My hair starts falling out around the 4 month mark as well. Our youngest is now 18 months and I feel like it FINALLY looks better. There is so much that our bodies go through we really need to just give ourselves grace, we made humans! It will all even out at some point. You look great!

I'm sorry about how you're feeling about your hair loss, but thank you for sharing as I'm also going through it at the moment and am not liking the way it looks, especially when I put my hair up in a ponytail! I think I also started losing hair around the same spots as you around the 3-4 months mark. I don't have any tips to share, just trying to wash and dry gently (no heat) and wait for time to do its job :) And don't worry too much, you look amazing!

always so happy when each of your vlogs come out ! DEFINITELY resonating with the wardrobe change after having a baby ! so strange how it's not even about our bodies so much as a MENTAL shift where we just don't feel those outfits anymore and have a need to start fresh :)) your OOTD in this video is adorable ! thanks for being genuine and relatable.

Aww dear mama, thank you for always being so open and vulnerable xx. Definitely feeling the sweat pant phase (7weeks pp). As for hair loss - of course check with your practitoner but low stomach acid, or deficiencies in b vitamins and zinc can be a culprit (among the hormone chaos 😂). Fatty acids, b complex, pumpkin seeds can be a few things to check about. All the love ( nutritionist & nurse specializing in womens health)

I am 5 months postpartum and just like clockwork I knew it would hit right at 4 months (with my first baby it was even more terrifying). And WHAM!! Just shedding that does not end. Fortunately I started upping my gelatin and omega fats, but not in a casual way. I went ALL IN with a high quality fish oil, coconut oil in and on everything and scoops of beef gelatin in my smoothies oats etc. It has helped so much. I am still getting the shedding, but its nowhere near how severe it was with baby #1. And as an unexpected added benefit, my gut health has improved so much. Hope this helps.... Love love love your channel for years now...

I had no idea how much my confidence and body image were tied to my hair until it started falling out postpartum. I don’t think any of the gimmicky remedies I tried actually worked. Rather, I think getting PLENTY of water and protein helped. If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t have been so hard on myself with trying to be so easy on my hair. I went through a point where I was only showering a couple of time a week because I was so scared of the hair fall and like you said, I just couldn’t deal with it emotionally. I’m almost 2 years postpartum now and I still have *tons* of baby bangs growing in, but my hair finally looks almost presentable again. So much of it is just that time has to pass and you don’t have any control over that! It’s so hard to accept that though.
Also on buying new clothes - I went out and got a whole new wardrobe at about 6 months postpartum, thinking my weight had plateaued and that was just my new body. Nope! Ended up losing quite a bit more weight after that and needed all new clothes again. I just remember thinking “man it’s been so long already - surely this is my new body” 😂 all of those intermediate clothes went to charity a few months ago.
It’s like just being in limbo for two years! All worth it in the end of course, but I wish people talked more about these unglamorous bits. I had no idea what I was in for!

My hair is currently shedding/falling out from hormones being off. My advice, don't brush it when it's wet. Your hair is super sensitive when it's when and you could be pulling on it and not know it.

Yesssss! PP Hairloss is the worst! I vividly remember that I thought I was going to end up bald! One thing that I didn't do after birth was to continue my prenatal vitamins & a lot of people told me how it is helping with hairloss. Thereafter I opted my Collagen intake and it improved a lot!
Found out that I'm pregnant again when our first was 16 months old & in both pregnancies I am experiencing Hairloss DURING my pregnancy, especially the first trimester. It is normal, just not such a common symptom. Also added Mint & Rosemary oil to my hair routine now & will increase the Collagen again, but yess it is definitely tough & take SO long to grow back again xx Much love 💖💖

I started losing A LOT of hair at 3-4 months post partum, and felt a bit off, so I checked my thyroid and it showed I had gotten post partum thyreoditis (hyper thyriosis) which probably was one of the reasons for the major hair loss. Hoping it will heal out by itself which it does in most of the cases

I was experiencing so much hair loss postpartum I was afraid to even touch my hair sometimes and was embarrassed to put it in a ponytail for a while but a friend heard me talking about it and shared this collagen product from a company called Modere. I noticed a difference after like a month of taking it. I highly recommend it!

