I own a 23 Z performance in metallic black, I was easily able to keep up with two lambos the other day on our way to a meet. I was doing 100+ in 2-3 gear…… easily. Went to leave the meet and you know how people take footage, I went to hit the gas a bit for the crowd, next thing I know I’m doing a 720 spin (forgot traction control was off) 😂 can’t wait to tune it

Hey, yes get one if you have the funds. If you don’t have the funds you can still get great 60ft’s as long as you keep the wheel straight.

Were you brake boosting in any runs ? If not that’s actually crazy, more seat time and that and you’ll no doubt be low 5s for sure. Probably tuned for WMI would help a lot too.
Just a little up to like 7psi. I didn’t want to risk breaking the tires loose or shocking the motor with a big initial hit of TQ. I’ll keep finessing it until I find the sweet spot.

Your tune isn’t set up to shift on its own? Or you just not wanting to get in the red?
Yea, but I’m trying not to go so high in the rpm because I’m getting oil pressure drop up top. I have to change the oil restrictors to something much smaller.
I’ve decided to swap out cartridges to the ball bearing ones so I don’t starve the turbos of oil by using tighter oil restrictors.

It’s the exact same. The difference is that they just release z1 turbos for the q50/q60. They will yield the same results, they haven’t been released for the z yet and he adapted them to it.
@@2seep yeah I know he got the z1s but even the qs with turbos don’t do nearly high 5s I’m assuming weight reduction then .
@@boosthappy2338I think I agree with your thoughts. Something about the platform either weight or other differences make the Z faster.
@@boosthappy2338yeah it’s weight. Most q50 and q60s are 3800-3900 with awd the Z is high 3400 to almost 3600. Also the Z’s auto having 2 extra gears helps too
You can’t set the shift points higher? You’re not even hitting 7k rpm I’m not familiar with these cars but I take my mustang up to 7700.
Rev limiter is 7k. The oil pump can’t keep up over 7k so it’s a risk shifting any higher.
