mixer to make it fluffy.
I loved this video. You are hilariously imperfect, such a fun change from most cooking (amateur)videos. I’m going to try this recipe in your honor. ☺️ Also I must subscribe to your channel.
Love watching you have fun with the way the rest of us cook. You're funny and adorable ❤😂🎉
Before you baked those I wasn't so sure that they would turn out. Way to go Dave
You are amazing!!! Thank you for recepie🎉
This old lady loves you. Thanks for the laughs. I'm going to try this!
Great job love your channel and all the work you put in your description area below 🎉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Great job
It’s a CINNABUN. YUMMY Dave good job!👍 😊
I just love your channel 😂❤
You need a rubber spatula 🧐
Thank you for your videos
More cream
For the top frosting.
Loved this! You are funny even if you are not trying. You do it like normal people.
I make these, but I use Rhodes frozen cinnamon rolls instead of Grands. I measure with my heart meaning I don’t measure anything lol. Never heard of that brand sounds interesting 🤔 .
Rhodes are the best! Do you use the ones that do not need to be thawed or the regular ones?
I haven't tried these yet, but someday I will. I'll have to make adjustments because I hate almond extract and maple syrup. Everything else is good. Did you bake the leftover cinnamon rolls? There's actually no waste.
Do you sell on eBay too?
Great video. I wonder if some fresh lemon juice added to the frosting would add something?
Don't knock yourself. You're a way better cook than I am! Thanks for a great video, and I look forward to watching more!
These are the best, ugh the calories.
Thank Dave, another one hit out of the park.
⚾️
So glad you made the frosting instead of that crap in the pkg. Try the same thing with Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls, even BETTER.
what i saw in a short, man. is basically you coulda done 3x3, then for the LAST bun, take it all apart to fill in the GAPS between the 3x3 rolls! no waste done! :D
I love how chaotic this is. Subscribing. 😂
My thinking exactly lol
I definately would have used ALL THE PREMADE ROLLS! But I prepare mine in a similar way . Def the cinnamon
I love cinnamon ❤
Praying for you, Dave
You are hilarious!!! LOL
Now I’ve gotta go make these 🤤
OMG I love you!! A “SCOUCH”??? Hahaha my grandmother used that very technical cooking/baking term LOL DUDE! Get a set of spatulas (assorted sizes) for mixing and blending … really a fork just doesn’t do the job. Keep ‘em coming!!! ❤
😂 lol you are a total crack up ! A bit messy , but looks Amazing! 😂😂😂
Thanks I needed this😅😊
So funny. Love it!
Thanks
Next time use the mixture from the pan instead of using unflavored cream. The pan mixture is flavored and will go well with brown sugar concoction
Do you cook much? Preparation is paramount! Get it right and then video!
I had so much fun watching you cook. I will make those cinnamon rolls like that but I won’t use the almond extract. Looks so good
Dave you're a HOOT! Does a 60 year old use the word hoot. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 😂
That's exactly WHO uses the word hoot! 😂😂😂
You could be Julia Childs great grandson, only without the wine. II enjoyed the production.
Fun video 😉💕
Thank you 🤗
I put over buns in air fried for 5 ish minutes. I only have a 400 watt airfrier.
What if I don’t have heavy cream can I use some milk ??
No. Use water.
You needed more butter to make it more liquid
I say no to the butter. It would be more greasy. Adding heavy cream was perfect. But you were afraid to add the cream. As you said. It wouldn’t hurt. Just richer flavor. The butter would have made them greasier
Possibly. Im just going off what I've seen on the videos of this in other places. Maybe less brown sugar?? Not sure
Your funny Enjoyed
Maybe it wouldn’t be too much of a compromise if you used an adequately sized mixing spoon?
"Rest on your laurels" is a country 70 yo expression.
Mix cream mixture with brown sugar. It is easier
You're hilarious!
No almond extract or pancake syrup for me.. But they look amazing n I don't like cinnamon.. 😄
Add more melted butter next time to the thick sugar cinnamon combo
Good idea! Appreciate it
Add the salt to the brown sugar mixture
Sorry, but..*******, love the video!
SUGAR bad! Ouch
Hey Oh!!
Only 600calories???? I'll have to have at least 2😂😂😂
My goodness get a whip or larger spoon ahhhhh
He needs to go on line for a catalog of gadgets and
accessories😅
I like Cardamom, but haven’t tried nutmeg.
"Rest on your laurels" dates back to ancient Greece. And 40 is not elderly yet.
The recipe calls for 4 oz. Cream cheese...you used 8 oz. Hey, you can never have to much cream cheese.😉😋
😂😂😂
You are a keeper
I always used kosher salt to play it safe... Someone thought I was nuts for using an eighth of a teaspoon of 5 spice powder in mine until she tasted them... Don't waste extra rolls take little bits apart and stuff them in between the whole ones
Triggered, should be 9! Should be evenly distributed for best cooking.
I prefer cream cheese drizzle
You didn’t tell us how hot your oven is!!!!!
Use all the rolls
Tapita it is a word, is a small bottle cap, you mean taza = cup
I feel like you should invest in a whisk.
It’s not wasteful if you put them in the waffle iron
Oh no we just did stoned and we never made it through all these steps 💚💚💚💚💚
❤😋
You use a blender or a food processer😅
A hand held Kitchen Aid mixer is my fave
This is a horrifying video😳😳😳😳😳
You sound like a well seasoned master pastry chef.
Dude…. That was NOT maple syrup! 😂
Pancake syrup 😅
@@lisaviviano1568 I’m in Vermont…. Maple syrup is a very serious issue! 🌲🍁
use all the rolls
I’m 69 and I’ve never used the saying….rest on your laurels! 😂. Question…Isn’t all salt sea salt?
Why didnt you use the last 2 and fill up your baking dish👎
I think he thought it would ruin them like when cookies spread...
Your butter was not melted enough
They look delicious and you’re a funny guy to watch, but please for the love of heaven, invest in a whisk, rubber spatula, and some mixing spoons 😅
OMG
Orange. Add cinnamon
Add more melted butter!! Not cream
They turned out great, but I’m 75 so a little to much silliness for me.
That’s fair.