4 months postpartum here. Yes, I’m loosing my hair as well (which I don’t mind because I know it’s normal) BUT! You better brash your hair without worrying because hair that must go will go ANYWAY. By slowing down this process you pretty much slowing down the process of having your hair back. Your new hair need space and energy to grow and it’s harder when it’s a bunch of already half dead half alive hair on your head.

This is my second baby so I know that it will stop and grow back in eventually but yeah, no, this part sucks. I feel like my hair just looks flat and thin and dull.
Months 4-6 with a baby are SO HARD!! 4 month leaps, regressions, new skills, longer wake windows - I am currently having to do 2-3 overnight feeds just because my girl is honestly SO hungry, and I doubt it will improve until she starts solids next month and mama is tired.

As a beauty therapist I feel like your skin may be more on the dry side , I would not recommend a clay mask for you I would use a mask that adds oil such as rosehip oil and twice a week you could use a loofah glove then use your hyaluronic acid . At night you could mix organic rose hip oil with some inexpensive sukin day cream . It will save you heaps OF MONEY too. The beauty industry trys to make us think we need lots of different things on our face lol. A good all over body cream that I use is unrefined Shea Butter that I buy from a wholesaler. You look beautiful and if you use castor oil on your hair sometimes and wrap it you will see your hair come back. I really enjoy watching your mum tips .

My secret for dealing with pp hair loss… stomp giving a f*ck. Really I just couldn’t. You’re right 4 months is a hard time. The new baby support is all gone everyone expects you to be back to normal. I ran out of leave and had to go back to work and it was just exhausting and I just couldn’t care. I put my hair up and showed off my bald spots and just rocked it. Didn’t even think about it and the phase like all parenting phases passed quickly.

I have the identity crisis right now of being pregnant and so much bigger with my second. I want to wear cute clothes that’ll boost my confidence, but truly everything is so uncomfortable and doesn’t fit as my body changes throughout the day - leggings and biker shorts it is, I guess!

Its interesting this PP hairloss, l had none with my last and she was a C-section whereas l did experience mild PP loss with a vaginal unmedicated delivery. 🤔

its sooo awful and my hair was thin and fine to begin with. I just googled it and it said it last usually till your baby is 1 years old. OMG, i was hoping it was almost over..😪😪

Hair loss is no joke, vitamins are the solution for me. Biotin, collagen, vitamin E

I have pretty fine, oily hair but during my pregnancies my hair and skin was…wow! So different, healthy and glowy! That’s one of the reasons I want to get pregnant again 😂 it was such a nice break from having to wash my every other day 🤭

I feel you! My hair was so good never oily either. I could go easily a week without washing it and it still looked perfect 😆

Thank you so much for continuing to be so transparent about post partum phases. The hair loss has had me crying in the shower so much lately.

Fun fact when you're pregnant your hair all gets on the same growing phase that's why it all falls out at the same time. There is a product I've been using called zenagen that works with your hormones rather Is then a topical medication that will help your hair grow back and once you stop using it you won't lose the hair that's already grown back

Suffered from the same problem twice. My recommendation would be not to wear a towel on your head for so long (10 minutes max).

You look amazing Nikole, don’t ever doubt that! I went through a hair loss phase about 6 months ago, I can confidently say I am on the upside of things now. I worked with my doctor to increase my Vitamin D intake, took a collagen supplement, took a biotin supplement, and used a scalp massager to work my hair growth shampoo (Andalou Naturals) in. All of these in combination helped a ton and my hair is not only growing back but so strong now too! I pray your hair stops falling and grows rapidly! 🙏🏼❤️😊

Girl, where you have those tiny little hair growing back is exactly where my 2 giant bald spots are on each side of my temples. I would kill to have the tiny hair you have growing back. Mine look like the follicles have died and there is nothing growing back. So yeah...fun times 🤦🏽

I have been putting off getting a haircut because of the hairloss. I feel too embarrased to let the hairdresser wash my hair. 🫣 Also, I have been gaining a bit of weight because I comfort eat. I barely have any me time so having a yummy snack is the next best thing. 😂
