The only thing he have advantage on me with csgo is the map knowledge. But in Valorant we have the same knowledge. Just different mechanical skill (aiming).

This actually happened to me when I started playing cs go a few months back but part of the doubtfulness came from finding spinbotters in every 1 out of 3 matches.

Nerd? As an Overwatch player, only having to keep track of like 12 characters' number of ability charges, maybe 5 cooldown timers, and 4 unique abilities per character sounds easy. You guys don't even have stuns or escapes, so remembering which abilities, passives, and ultimates get interrupted by stuns and which characters have abilities that let them escape from CC based ultimates and abilities isn't even a thing. Never mind that Valorant has an almost complete lack of major bugs like noregs, massive ping diff with faster abilities, and other various engine/server jank. This sounds like an EZ game.

I like how you're right about everything. Yup the games coexisted, it does bring new players to fps gaming (including me) and the game is pretty much big now. I guess experience makes one full of wisdom
Back in 2020 they said "OmAiGaaaaAaaAAAAaAd CS killa", but look at nowadays: CS stood for like 22 years if I'm not mistaken. Valorant has many similarities to CS and some Overwatch vibes with all the Agents with different abilities (I even called the game CounterWatch at this point 😁) but both CS and Valo will stay prevalent and unique.

Just to correct some points (since riot updated the game) :
-Sage can heal every 30 sec (not once per round)
-With phoenix (or any other character than jett or raze, that have special jump abilities), you eventually be able to reach the top of some box with sage wall :)
Sages heal is 45 seconds now
much like with terminology transferring over from DOTA to league, such as calling minion kills a creep score ( even though it's officially minion score) we are seeing a lot of terms cross over from CS to Valorant

Early days of Valorant launch reminds me a tiny bit of when LoL first launched. It's a high skill floor game that is based off an already existing genre. CS:GO players are going to shit on people in this game much like how DOTA players shat on people so long ago. But just like then, noobies will keep coming in and we'll keep getting better. I didn't really jive very well with CS:GO or Overwatch, so I'm glad Valorant exists as a middle ground of having cool characters/abilities and having an actual frame of mind towards tactics and sharp aim.

I chose valorant over cs go because I’m new to pc. I got my pc a few weeks ago, and I knew that the cs go skill ceiling is really high, as since valorant is fairly new, I could get used to it. Still, cs go is a great game, and I love watching you play it, keep going man 👍

@@god1222 But the abilities in this game are basically the replacement of utility (nades, flashes and smokes) in CSGO. There is more variety in this game but it's not that much of an alien to cs players. We'll be able to adapt to this quite easily and quickly.

I watched this this vid a while back and have played valorant almost throughout the gap between this post. I really haven't seen much toxicity through my games (weirdly) most people play multiple heroes because most heroes share similarities with most other characters and if this continues this game may have one of the chillest player bases I've seen in a while
Ozsnfr f yeah, i started maining Phoenix but after i realized he gets picked every game, i started diversifying to sage, Jett and Nova. Typically one of them is open and i like the challenge of learning more than one operator. Lots of potential in this game as long as they don’t kill it themselves.
Because the game is in the beta stage most of the players are devs youtubers and streamers

You have to wait for people invest more into their main agent first. Eventually you will get people in rank raging that you picked their agent and threaten to throw. Games that are competitive in general will never escape toxicity unless the devs get involved......

The gunplay looks solid, but I'd have to play it to really tell. I'm curious how they can balance some of the special abilities, the active sonar particularly. With every character having their own special set I could see an overwatch goats effect happening which would be a shame. I'll have to give it a shot when it goes live!
Well I hate to disappoint, but riot has failed to balance things in the past but who knows they might learn from their mistakes. (Btw when I mean failed they are literally over buffed or over nerfed or they nerf/buff the wrong thing)
well since they can decently handle 160 characters in league of legends,this is walk in a park for them in that sense.They will probably balance it pretty well by the time of release.
My personal thought is that they should remove some specials and replace them with universal hero skill purchases instead of heroe specific buys, maybe remove one,of,the,uniques and give us a few universal abilities, also I feel the damage make up should be revamped to have damage modification over distance particularly to reduce one or two shots like with the deagle as he mentions in the video. My thoughts are this could promote weapon classes being used more so within their realm (unlike csgo wear you can literally one shot people with a basic pistol if you have good aim, even across the map,which should not be the,case if i recall right).
I also hope they remove snipers and instead make a more "marksman" style class like Halo 5's DMR is, like perhaps two shot head shots at max ranges, and some type of ability to protect from wall penetration abilities (again perhaps a universal purchase ability that all heros can use) it would have to be limited in function to balance it perhaps single use with a more reduced damage or ailment effect on the players using it, it can act as a shield that you hold up but can only really cover like two heros wide and cannot use other abilities while its activated, however, maybe it is an indefinite use with low mobility but as soon as its hit, its destoryed but protects from the wall hack abilities. Another idea to add is that shotguns do not necessarily one shot perhaps 2 taps at lethal range, with of course a headshot bonus for all weapons like 1.5x with range damage reduction to prevent headshots from some weapon types.

Well you'll get the hang of it with some effort. The good thing about the similarities is that you can use csgo guides to get the basics down (most valorant guides so far have been about the abilities)
@@TheEpicPancake any tips for me I played apex a lot and it was my first shooter joined it like 3 months ago and got really good at it but when I play valorant I suck because I just constantly move while shooting because of playing apex
@@rioksek8930 Yeah, unfortunately you're just gonna be in a trial by fire until it starts to click. You can afford to move when you're at point blank most times, but in longer ranges it's better to stand still or strafe and pause to take a few shots before you strafe again. It's definitely learnable though, and you end up building muscle memory for both types of games, so at least it won't ruin your dodging ability.

they probably signed an embargo so whenever they uploaded content it would all have to be at the same time, so no one has the "advantage" of showing it first

@Ed Bedhead there is no way this kill csgo. cs have their own charm. thats why cs has been biggest game since the release.
Personally, i don't like it. Almost every fps adds abilities in some way, and the lack of them is what makes us go back to csgo. It is not a very original idea and the game looking like Paladins doesn't help.
